I had this happen to me on my Sportage, but in my case I’d accidently hit the button while cleaning and never noticed till I drove the next time. Just pressed the button and it activated again and has not deactivated since. If yours is not activating then a visit to the dealers would be advised, Robert.
Must be honest, I didn’t expect the repair to be this quick, even the assessor said he didn’t think they’d get the door delivered till the new year. But really pleased to have her back and out of the Qashqai!!
I think what KIA have tried to do with the face lift is bring the look to be more in line with the new Sorento, to make more similar to the whole KIA range. The new frontage is not bad, but I do prefer the boomerang look, which is what drew me to take a look at the Sportage in the first place. I’m touching wood now, but in the five months I’ve had it I’ve had no issues and it still feels like getting into a new car everyday.
I’m surprised that they didn’t give the face lift full length rear lighting which is on the Tucson, but they have replaced the piano black on the interior which is a good move.
It will be interesting to see what version we will get in Europe when it comes out here, so far only the Korea build has been seen.
Picked up a Sportage GTLS HEV back in June and although it’s not long the Sportage has greatly impressed me. The ride comfort and tech are a big improvement on my old Tarraco FR Sport. The HEV MPG is a revelation, I’m currently averaging 51 MPG, a figure I thought I’d never see again since handing my diesel Vauxhall Insignia tourer!!
Test drove the Volvo which was okay, the ride was a little harder and you would not get anywhere near the tech without paying a fortune for the extra packs. Plus the boot on the Sportage was much bigger.
We both liked the shape of the Sportage over the other vehicles we looked at, but looks are subjective, I know. Good luck with you search.
Yes, it does, as its a different variant with more specifications hence the difference in AP. You would have to get the dealer to change the order and pay the AP for the better specified model.
I did this a few years ago when I ordered the Seat Tarraco Excellence Lux then changed it to the FR Sport model and paid the extra AP.
Hello sportage kids , yes i have FHEV i didnt want plug in ,i have mobility problems cant keep plugging in , i have wonderfull ex para mate that act as carerer ,he fills car uo etc and i bung him few quid now & again ,know him since kids ,other mate helps but is working man. My car glides great at present hope stays like that ,enjoy yoir phev sportage i bet you love it ,what colour Tosher.
Cheers Micky. I’ve gone for the green with the black roof. I think the black roof looks good with the panoramic sunroof
Great choice, Tosher. Picked up back in June and been totally faultless. Still grinning like an idiot!!

It seems lots of manufacturers are now charging for up dates and other in car services. Looking at the update, there does seem too much in for GEN5W unit, most of it is for their EV vehicles with ccNC head units.
You’re probably best to wait for the next service, by then they’ll be a new update.
Hope you’re still enjoying your Sportage as much as I am…
@mickyarmy, the latest Nav update is now out to download and install.
The other guide is a download link on the KIA owners forum so I’ve linked the page for you. The link you want is post number 10 by aerofly. It’s a quick guide to the infotainment system. 12.8 MB is the size you’re after.

Sorry about that, Micky. Can’t seem to get PDF’s to work on the forum. I’ll figure another way and try again.
Due to it being hybrid the boot is smaller than the ICE only sportage
Hi Kezo, the boot capacity of the HEV is bigger than the ICE, the hybrid battery is under the rear seats and not in the boot. When I research the Sportage before ordering the boot size was important for me and I remember thinking how surprised I was to find it the opposite to what I thought it would be. KIA quote, ICE, 562/1751, HEV, 587/1776, and PHEV, 540/1715. Not sure how those figure’s equate to the Tucson though.
Bloody great news @mickyarmy. Hope you read my one month review, you are going to love it, and as the Yanks say, “You can take that to the bank”.
Don’t forget the pictures, mate LOL!!!!

Hello, I see utube videos of 2024 kia sprortage awd suv with black coated wheels like gts fhev but black, which model has these wheels PHEV , ??? Uk european spec.
The wheels you are thinking of have been powder coated by the owner on the owners forum which is what I was going to have done. Was quoted £280 + VAT, I didn’t think that was to bad. The only Youtube videos I’ve seen with the black HEV wheels was the grey 30th edition which is not available in the UK.
update from my dealer ordered 13th march car has arrived at dealer. Dealer asked to pick up on the 26th but im on holiday that week so pick up on the 1st july. cant wait
Nice one, bigmac, glad you didn’t have to wait too long. You are going to love it, without doubt!
Welldone tvs. Markymate your car does look great.
Cheers, Micky. I don’t what Autoglym put in the stuff, but the dust and grime seems to just bounce of it, as 5 days later the car is still gleaming like I’d just finished applying it!!!
Any time now, Micky, and you’ll be getting the call to arrange pick up. Nearly 3 weeks in and the silly grin is still there. Especially as I’ve now ceramic coated the car, what a huge difference, it just doesn’t stop gleaming. Mind you, it nearly killed me doing it, but so worthwhile.

Hope you get the call soon.
Now I’m told my25 kia sportage gts does not have accustic glass, yet other brands do , I understand 30th addition korea had it, anyone know why it’s not included ,is it that hev is quiet anyway ?.
Two weeks in my Sportage HEV, Micky, And I have to say it’s as quiet as a nunnery at midnight!! While I agree with @kezo regarding the attributes of acoustic glass, the Sportage is still a quiet and comfortable drive. We will just have to wait another 3 years to compare!!
Drive sensibly it’s no different to any mainstream car, it’s only when the engine is called for at higher rev’s they becomes quite vocal. Hyundai also improved the sound insulation around the wheels arches and firewall, which I believe Kia has also done (read somewhere) on the 25 Sportage. Acoustic glass has just added an extra layer of hush, however unlike EV’s its only the windscreen a front passengers side windows that are acoustic. What is good on these cars is, you won’t be wanting for additional factory options seen with other brands, as everthing is included, including @rse cooler’s, which if you have never had them are a god send in warm weather.
Oh my lord, the @rse cooler’s, where have they been all my life!!! I love the KIA just for that…

It’s landed, @mickyarmy. Only a week or so to go now mate and you’ll be a proud new owner of the Sportage. And believe my, after one week of owning one, you’re going to absolutely love it!!!

Hi those of you that have got your sportages ,especially gts fhev ,can I ask did it have Bluetooth android connection ,& has it ambient lighting on air vent in front of front passenger ?? ,wondered if my25 model had it.
Yes on the Bluetooth android, mine connect straight away with no problem. On the ambient lighting, you can choose every colour of the rainbow, but not sure if the vents light up as I haven’t been out in the dark yet!!!
One thing I have just down, is the remote parking gadget. It’s a bit scary standing out your car while you remote control backwards and forwards. Bloody good fun though!!!
That’s fantastic new, Micky. Get on marinetraffic.com and follow your car across the North sea on the ferry from Cuxhaven to Immingham.
Here’s the schedule

Brilliant news, mate. No long now Micky, roughly 4 weeks. You’ll love it, still getting used to mine, but it’s only 5 days in.
