Some pictures of my car at the dealership, sorry they’re not the best but I was having a bed day with my leg. Ill post some better picks next Friday

@Mm7, the amount on your Motability account doesn’t show additional paid options, so it’s correct.
Good to see the time line was useful.
I went ro see my car today to check out the seats as I was told on my test drive that they would be the same as the ones in the car I test drove and have a seat base that you could change the angle off, bit unfortunately you can’t! I still found them to be OK for me after half an hour in the car.
@Edd that’s rubbish, what if you were going on holiday for a week or you were in hospital. Mention to them the fact that they told you the car would be delivered in November, so as it’s 3 months late it’s the least they can do. I know some people will say the reg makes no difference to you as you don’t own the car, but if it’s what you want then push for it. I’d be annoyed if they register the car on the 27th February on a 73 plate and you had to wait until after the 1st to collect.
Sorry @Mm7, to answer your question it was 22 days from the car entering the body shop to arriving at the dealership
@Mm7 I hope this helps. I’ve looked back through my BMW genius transcripts and these are all the important dates-
24/07/23 – Placed order with dealership
03/08/23 – Car ordered by dealership- Status 047 – order without available DLR quota
28/09/23 – Status 111 – Capacity checked, estimated to begin production week starting 22/01/24
15/12/23 – Status 112 – Factory received order, build week 4 – 28/01/24 expected delivery week 8 – 19/01/24
11/01/24 – Status 150 – Order scheduled for body shop – Called dealership for VIN number
23/01/24 – Status 151 – Entered body shop
25/01/24 – Status 155 – Assembly finished/Quality check
25/01/24 – Same day! – Status 190 – Dispatched from AG – Delivery week 8 – February 18/24
29/01/24 – Status 193 – Arrival at Port or compound – Estimated delivery week commencing 12/02/24
14/02/24 – Car delivered to dealership
01/03/24 – Collect car – The dealership were very busy and said the car would be ready for collection on Monday 26th February so I said I’d wait until Friday and have it on a 24 plate as 24 is my lucky number.
It would be great if everyone who’s collected their car could let us all know how they’re getting on. How’s the car, is it comfortable? What’s the real range like? ect, ect
Any news and reviews would be much appreciated and very helpful. Thanks in advance
I pick mine up on the 1st March, I’ll post pictures soon after
This was an interesting read –
My 2 weeks ownership review of the BMW i4 eDrive35
byu/cookingboy inelectricvehicles@Candy1 if the dealership have placed your order then they will have an order number which you can use to track your build through online chat with BMWgenius. I find it strange for them to say “We don’t have order numbers as everything is currently at a scheduled stage once confirmed we should be able to issue the order number.” as when your order is initially placed and you go on genius the status of the car will show as – The current order status is 047 – order without available dlr quota. So even though the car has no build slot it shows it shows as being accepted by BMW. My dealership gave me an order number 2 days after I ordered the car.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Hi @pauld, how are you getting on with i4, an update would be great fully appreciated.

Thanks Masky. This is exactly the type of real life information that is more helpful than an review online. It would be great if others could share this type of info on real life range and charging issues. The tip about downloading all the charging apps is a great one, I’ll start downloading them now. It’s good to see you’re enjoying your new car.
I got nowhere with europcar, couldn’t get through to the garage that delivered the original car and they haven’t called me back. I managed to get hold of the garage at the airport but they had nothing available, when I called and they knew it was a Motability customer the girl on the phone had to go and as their Motability expert what was available!! So that was a swift no. I called Motability and direct line said it was down to europcar and the terms and conditions don’t guarantee a suitable car! I’m sure if I was a private customer and they gave me a car that was faulty and assault me they would be falling over themselves to help and a suitable replacement car would have bean found within the day.
It Grey and in the northwest, so a different car but a 21 plate with 60000 miles
Thanks Kezo, I’ll call them first thing
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Hi Kezo I’ll call them again in the morning, but I don’t hold out to much hope as they asked me if I needed the car today and I said I could do without it for today but had to have it sorted for Tuesday morning as I need the car. Motability responded by saying that if it wasn’t sorted they’d provide me with a taxi account, however I don’t fancy doing a 130 mile round trip in a taxi!

Oh my God Friday not Monday, I really am loosing the plot!!!
Sorry the car went in on Monday, I’m having a bad day!!!
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Edd, I went to 150 on 11th Jan then 151 -enter body shop” on 23rd, followed by 155 “assembly final/quality check” and 190 “dispatched from AG” on he same day 25th Jan so two weeks from first going 150. I’ve been told my car will be delivered week 8 and that it will be on a 24 plate. Ho0e this helps

My PIP award was due to run out In September 2023, I received my renewal forms in December 2022 and sent them back the same month. My PIP was extended by a year around 6 weeks before it was due to end, so I was able to order a new car at the end of July, six weeks later than I would have been able to order my new car, but I didn’t have a year of my PIP award left at reorder time! I think they may have changed it now so if you’re due to order a new car and are waiting for a revue then you can order at three month, but I’m not certain about this.
So renewal forms 9 months before end, 1 year extension 6 weeks before end and I was eventually awarded PIP in December, 3 months after my claim was due to end and 1 year after sending back my renewal forms. I had an over the phone assessment at the end of November. The one good thing I can take from it is my award is now for an ongoing period, which apparently means I’m good for 10 years.
I’ve just been on live chat with BMW and my build went into 150 today, with an expected delivery of week 8 so when you allow the 5 days the dealership has to have the car for I should be perfect for the 1st March collection date. I know it makes no difference to me whether its a 73 or 24 plate, but 24 is my lucky number. I’ve just called my dealership and they gave me the VIN number.
I ordered in July and on my order it said delivery November, but the car isn’t being built until week 4 (22nd Jan) It turned out the dealership had no build slots until August so I’d take what the dealership say with a pinch of salt and would only go by what BMW Genius say.
@JohnK I’ve stuck with the sport. Unlike most I think the mineral white with the blue details looks great and think the kidney “grill” looks better on the sport than the Msport, plus I have a build week 4 so 22nd Jan and I don’t want my spot to change. Charger is being fitted next week. Also because I ordered when the ap was £5000 I would be paying £1500 more for the Msport which means I’d be covering the full difference in retail cost as it £1500 more than the sport which doesn’t sit well.
I’ve taken waiting over 5 months and can’t wait to get behind the wheel. I hope the wait for everyone goes quickly
