On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusThe Kona is a good EV.
I drove one last week and was impressed with it. It also has a reliable on board charging schedule unlike the ID.3.
Thanks for you info.

Yeah the onboard charging menu is useless and has not worked since the car was introduced but VW say they have fixed this and the fix will be in the Software 3.0 update which is due this quarter but to get this Over the Air update you need to take it to a dealer for them to install Software 2.4 for 3.0 to go in.
I’m with Octopus and currently I have a decent day rate along with the 5p for the 4 hours at night.

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusDecember 12, 2021 at 10:42 am in reply to: FreeFree Motability charger! How much have you actually paid? #171470For me the charger was fitted 2 weeks after ordering the car with Motability.
I had no charges at all. I was also given the option of either running it from the house consumer unit or run it straight from the meter cabinet via an outdoor small consumer unit which was no extra charge. I went for the latter.
It was a breeze compared to some nightmare stories that surround BP Pulse.

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusI’m not being rude at all. I am just stating a fact in which you believe is untrue.
What this means is you don’t know how some Specialists are employed by the dealer and I was pointing out a fact.
Some dealers they are jack of all trades but not all.
VW ID.3 Tour 77 kWh Pro S 204PS Manganese Grey
On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusAre the ‘Motability Specialists’ only Motability sales? I don’t believe that’s the case, all I’ve dealt with at VW and elsewhere have simply had a day course to do that job. They still sell private vehicles, given the demand I’m sure they’ll just sell more private vehicles than they usually would during a normal month.
Obviously you do not know a great deal. I can assure you that there are some Motabilty Specialist just work with Motability customers. I know of 3 of them within different dealerships.
VW ID.3 Tour 77 kWh Pro S 204PS Manganese Grey
On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusI don’t agree that the dealerships will be at significant financial detriment, quite the opposite. Sales are at an all time high, those Motability sales folk will easily have those orders filled by private customers. Certainly no sympathy for anyone here except the potential Motability customer whose needs may have been filled far sooner, and as a result of VW choosing to pander to private buyers they have suffered further with reduced mobility as a result. It’s bordering on shameful, and frankly bad publicity that VAG have taken this blanket stance rather than keeping the countries most vulnerable mobile through the scheme. Many would have seen that as a positive move in these trying times.
I was not meaning the actual dealership.
Some of these Motabilty Specialists only deal with that contract and do no other sales at all. And for them it will hit them and their families pocket. Over the next however long this will go on for they will only be getting “where’s my car”. So that’s what I was meaning. We all know the dealerships will be OK.

I know there are many that wait for the quarterly prices to see what is available and at what price so as they can then plan if they are ordering within that quarter. To give the info on the 1st and then 3 weeks later remove these vehicles is shattering to many. I hope that things can get back to normal ASAP whatever that maybe moving forward.
I would like to also say this. There are many VW Motability Specialists in the dealerships that look after us when we order these vehicles and their earnings for indefinite period. I know their are some not so good and some that go the extra mile but they will be significantly hit financially with this instruction which Motability has undertaken. So if you have managed to order one these cars please be patient with them as the delays are mothing to do with them and I can assure you they are at times just as much in the dark as you and me.

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusI am going by how my Tiguan works on “Auto Hold”. When its on it is both holding the vehicle on a hill and to top vehicle creeping as its an auto and also when you come to stop and park up it turns the parking/handbrake on.
I think on many recent cars cars “Auto Hold” does the job of everything in applying the a parking/handbrake.

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusHi Chris
Yes that is me you see on the Tiguan MK2 forum. I was going to suggest that forum to you but you’re there before me. Its a great forum for many issues. I shall remain on that forum for a while whilst the wife keeps her Tiguan.
I myself am moving away from the Tiguan. I would still highly recommend the Tiguan to anybody. Its a great car and its fab to drive. I have and still enjoy driving mine and glad I went for it in the end. Before yesterday my mind was to stay with the Tiguan. I had been looking at EV and especially the Kona as it has a 300 mile range. I did look at the ID3 but they wanted £4500 for something similar in range to the Kona. Then early yesterday morning my dealer called me with the latest AP’s and then found that they had reduced the AP for the 77kwh ID3 by £3100. So I popped down to the dealer just to have a look at the ID3 again but this time I was given a key to an ID3 to go and test drive. They drive superbly.
So with the reduction in the AP and they way they drive I ordered an ID3 Pro S Tour 77kwh. I should hopefully get it by my changeover date but like you not really fussed if its not on time as I enjoy the Tig.
I can assure you that you will really enjoy having the Tiguan.

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusOne worrying aspects of future AP’s having been watching very closely the cost of the retail sales pricing of the VW Tiguan this year is they (VW) have issued 3 price rises so far this year to the retail price and have noted the last two, one in May and another yesterday, is there getting more regular. I do wonder with the prices of second-hand cars also sky rocketing are Motability getting a good share of those rises or, and more likely, the dealers are making a killing with ex Motability cars so nothing to off set future AP’s other than price rises for the likes of you and me. I’m reasonably happy that the Tiguan Elegance has only risen £250 as the fear was it might go the way of the Touran that still has a price around £3,500 AP for what is nothing more than a 2010 MPV.
Hi Chris
Long time no speak
Not sure if you are interested in getting the Tiguan Elegance but when I was in my dealers yesterday he showed me the weekly delay report and currently the 1.5 tsi Elegance has a 26 week delay.

On order Skoda Enyaq 85X Sportline PlusHi Marcus, I have a very good dealer and I get on very well with their Motability Specialist. I ordered my Tiguan with him 3 years ago and he kept me well informed on that order and was near on true to the delivery of that and that was when there was the nightmare of the first WLTP issues. I have kept up with all the news with VW over the last 3 years with him. And when the Motability site was down this morning he rang me at 9 am to tell me the recent AP’s
I sat with him and watched him input the order on to the system and I was reading everything that was coming up.
Initially when we were talking about the car he said it would be November by the time it came and he got that information from a weekly update they get on lead times. It was not until we input the order on the system it came back with a late September delivery.
I can only go on what I have seen for myself today but you will get this with dealers. Yours could be saying December thinking it it comes in Sept, Oct or Nov its a bonus for you.
We will have to sit and see what happens lol
Might be worth joining this forum https://www.id3forums.co.uk/ as I find them useful for lead times etc
