Loving the car so far. Not getting the type of mileage you guys have been getting but I’m just driving normally and have some distance journeys. Guess it will improve with more round town driving.
On a tracking note, when we picked the car up the dealer said Hyundai are developing an app so you can track your order all the way through in the style of tesla
October 22, 2022 at 10:36 am in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #198765It’s a lovely colour isn’t it!
Unfortunately it doesn’t have quick release wheels and they’re a bit of a mare to get on and off. I’ve had to take all the under boot stuff out so that I can use the lower floor and then it just about fits but I have to try and angle it to shut the lid. I’ll get used to it, just a bit annoying.
October 22, 2022 at 10:04 am in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #198759We’ve finally got our car. Picked it up yesterday and love the drive. Boot will take some getting used to as the wheelchair doesn’t quite fit bit otherwise all great!
October 17, 2022 at 2:39 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #198442Indeed!
Now to find some mats, boot liner and a sling for the dog in the back seat. Exciting times
October 17, 2022 at 2:25 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #198439Guess what!?
We’ve finally got a date for collection. Friday at 9.30am! That’s only 10 half months since ordering…
They’ve also asked for AP to be paid by bank transfer preferably and to do that now… I think I’ll wait until I’ve seen the car first and I’ll pay on card then.
September 15, 2022 at 3:50 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #196310Orded the Ulimate kona electric in may, was told nov, now they saying it could be Feb2023 onwards.
We ordered ours 11th Jan. Expected delivery is mid October
August 9, 2022 at 5:00 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #193408Do we have any understanding as to why delivery times have been pushed out – early in the year it was chips – I thought Korea had sorted that – or are they being selective as to where they are used – I understand there is a new model being launched – any thoughts
?
I’m guessing because they’ve stopped the ioniq production and swapped them all to Konas. They’ve given them priority and not charged any difference in AP. So you could’ve ordered an ioniq after a kona customer but you’ll prob get it first… and cheaper
July 29, 2022 at 3:38 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #192169So to the lucky guys who’ve picked up their new cars a quick question. Have you charged to 100% yet and if you did what range was showing when you unplugged?
Hi Xz130 – I charged it yesterday afternoon using the OHME app – wanted to check out what would work best between that and Bluelink. – when I checked result in the car – 311 in comfort mode – 284 in comfort mode with a/c and ventilated seats on – I didn’t check in eco or eco+
so my car won’t charge past 253 miles and that’s on both AC or DC and fast or slow chargers. I’m waiting to hear back from Hyundai.
I wouldn’t worry too much about that just yet. The range displayed is just an estimate based on what it knows and it hasn’t learned your driving style, typical usage etc yet so it’ll be on the more Conservative side.
July 14, 2022 at 1:50 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #190756Has anyone else got a date of 02 September for there kona ultimate electric to land at tilbury ?

July 7, 2022 at 5:39 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #190147Did you buy the mats direct from Hyundai? Keen to get a good set
July 6, 2022 at 8:14 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #190096Just got this back from Hyundai…
The vehicle is due to dock on 02/09/22. Then it will need two weeks prep before it will be delivered into the dealership. You should get the vehicle during mid October 2022.
Not sure why our dealer couldn’t just tell us that instead of all the rubbish they’ve fed us so far
July 5, 2022 at 2:08 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #189998Does anybody know how to contact hyundai service people to get an update from them? Is there an email or anything? Thank you
July 1, 2022 at 11:59 am in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #189699We’ve just had motability contact Hyundai who then called us back with a serious attitude problem. Apparently all the information they have reactively told us is incorrect. Hyundai haven’t updated their system since April and that it has a status of “factory” which we assume means they’ve received an order and that is it. Simply put, this means the dealer has just been feeding us rubbish to fob us off. We’ve now got the supplier reference so we can go that route but when we called Hyundai they said, speak to your dealer, they have all the info you need…
Quite frankly, we’re considering cancelling the order but we’re in a predicament because all the APs are getting ridiculous now, so we’d pay more for even less when that was already the case in the first place. This whole experience is putting us off Evans Halshaw, Hyundai and Motability but we’re stuck. We can’t afford to just pop out and pay for a new car. Aaargh
July 1, 2022 at 11:10 am in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #189686We’ve just been on to our dealer and circus clowns would be an insult yo circus clowns. They haven’t got a scooby what they’re doing. Apparently our car is showing as “factory” but hasn’t been built yet despite over 2 months ago being told it was “in production”. We were also told car should be on yesterday’s ship but obvs not. Now he days it might be the 3rd July or 15th July that it goes on a ship but how if its not been built yet.
When asked for actual concrete information instead of his guesswork and misinformation the response was… cancel and order somewhere else because we’re not getting any money at the moment from these.
June 30, 2022 at 5:14 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #189613For the record I ordered Ultimate light grey interior misty jungle at the end of October. I sincerely hope you and others get your cars sooner rather than later.
We ordered misty jungle, although it was called jungle green I think when we did it because they changed the names, dark interior, ultimate. We’ll see what happens, our dealer is a waste of time in getting proactive information out of and they don’t rate this forum for info!
I’ve been watching this on here since it started. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with your car when you get it
June 30, 2022 at 3:14 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #189586I have just received my VIN – whoop – whoop – with a predicted collection – shortly after 18th July – hopefully – many more of you will be getting similar messages
Excellent news. Let the excitement begin! You ordered in October right? So my order from Jan 11th should be on schedule for Sept based on that.
