O course am assuming, given limited information. But you cant add in more info and and then berate the respondent. That says more about you than anything else.
You think I was berating you? That says more about you than anything else.

You’re assuming too much, I was standing right beside them and they were looking as well.

But there is no crime and this isn’t the police.
We asked them a while ago to help track a missing child and they said they couldn’t do that, this isn’t TV
January 14, 2026 at 6:30 pm in reply to: revisiting options renault symbioz, cupra formentor ,nissan quashqai #332245anyway as an alternative as i do like the mini. the petrol 1.5c classic 327 ap 86/wk and 47mpg. has no hud no wireless charging no heated seats but has heated steering wheel go figure has no darkened windows bbut can have light seats.
for £677 ap and £86/wk you can get the MINI Countryman 230kW SE Classic ALL4 66kWh 5dr Auto with 309bhp and 0-60 in about 5.6s, you don’t need heated seats just spare pants lol
Lol yep I’m in my 50’s and remember them well, the back windows only opened about an inch
These are so much bigger and the boot in this one seems decent, it also has heated electric seats and a hud, might be worth having a look, not sure where you are but the dealership in Boldon are really good in the North East, I’m hoping it stays this price until the end of the year
Just wondering if you’d considered the MINI Countryman Monochrome, currently £0 AP

August 11, 2025 at 5:08 pm in reply to: Is an electric vehicle an realistic option with out home charger #311114We can’t get a charger fitted either and would’ve sent the car back by now but we got an extension cable and weatherproof box and granny charging seems to be working, it just sits there most of the time anyway.
It still takes over 3 hours to charge using a ‘fast’ charger, 72.8kWh battery and max speed 50kW CHAdeMO connector, not many of those near me, the closest is always full of DPD vans, some there for several hours and the next closest just had all it’s cables nicked, which is the one we used to use, I used to get a lift back home and leave it there, sometimes the charging would get interrupted and I’d need another lift to go start it again…
Say no to CHAdeMO
It might be worth noting for the future that they only have 14 days to send you the PCN, any later and they can’t hold the keeper liable (unless they say “yes it was me”)
So why would an MP even start a petition on change.org??
Petition created on 27 March 2025

TAX WEALTH – DON’T CUT DISABILITY SUPPORTRichard Burgon MP
Petition StarterSurely he knows where his voice would be heard, is this just more smoke and mirrors? Why wouldn’t he want to force a debate in parliament? Is he doing “everything he can” knowing he’s doing nothing? (politics 101)

March 31, 2025 at 10:32 pm in reply to: What’s best price anyone pays away from home to charge EV #300381assuming 3 miles per Kw
You will be hard-pressed to get 3 m/kWh. Do you spank it everywhere you go??
I’d love to get 3 m/kWh, currently only getting about 2.0 but I put it into Eco mode and reset it and it’s up to 2.1 m/kWh now…
It’s a Lexus UX300e Takumi, lovely to drive, effortless, it’s the first car I’ve had that makes me want to drive slowly, It’s like driving a Hamlet advert, plus it’s way too heavy to put your foot down, we can’t get a home charger so have to use public chargers at around 75p per kw, it takes around 3 hours to charge with a fast charger so have to get a lift to the nearest one that’s not full of DPD vans and leave it there, It’s CHAdeMO so options are limited.
It’s the best worst car we ever had lol

Thanks for that Ele 🙂 we haven’t got a home charger and managed to fully charge both our cars for free, according to the app we saved about 60 quid so a nice little Xmas bonus 😀

90% and 70 mile range lol
a long time ago we went to Sussex and back to the north east on a full tank of diesel in the winter in our Corsa 1.5D, slowest car I’ve ever seen but it ran forever
I charged my son’s mini upto 88% today – he had 70 miles range lol
Does anyone have any recommendations for a granny charger 3 pin that I can plug in whilst I wait for Ohme?
I’m looking at this one
Haven’t ordered it yet but it’s the best one I’ve found so far
Ah yes of course, I missed that first bit
You’d also miss out on the £750 NVP if you order after Jan 3rd
@LeeBee Did you manage to pick up your new car? I hope so I haven’t heard from Lexus yet
Yep picked it up on Wednesday and did about 20 miles and on Thursday it had a flat battery :/
the RAC came out today and swapped the battery over and it seems ok so far, just gotta set it all up again 🙁
bit disappointed in the ML sound system, the volume goes up to 60 but you can barely hear it below 20 and maxes out at a level still too low for my old ears, I was expecting a lot better from a 915w “Premium Surround Sound System” – the standard system in our old rav4 seems better and my sons mini blows it away with less than half the wattage
lovely to drive though, the steering is light and it feels really agile, only done 30 odd miles so its still early days, the voice commands have worked flawlessly so far
@LeeBe Congratulations, I hope the the car serves you well. What colour did you go for? I went for Sonic white, cream interior
Thanks, you too 🙂
We went with Graphite black and black interior
We also ordered a Lexus UX 300e Takumi pack 11 days ago and just had a call to say we can pick it up next week 😀
The power chair just fits in the boot, might get a towel in there as well if we unfold it lol
Our 5 years is up in Jan so we’ve been looking for a while, we’ve got a RAV4 atm which has been flawless but the AP has risen £5k since then…
The Takumi pack is an extra £5150 over the Premium+Pk/18Alloy (which has an AP of £3349) if we were to buy it outright so seems like a bargain to us at £995
We’ll never get the hoist in but rarely use it now and charging is going to be a pita but we don’t go far
We also considered the Kona N-Line S which was at the top of the list for a long time.
367l boot space (floor to tonneau cover)
Ah that’s why the Motability website says 486L – we’ve got a hoist atm so never use the cover, bit confusing though, thanks for clearing that up kezo 🙂
It’s not in their brochure or on their website…. cheapest on motability is £1495 Something is out of date here….
my thoughts exactly 😕
It’s also a horrific looking car.
It’s not bad in black, you picked a horrible colour lol
Range is poor too.
mainly short journeys, at the most a round tip of 100 miles
The Motability website says 486L but I haven’t seen a review that matches that yet 😕
We do need space for a power chair and hoist if we can so boot space is important
Is there any scooters about total weight around 15 kg that easy fold into car boot with out being in 4 sections etc ?
That’s odd because this is how my local council word their application form though its a little bit out of date because it still only mentions DLA but that’s councils for you but this is the first line of the form…. You automatically qualify if: you receive the higher rate mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance
On our local council website it also says
“In receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) with a score of exactly 10 points for the ‘Planning and Following a Journey’ section”
since both my sons had more than 10 points they were refused…
