I’m presuming the 17s would add a bit more comfort around town but a bit more road noise on A roads and motorways?

This car bar size is perfect and the size ain’t as bad as I thought. I would happily pay the AP. I need to get the measuring tape out again.

It would be nice to enjoy a car again and I loved the old Kona from the first drive to the last drive. I have only enjoyed the e3008 twice while out driving at night. Even when I left the showroom I was a bit miffed as I knew even then that there was no V2L.

I also worried about winter range. Anything under 220 is not worth it. And as I’m only getting around that now in good conditions I dread what it would be in winter.

        A trip last week.

Full charge so 326 on GOM. All A and B roads never over 55mph. No wipers or climate as it was a nice day. Went easy as I like to enjoy my drive through the country side. Me and two light kids. Traveled 86 mile and used up 138 miles of range on that drive.

One thing I have noticed is when in energy tab under usage it’s always showing around 18 to 32% of the battery being used on ‘other’ when I’m driving, obviously not as much as e-motor but always well above climate. I don’t even know what other is, lights, radio etc. but seems very high

Just had a look. Nice wagon, saw the battery size then went no further tbh

Yes. Just says frunk for storing charging and V2L cables. Not sure about lower model’s as I was reading the ultimate spec.

I spoke to Hyundai salesmen yesterday about the 5. He says he done the network search which I presume is what Boris was talking about and said there is none. There was one he showed me a namsam with 15 mile on it but it was my23 and said mobility would not let me order a my23.

But he is a salesman man and was pushing me towards ordering a my25 ioniq 5 or taking a stock new my24? Kona.

Less. Hence the no comment on it lol. Most things seem to have ironed themselves out, but sat nav not working and blank screen persist. I’ve had problems with my phone in the car. It rings but I can’t use the phone nor can I use the infotainment screen as nothing shows, just normal screen. Phone works as if there was no call coming through, just rings. I have to disconnect phone from car to get it to work.

Drive selector still hit and miss and last time was at temp traffic lights. I knew I’d sit for a bit at them so hit park and put handbrake on.

When lights changed it would not select. I got phone out and recorded it clearly showing me pressing brake pedal and try to select D. Had to turn car off to get it to work.

Also I’m sure the people behind me weren’t too amused.

Go into the app and under connected services you will see a few options that have to be paid for. You will see one that is £109 for the year called connected plus. You will get the year or more free.

Tbh it’s rubbish and never works anyway. I try it at least 2-3 times a day everyday that I’ve had it, about 4 weeks and it only worked once.

As WMC says. There’s no stock anywhere in the UK. I’m in NI and have just phoned a few dealers and one checked the whole of the UK and zero.

They also have no idea when it will come on the scheme and at what ap it will be.

Paul if you go into settings then go to Brightness you’ll see Cockpit and a slider from 0 to 15. But in mine sometimes you can slide sometimes not, either way it does not work.

Yes we all have to press the X to turn camera off and it’s a big complaint by many.

I’ve read on FB that it happens to quite a few phones. I think it maybe certain phones

@Ioniq if I were to find an i5 in stock would motability still let me order it? And am I right in thinking that the AP for the ultimate was £2049?

Genpeach that’s a good point and the reason why I always bring a tape measure with me and measure the boots. A good example as I’ve still loads of measurements stored in my phone.

                              Kona L 32″ W 41″

                              Octavia L 40″ W 40″

                              Tucson L 34″ W41

Who would have thought that the Kona boot is wider than an Octavia and as wide as a Tucson. These measurements are also from the least widest point. A thing I don’t like in the e3008 as it’s all boxed whereas the Konas boot was built around the wheel arches freeing up a bit more room.

How about some good news. I had to go for a drive to a friends house. Motorway there and country roads back. Sport mode lol. That’s was good fun tbh. Now I’m not one for knowing or caring about handling, but for such a big car it’s fine in my world, and I horsed it tbh. Not as quick as the Kona, but still nippy, and it’s so quiet. Except for one narrow country lane which was enclosed with bushes on both sides.

