On Monday 9th of December whilst in the newsagents I watched as a driver reversed into my Sportage. In a panic I rushed out(well as fast as I can) to get the number plate thinking they would drive off, but I need not have bothered as the driver was pulling over and waited till I got to my car, which I was very grateful for. She was very apologetic and we exchanged details. The damage was to the drivers door, so it was driveable.
Got home and went on DL Motability claim webpage and filled out the details. Within 30 minutes I had 3 calls, DL, DLG repair centre, and Enterprise. The damage was assessed that afternoon and a new door was ordered. Got a call Wednesday the 11th to say the door was in and would pick the car up the next day. Called enterprise and they said they would drop off the hire car, like for like vehicle after mine had been picked up. On the 12th everything went to plan. Enterprise brought a Nissan QashQai, so was okay with that.
Yesterday, got a call from DLG to say my car was ready for me to pick up, so at 1.30pm I dropped the hire car at DLG and drove home in my shinny repaired Sportage.
I know not everyone has such a great experience with Directline, but I couldn’t find a fault through the whole process. From having the accident on the 9th, and getting my car repaired and returned on the 17th I think is bloody good going.
So it’s a huge thank you to DL, DLG and Enterprise for making an old man very happy.
