@Markymate unfortunately I don’t drive but will have to figure everything out for the wife.
You’ll still enjoy the experience. Tell her some of the bings and bongs have to be turned of every time she starts the engine, EU laws, you can tell they never have to drive themselves LOL!!!
I’ve just picked up a nice Blue GT Line. Handover process very quick and easy. I won’t post loads of pics as there’s plenty out there.

Looking very nice, blue was our first option till we saw the green in the flesh. If your like me, you’ll be in the driver seat with the manual on your lap for hours, just pushing buttons!!!
After picking up yesterday afternoon, we had a fair drive around with a mixture of town, motorway, and country roads, plus bit more of each this morning, and the car is telling me I’ve been getting 51.4 MPG. Happy Hybrid figure!! Getting the seating position perfect was easy with the 10 way electric seat, all the bings and bongs have now been switch off, or down. I’ve got some serious manual ready to do but things seem to be quite intuitive from my point of view. Like always, driving a new car for the first few days can take some time to feel comfortable, but this is a seriously nice car.
Handover was brilliant, Clint Louis has been fantastic throughout from order to pick up. It was really refreshing, the wife even baked him a slab of millionaire short bread. The only downside was he was on holiday last week, and despite me taking in the retention document, and the number plates, the dealership still managed to not register the car with my number!! Be on to Motability and have now transferred the number, so will swap them over later.

Nice car. As mentioned the colour is great. The wheels look ok but would look better in black which you considered on the bought ones.
@des, we are still considering getting them powder coat gloss black, but to be honest, they look darker than when we saw them on the showroom model back in January, might have been the lighting in the showroom.
@kezo Cheers mate.-

@Markymate looks very nice, I do really like the green. It has a certain Hulk vibe to it. I think it suits it well, especially with the black roof. One thing that I liked about the Sportage was the colour selection had something other then black, grey and white. Have you seen the yellow you can get?
Yes, I’ve seen the lemon splash colour, and like the fusion orange, KIA no longer do those colours, would definitely have gone for the orange!! But the green and black roof combo looks very smart.
Picked the Sportage yesterday. and it’s just as nice to drive as I remembered from the test drive back in January. Here’s a couple of photos the wife took after a drive around the countryside and stopping for an early evening meal out. Will take some more today and post later along with our experience of the handover and first thoughts on the car

Was going to get the HEV wheels powdered coat gloss black, but thought these were much better, and I can take them off when the car goes back!
Don’t forget to inform Mobility and their insurance company prior to going ahead it’s classed as a modification.
Thanks @Oscarmax, you just save me a tidy sum. Motability refused permission to change the wheels, due in their terms to Directline insurance and vehicle warranty. So wheels are going back FOC due to being within the 14 day period. The company were brilliant.
3pm pick up today, really love a handover day!!

Cheers, @kezo. It’s been a while since the test drive, but looking forward to driving it again.
I’ve brought the wheels from Wheelbase who have been excellent with all there advice. So these are a proper fit for the Sportage HEV 18″ wheels, which I’ll be swapping the tyres on to.