I put the window down a bit and the noise was nice, a whirr, we are not jet engine, but a nice sound all the same when you put the pedal down. And it’s solid, the nuts, bolts and the pieces that hold it all together, well they are well put together.

Also it’s such a beautiful place to sit in, especially at night. I enjoyed that drive tbh, mind I’ve never hated the car, just peed at the problems, some of which kill the joy of driving it.

But, but, but another quirk, not a problem but another quirk. Something was rattling about on the back floor. Pulled over to turn interior lights on and see if I can grab it. There’s no light switch for the whole interior. Each light can be turned on individually or I can open the door to turn them all on, but no switch for all, and that’s a first in all the cars I’ve ever had.

Declan I didn’t set mine up, so have a wee hoke to see if it is in settings, and the less said about what we pay for electric and even worse gas the better lol

Paul I just went out and checked the panel, big screen? And mine is nicely curved to suit the driver. But dam you man. The car was warm so I put the window down while in it. We pull to put window up, nothing, another wee pull, nowt, a big pull, zilch. 6th tug it eventually went up. I walked up the garden just laughing as that’s where I’m at. I’ve been peed off with it and has many a headache. Now I’m at a stage were I just laughed at it.

This morning started well as the app worked and I was able to heat the car up. Good start, then it all went to pot doing the school run. Tried to phone other half and it wouldn’t work. Hung up on phone as car wouldn’t let me do it. Listening to radio about 10 minutes later and a voice just appeared and said ‘hello, what’s up’. It was my other half. Told her I didn’t phone her, she says I did, I said about 10 minutes ago, she said no just now.

So the car can now make phone calls on its own unless you burn the car or smash your phone lol. Then on the shopping trip the heating wouldn’t work. On the screen it has everything, fan speed, right left symbol etc, but no temperature reading, just the + – symbol. So couldn’t adjust the heat.

A wee quirk also which is a bit annoying and stupid tbh. When you put the heated seats on and turn the car off, go about your business and come back and start the car, the heated seats will still be on. They need turned off after every trip.

Declan I’m driving like you and only getting 3.2 and also worried about winter range.

Mick I’m fine with the seat, just find it a bit hard. I’m 5′ 11” and 15st 8. The centre console hits my leg but is now padded unlike the old 3008. No problems with reaching the screens as I use my left hand so don’t need to go near the wheel. But aye I see why people complained about removing buttons as even with the short cut touch buttons and I toggle it can still be a lot of faff to get done what you want.

Another thing people may not like is the amount of images and info on the screen, there seems to be a lot and it can be frustrating tbh especially as a lot of things make the clock disappear. Incase you didn’t know, if you hold down the rotary volume button on the centre console it will turn of the infotainment screen and just leave a clock with date.

I’m also starting to think that people may be reading my posts and thinking I’m just looking for problems now. I’m not, I made my peace with the car and decided to keep it on three different occasions hoping that all these things will it get sorted and I can just enjoy the car. I could probably get over the same 2 or 3 problems repeating. But now it just seems like a new problem every day.

I get absolutely zero enjoyment out of the car tbh. Sorry I’m lying, I love the wee steering wheel lol

Well aware Kezo as the first thing I done was crawl through the Grandland broucher to see if it mentioned the mythical Stellantis V2L lol.

Glos guy Unfortunately that’s were I see the problem. If a car ticks all your boxes then more than likely you would order and take a gamble without test driving. If they don’t allow it then it can’t happen and takes that risk away. And if I return the car what’s the first question motability will ask, did you test drive it? Nope, because you put on the scheme before it was in showrooms. Why did you not wait until it was in the showroom, because you’d probably remove it or alter the price. TBF they did but to my advantage this time.

That will happen with me as I’m definitely getting rid as this morning was another pain, and another new problem.

I was similar to pops in that I had the 3008 and had an idea of the car, and that the little annoying things in it would hopefully be fixed in this, and they were TBF.

