with Q2 upon us Motability has announced they will be producing their pricing as usual on the 1st April, although you can’t order until the government restrictions are relaxed.
with the current economic climate we could see some changes, hopefully even some new additions filtering on the scheme. With Q2 starting next week I know any advance changes may not make a difference at present but the thread is for reference and pricing for when we can use the information.

PhiljbI’d wait and tear drive the new version just in case the boot is narrower of smaller or the seats are too small/big/uncomfortable. You don’t want to blindly order any car just because it’s a facelift or new model.

PhiljbTest drive
April 8, 2020 at 10:31 pm #111405A tear drive might be more fun tho. ?

RichardDepends it might not actually happen if we enter recession as predicted & we have huge job losses new car purchases could collapse & we could actually see Q3 prices drop hugely, just trying to look at it positively but it makes sense to me.
Given only 2000 have been given gov loans to prop them up so far I’m guessing the scheme is tricky to navigate so it might be numerous companies go to the wall

April 27, 2020 at 4:04 pm #112369A bit of possible news, I have been on the phone to my local Ford dealership after receiving a text cancelling my Motability car 3 year service for the second time, it was due to be service on the 4th May, it has now been rescheduled provisionally for the 11th June.
We had a bit of a chat, I explained all things being good I have already ordered my replacement and received the Motability conformation order for the 30th May, he informed all things going well dealerships are gearing up to open up the sales showroom from the 11th May if the government gives the nod ?
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

StavIn the new lifestyle magazine it teases that the ID3 and ID4 are joining the scheme ,wonder what ap would be like on the ID4 as it wont be a cheap car.

BrydoStav that would be interesting, not sure when we will be able to get a drive in either but if the info is true it’s great news.

@Stav, I’m reading that the ID3 & 4 are suffering from huge software issues as of March. VW have 10,000 technicians working on it!
Hopefully it’s sorted quick but either way, I suspect that the early cars will suffer issues.? I will be remembered for nothing but had great fun doing it ?
April 30, 2020 at 10:44 am #112529I think any car that was due to launch later this year will be pushed back to the start of next year due to Covid

MatthewAnyone got a XC40 t3 ,if so do u find the 1.5 engine man enough for a car that size
April 30, 2020 at 6:30 pm #112578
72 dudesMatthew, I have a T4 but I tried the T3 before deciding.
The T3 is fine, more than up to the job and very refined for a 3 cylinder.
But I went with a T4 in the end as there’s not a huge efficiency benefit with the T3 and I felt I would always wonder what I was missing!
April 30, 2020 at 7:05 pm #112579
MatthewThanks for that , I have an X1 at the min but like the look of the xc40
April 30, 2020 at 9:47 pm #112589
MatthewWhat is your fuel economy like on the t4 ?
May 1, 2020 at 8:46 am #112598
72 dudesWell we only took delivery on 10th March, and then lockdown happened, so total mileage is only 420!
Fuel computer is reading 32.4 and I’ve done a couple of brim to brim top-ups which suggest this is accurate.

StavWonder when the official pricelist will come back. Im thinking it could be any day from now as showrooms open on monday. Also seems motability will be up and running as they say that £50 insurance rebate will be sent out about that time onwards.
May 7, 2020 at 3:41 pm #112987I emailed my local Mitsubishi dealership apparently they can open up the workshop for servicing only, no news regarding the showrooms.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