There’s a few different sportage models, as we all know ,gt line s has smarter wheels 18″ I think , the gt lines do look alike , ,no big deal I suppose.
GT Line S HEV wheels are totally pants in my opinion, they are the only let down on a great car, that’s why mine are coming off after I pick up on Monday!!
I got the phone call from my dealer this morning, my Sportage GT Line Mhev manual in blue flame is ready for collection on Tuesday. I ordered on the 19th January.
That’s brilliant new, NY1. Pick mine up on Monday. Have a great day on Tuesday.
Back from the dealers, car arrived this morning, everything in order so stumped up the AP and pick up on Monday, 3pm.
Only five more sleeps till the mean green lean hybrid machine is here!!
I have been waiting for the KIA Sportage MY25 since since mid January apparently it was pushed back too June because they wanted all motability costumers to have the latest spec. Anyway I had a call this morning saying baring any last minute hitches my Kia Sportage 1.6 GT S Phev AWD will be here on the 10th June. Can’t wait to Drive it.
Ordered the 12th of January and waiting on confirmation for pick up on Monday. Not to many sleeps now!!
As some of you have said, I’ve now arranged with my normal dealer to inspect the car when it arrives and if all’s good I’ll pay then. The PDI will already have been done at Stallingborough before transporting to the dealership, so that shouldn’t be a problem. Don’t think they are too happy, but tough luck.
So you’ve got only roughly 28 to 34 days till you’ll be picking up. Not long now, that’s pretty quick for a March order. Looks like I’ll be picking up June the 3rd.
That’s great news Micky, is it in production queue, or ready for production?
At least you got an email through KIA MyOrder app, I never received a single one!!
All the reviews, either written or video spoke very highly of the Sportage, without any complaints. Even two or three reviewers ordered the car themselves. That’s what convinced me to look into the Sportage when I’d extended the Tarraco for 2 extra years. I did as much research as I could find, going not just on UK websites, but many other countries including Australia, South Africa and the USA. And like all car manufacturers, they was problems, but once you take into account the volume of Sportages sold since 2022 the percentage of defects is no better, or worse than any other car producer. Edmunds, which is the most renowned car reviewer in the USA, 5 days ago that the Sportage was there choice of best all round SUV, not small, medium or large, but all, the best SUV of 2024 for the second year running. Cars are what they are, just like humans, you’ll get the odd one or two wrong un’s in every batch!!
Now, my last five motors have been trouble free, and I don’t about odds, but I’m probably due a wrong un sooner rather than later:(
Just been into the dealership today to give them my number plate retention certificate, My dealer said he had good news, my Sportage is at Stallingborough(KIA facility at Immingham) and will be delivered next week. They have 3 deliveries schedule and won’t know which one till it arrives. Happy days!!!
So although I’d registered for MyOrder notifications I never received a single one. Between me and the dealer, we think baulk of orders and trying to keep up with all the builds.
Ordered the 12th of January so will be within the 22 weeks he said it would be.

I think there was a spate of pully’s going, probably a bad batch as I’ve have not seen any other reports of this for a while now. As to the long wait times for repairs, KIA, like most other popular car manufacturer’s don’t keep a stock of spare parts on shelves, so everything is on back order. KIA do have a history of copping a deaf un when consistent problems arise, but probably no more than the others.
@Markymate quite envious of the green, couldn’t get green myself as mine is just a GT Line Mhev manual. It was all I needed and it was a bargin at £695. It’s £1k more this quarter.
It certainly wasn’t our first choice, or third for that matter. But when we went to arrange the test drive the GT-Line S hybrid was in the showroom in experience green with the black roof, now i know how the lighting is done in showrooms, but wow, even my wife who dislikes the colour green was taken aback. No argument after that!!
We originally went for the GT-Line, but decided to push our savings a bit further. Both cars a pretty well speced, I’m sure we’ll both enjoy them when they arrive.
That’s good news @NewYork1. It seems that a few January orders are coming through now, although the KIA MyOrder messaging doesn’t appear to be working, as cars are turning up at dealerships without any notifications. Sadly no news on mine yet, it seems that the green with the black roof is quite a popular colour LOL!!!
Enjoy the Sportage when it arrives
Just called the dealer and changed my order to a white one LOL!!!

Glad you finally got it, Stuart. Enjoy in now after the long slow boat from Korea!!
Markymate it is big sunroof yes with roller blind, love it, I hope my 25 does have Bluetooth connection for android spotify, has been wire connection.
Sadly not, still wired AA and Apple carplay on all Sportages except the base model 2.
so
Mate, when you say your dealer has said delivery June/July When did you actually order it ?? I ordered mine in blue, GT line S in January still a no show and still no information from my dealer as to when. Cheers in advance
I ordered mine on the 12th of January, and the dealer said 16-18 weeks. Fortunately he’s a great salesman and has kept me up to date. Contacted me a couple of weeks ago to say we are looking at 22 weeks, due to minor production change over, i.e. bhp dropping from 226 down to 212. MY25 models are now coming into the country so will be receiving MyOrder app email saying car is in the queue for production, any time in the next 2 weeks or so. One of the advantages of being with Motability is I still have a nice car while I’m waiting. If comes in June or July I’ll be able to test out the sunroof, mind you, knowing the British weather that might be a problem LOL!!!
