I was asked to pay £25 for a first charge when I collected my Enyaq Coupe from Lookers Stockport. No complaint really -it is a cost to them and that figure is probably cheaper than I would have paid at a DC charger nearby.

As to the Enyaq, see my post on the Everything Enyaq thread – you may want to look out for stock cars that you can get into now rather than wait.

For anyone contemplating an Enyaq but put off by the wait times, I have just collected a cancelled order Enyaq Coupe 85x Sportline that I located on the Skoda stock checker. I managed to go from initial appointment to collection in about 3 weeks, and it was only as long as that due to an adaptation needing to be fitted for me, or else it would have been quicker still. My advice would be if you see one on the stock checker, contact the dealer immediately.

Early days, but loving the car so far.

I think, and certainly hope, that it is “or” on Octopus Intelligent, because during the eligibility check, if you select a car and a charger that are not compatible then it won’t let you proceed, but if, as I did, you choose a charger that is not compatible (I have Hypervolt) and a car that is (I await an Enyaq) then you are allowed to sign-up.

I would definitely clear any post-manufacture additions with Motability and Direct Line before you go ahead. You will need their permission to make changes which take it outside a factory spec. Adding packs is fine if during the build, but picking and choosing bits afterwards is probably going to be problematic, if the experiences of others on here are anything to go by.

The event I’ve signed up to is at an Arnold Clark Innovation Centre so I suspect it will be quite similar to the video. Thanks Kezo.

Fastbike – I agree. Knowing which cars are there to test would be useful but the website doesn’t say and won’t specify, just saying it’s about the experience of trying an EV rather than a particular make of car.

Yes. Signed up for one in early-May. All a bit vague about what is going to be there, but it’s local to me so I thought I would give it a go.

The coasting link is interesting. I have Tucson PHEV and have never had the PPF issue (famous last words) but I use Apple CarPlay instead of the in-car sat nav, so coasting never kicks in.

Yep. Not going to post the Q1 link here to avoid confusion, but M Sport started at £5499 last quarter.

The IX1 prices certainly look £250 cheaper than last quarter (you can still see Q1 prices on BMW’s site). Every reduction is welcome, but would have hoped for a little more than that if it was going to persuade me to go for an xDrive at £6249!

                          Thanks Dave.

That suggests a possible reduction on the Enyaq. That site says the coupe starts from £1499, which is £500 less than now…

I think you’re right. I’m likely to move from a Tucson PHEV to a full EV next time and the Q4/Enyaq/ID4 or 5 are all under consideration (as would be the Cupra Tavascan if it ever makes an appearance). I need 4wd though, so it is only in Quarter 2 that the ID4 finally comes into view because the 4wd ID4 has been absent from the scheme until now. The 4wd ID5 is still not there, but I wish it was.

I’d consider an IX1 if the AP comes down, or an IX2 if it comes on at a reasonable price, but I suspect they might remain out of reach.

I think our messages crossed. No worries – thanks for checking – just didn’t want anyone thinking they need to rush out and commit today when it might (fingers crossed) even come down next week…

I’ll look forward to the new prices! Thanks for your input.

The sport is a trim level on both the SUV and the Sportback though. I don’t have the ability to screenshot where I am now, but I have checked and the Motability code numbers tie up with the 3 Sportback models on the Motability website I think.

I might be missing something, but aren’t those prices the same as currently? Certainly the Q4 Sportback ones look to be? Those screenshots all look to be the Sportback, when you compare the reference numbers to the ones on the Motability site.

I can recommend the 4wd Tucson PHEV in ultimate trim. I have one. Very much an upgrade on past Hyundai models and excellent ICE system. I came from a Mercedes to that and whilst it doesn’t quite have the premium feel of Merc/BMW, it is certainly a very nice place to be.

As Kezo says, also look at the Sportage – very similar car underneath and similar same user interface on the ICE, bar different fonts, as far as I can tell.

I’m happy to answer any queries you have on the Tucson.

I’m interested in the Q4 45 Sport Quattro, either Sportback or standard shape. Any chance of stock appearing on those? If not, how long are factory orders taking currently?

Does anyone have any info on build times for Q4 or Q4 Sportback please? On chat via the Audi website, they have told me 40 weeks, subject to what specification I require. Seems a long time even by current standards!

I can’t comment on the space for a wheelchair as I don’t have one, but the Tucson PHEV in Ultimate trim that I have is a very nice drive and upmarket place to be compared with older Hyundais. The Kia Sportage shares the same mechanicals as the Tucson, so I imagine is very similar but I haven’t driven it.

I thought it was well established now that factory fitted options are covered by insurance, but after-market ones are not?

I have an outstanding GLA order, lodged in August, that is awaiting the dealership to have an allocation before building can start. I spoke with the dealer on Monday and my order is unaffected by Mercedes’ withdrawal. However, now looking into next year for the car to arrive due to the ongoing supply issues – there is no definite timescale.

I ordered a GLA today and was told, pessimistically, December/Christmas. Have been pushing existing customers back for the same reasons as you all know, but they are hoping for allocation for builds soon.
