Just some advice

Thought I’d start a thread on little tips, please post anything you think will help.

one of the main things I’d like to say is don’t be afraid to say no on the day, you don’t have to take the car until the pin is entered, 2017 we picked up a Tiguan a (was u25) and the dealer said it’d come with Apple car play, I felt a little pressured and just entered the pin even tho it didn’t have CarPlay. So yeah if you’ve been promised something and on the day the car doesn’t have it, either they add it or you leave.

one other tip, if there are any faults with the car that aren’t your fault and you’ve tried getting it fixed multiple times with no success, contact motability, you’ll be entitled to a full AP refund, I know because I’ve just finished the process of doing so, fault touch screen, tried 5 times to fix, no result, now when we order the next car motability will be sending us our full AP plus you get good condition bonus!

If you wanna find out any cars motability plan on adding to the scheme just call customer service and just simply ask, they have a list (some don’t say because apparently they’ve changed the rules) but most the time they do, so if you’re not sure on what to order and want maybe some more choice, give them a call, but this list isn’t always 100% as the xc40 hybrid was on that list for many many weeks but fell through as they couldn’t come up with a deal

How’d you manage to get a Tiguan if you were under 25 ?

It was a different engine back then which is now discontinued, 115bhp I think it was, s trim, I think they removed it when they added the match trim a year and a half ago I think

The base spec Tiguan petrol was just under the insurance bracket for under 25s I believe.

When I got our Tiguan the dealer emailed me a welcome to your new Tiguan brochure with details of spec and all the extras.
Before I even did anything I got the dealer to show me everything and how it worked, then both they and me are covered.
I wouldn’t enter my pin until you try everything and thoroughly inspect the car. Bring someone with you so you don’t just get doe eyed at the site of a shiny new car.
