We fly by wire these days, doing the steering should be a doddle.
Love that video @Rene

Today I need to sort out the double pole isolation switch.
BP tell me that Motability will pay for it, around £170. Work that only my energy supplier, OVO, can do.
The question is, how do I organise my energy supplier to invoice BP on behalf of Motability. I wish there was a much smoother way of doing this as I am not be the first person, yet it feels quite daunting. I wish BP, Motability and the energy company would talk between themselves. Chinese whispers coming up? Lets see.

November 29, 2021 at 10:14 am in reply to: Lease nearly over and struggling to find suitable car #170278Hi Laura, in addition to finding a suitable car, the build times for cars is shocking at the moment.
I can see you spending a good bit of time trawling through the Motability website. Citroen do some large vehicles, some of which are more function than form.
Best of luck.

I know of a bad driver declined a car, not insurance.
Fingers crossed for a successful test. As @masquerade says, call Motability to get their thoughts and clarification.

It would be possible to extend the order date in some circumstances. If your order date was middle of March, your price list is this quarter and you can place an order middle of December. What would be wrong with someone placing an order 1 October for delivery in March? That would add another couple of months or so. Sadly, Motability are not that dynamic.
Right where is the next hoop I have to jump through BP?

My first was the rear wheel drive 120d coupe and it was such a hoot. Ah the memories come flooding back to me now.
Have you tried it out in the snow at all? Zoom zoom

November 28, 2021 at 2:07 pm in reply to: Hope I won’t regret ordering 2-wheel drive this time ???♀️? #170221I think the front wheel drive BMW should be as good as any other front wheel drive car. I know my rear wheel drive BMW refused to go out in the snow – the slightest incline became a massive hurdle!
Enjoy the snow!

My parked van has been hit head on by someone driving with only a peep hole cleared.
My bugbear is when there is a lot of snow on the roof of the car and its not cleared off.

That would be nice, but I am expecting it to go to Motability. But fingers crossed.

Hi geezer, good to see you as well! I’m planning a trip in the ID3 and Blackpool is on the short list!

Hi all. I placed an order for a VW ID3 at the beginning of November and have received the obligatory text message from BP about the installation. There is plenty of time before the said car arrives, thankfully.
As I have no confidence in BP, my expectation is a rocky ride. My charge point will be at least 25m from my electric meter, it needs to go through the loft void, under a garden path and there isn’t anywhere for the charger to be fixed to. Yes, I have very low expectations of a smooth, trouble free installation. I am expecting additional costs.
But hey, if the bulk of the cost is met by Motability, I am not going to complain, well, not at first!
BP seem to have little appetite for customer care/satisfaction and Motability are not up to speed with the changing market. It is a recipe for disaster.