Ele I’ve heard it on here and other places about receiving brand new, built from scratch cars and didn’t give it much thought until this one but me in the… I don’t think I would do it again, but then the biggest thing for me regarding motability is that the car can be handed back if there is many problems. In my case, many problems, give dealer/Peugeot chance to fix, give the car the best chance ie trying to stick it out, but no I’ve completely lost confidence in the car. Especially after it unlocked, opened the boot and turned the radio on by itself. Similar to the other poster who had to leave the keys in the car over night to stop alarm going off.

Those two things are just completely unacceptable.

Cheers Kezo. I’ll do that tomorrow. I’ve never had a problem before so just presumed they would tell me to take it to the dealer first.

So presuming the app gets fixed as preconditioning is now essential, the bugs get ironed out and I just give up on V2L although three years is a long time to wait to get something I really wanted and thought I was getting. That just leaves the range, which is poor.

The Kona I could get 260ish without trying and in the e3008 I’m only getting 220ish by really trying. The e3008 is about 440 kg heavier but the e3008 has a 9kw more bigger and more modern battery. This is in similar good weather. So I’m really concerned with winter range. Anything under 220 in winter would be of no use to me.

I honestly don’t know what to do, mind if the ioniq 5 was still on id get that in a heartbeat.

Sorry Paul I’m just seeing this now as I’ve not been looking at this thread. I’ve been actively avoiding it as I’m at the stage now where I don’t want to think about, or talk about this car. That’s were I am with it now tbh, absolutely zero enjoyment.

I’ve read that Peugeot have acknowledged that the app doesn’t work and are releasing a new or update version. That would make things a bit easier. The weekend was bad and once again after thinking I’ll just keep it, it has now pushed me to breaking point.

Saturday I had to drop my child off at a new friends house which was in the country side. I had no idea where this house was and I was told by the owner that it was hard to find. Sat nav didn’t work. It took me ages to find it using Google maps on phone while driving as phone would not connect to the car.

It was a cool morning the car was set at 23 degrees and fan speed 3. Later that afternoon I was going out for dinner and had to pick a few friends up. I was all cleaned up, feeling fresh with nice pressed clothes. It was warm then, get into car and it was very warm in it. Screen wash blank, I couldn’t change the temperature so ended up feeling all sweaty and sticky as I couldn’t change the temperature. I didn’t enjoy that meal as I was raging tbh.

Most of the things ain’t happened again, some have some haven’t. I was going away for 5 days so phoned dealer to leave it in and have it looked over while away. Brought it over and they just run a scan and told me they can’t do anything until Peugeot gets back to them as they have to ok everything. That was ten days ago and I still ain’t heard anything.

I ain’t said anything to mobility yet as I believe they will just tell me to take it to the dealer. So, well I honestly don’t know. There’s nothing decent for me regarding V2L and price wise. The new quarter is a bit away. I honestly don’t know what to do. But I do not like this car, it’s been one headache and bad mood after another.

Solyamr when I ordered the Enyaq I got a receipt / contact style bit of paper. It said that it was a contract but had some other clear words on it. It was some random words you don’t see to often like pro bono, I can’t remember them tbh. It clearly stated that I had a contract in my hands but the other wording said not. When I googled the meaning of the word it basically said that the contract I held was as reliable as a handshake and had no legal clout for either party to use against the other if in dispute.

Contacts was widely discussed on here around that time I ordered, so early February. It might be worth searching to see if it helps you

Pops I’m going to put a positive spin on this which you may have already thought off. There has been two recalls before my car was delivered. Head light problem and microphone problem. My car doesn’t have these issues so I have to believe that they were fixed before I took delivery.

I believe there may be a third recall regarding the parking break problem, it shouldn’t effect me as is in dealership for 4 days while I’m away. Hopefully then the other issues will have been sorted.

My thinking is that by the time you get the car all if not most of the problems will be sorted. A short drive home in the dark last night convinced me to keep the car as it’s a beautiful place to sit in. Until the parking break problem came back and the screens wouldn’t turn off, sigh lol.

I’ve a good car, with your packs it will be a cracking car and hopefully as you ain’t got it or even a rough date for delivery, then all these problems will be a thing of the past and by the time you do get it, then you will enjoy the car. Fingers crossed!
