Im from Glasgow and found my Mini garage (giffnock) to be very poor and were not really that interested… Stratsone Mini in Newcastle however were absolutely brilliant and i ended up buying the car from them. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were just first class from the very first moment i spoke to them to the very last time i spoke to them when picking the car up. Infact it was actually on here with their posts that had drawn me to them.
thats the one that I went to. They didn’t seem interested and the mobility guy was at bmw over the road
no offer to show me round the cars from any other sales person either
Before using this forum I had no idea you could get discounts so that’s one good thing I suppose
I found mini Glasgow to be pretty bad for getting advice on prices etc
May 10, 2020 at 9:03 pm in reply to: Are Large Advance Payments An Unnecessary Waste Of Our Money #113107I just wish there wasn’t such a large difference in AP for having a automatic gearbox as I only have a automatic license
I think any car that was due to launch later this year will be pushed back to the start of next year due to Covid
I haven’t game Motability my Mobile number so wonder if they’d just call can you access your Motability account online ?
I believe the text customers will receive about the Good Condition Bonus contains both a link and details of how to set up an account. If they haven’t got a mobile phone number to send a text to, I presume you will receive a cheque. You could always use the ‘update your details’ webform on the Motability website to give your mobile number to Motability: https://www.motability.co.uk/contact/update-your-details/
thanks ? had no idea you could update those details online

Anyone have any idea when the current model will be around till as I’d like to get the Tiguan r line but don’t turn 25 till next April ?
thanks
Had a look at the Nissan prices and it appears the Nissan qashqai tekna 115 has went up in price slightly

April 26, 2020 at 10:13 am in reply to: Car dealers told they can start to sell and deliver cars again #112277How about motability and dealers getting together and selling nearly new stock. It’s extreme times and extreme times call for extreme measures. This could be offered for a limited time and could allow us to purchase higher trim cars to help get the motor trade industry moving again. I’m not talking about an M3 instead of a 3 series SE, I mean something like a Skoda L&K over an SEL.
I think getting more cars on order will help get the production lines up and running
then general public will help fix the leftover used car stock
I hope we will see a reduction in AP as I’m due to renew in September but no one knows I guess
New build housing/flats aren’t really being built with chargers for cars so I can’t see them putting anything in for disabled spaces
the 5 yrs before the ban of petrol car production will see a rush to fit loads more charging points.
I just hope they’ve done the upgrades the the power grid to cope with thisHybrid maybe but not fully electric as not everybody lives in a house with a driveway and if you live in a flat you a pretty much screwed lol
It was a different engine back then which is now discontinued, 115bhp I think it was, s trim, I think they removed it when they added the match trim a year and a half ago I think
ahh ok would’ve loved to get one but I’ll just head for the focus or qashqai
How’d you manage to get a Tiguan if you were under 25 ?
I think the BHP limit will have to be changed as many of the new electric and hybrid vehicles are over the current limit. It’s not as if these vehicles are faster than the current models due to the extra weight of the batteries.
yeah agree
one thing I’ve found frustrating is that on a lot of models it costs more to get the lower BHP engine than getting the higher BHP engine.
would probably be in the minority for it but it would maybe be a good idea to have a small increase in BHP limit for heavier cars for under 25 users such as the kajar, qashqai and tiguan etc as a lot of these cars come with 120BHP+ engines
Georgie – have considered that although no doubt it would be due a facelift by that time ? will take a look at the Ford kuga once reviews are out
If you type in Ford Escape PHEV into your search engine you will get road tests on the US and Australian version of the Ford Kuga, same car just called Escape.
ah ok thanks for letting me know
Lucky for me I’m a twin so he’s always put people in their place if they’ve looking at my walking or made comment
some people are just rude

Hope we see a big reduction in AP for qashqai or focus as I would like to get one of them
would’ve got the r line tech but will be 6 months short of my 25 birthday ??
Yes they do
I’d think it will drop a bit after a few quarters, depends on other private/lease sales. I’m at my dealer tonight, I’d ask them about the new car, but, given their lack of information in general it’d be akin to holding an Ouija session.
true ? I haven’t seen a review from any major YouTube channel so I know little about the car at the moment
Aren’t these prices a bit high for the kuga ?
