We’ve had a few scooters on the scheme, the last one was a Monarch Mobi, which folded with a remote and attached to the hoist complete via a bracket that was fitted just before we picked up the car (RAV4), it worked really well and my wife had no problems using it by herself, but it cost us close to £3k for those 3 years we had it so last year we decided to buy our own and went with a powered wheelchair instead (https://mobilitypluswheelchairs.co.uk/products/mobilityplus-ultra-light-rangerxl) we paid about £895 with 2 batteries and it’s been great, my wife says it’s a lot more comfortable than a scooter, like sitting in a chair compared to riding a bike.
We haven’t got a bracket for it yet so haven’t used the hoist for it but we’re changing car soon so might be getting one then. I’ve had no problem lifting it into the car but it is quite heavy, my wife couldn’t do it, you could lighten it by removing the batteries first which would take seconds and it folds to the size of a suitcase.
I’m not sure which hoist we’ve got just that it was way more than we needed, the dealer quoted us the ‘hoist transfer’ price so when we picked the car up it was an extra £350 on top of what we were expecting, we’ve since seen some portable boot hoists that we’re considering which seem just as easy and take up less room.
If they do go with a fitted hoist they would need to check the car they get can have one fitted, some cars just can’t, my son’s Mini would be lucky to get a Gnome with a fishing rod lol
Like Vinnie said you don’t need the PIP letter for BB but of course it’s a pain without it as its a simple case of automatic qualification with PIP HR.
Not any more, both my kids have a car on the scheme but can’t get a blue badge, even though one of them has had one previously.
Still nothing taken from the payment in yesterday. 3 monthly payments so far.
You should phone them on Monday, they’re probably gonna want it all back as an overpayment and you’ll end up owing them thousands if it’s left too long
We had one fitted to my son’s Mini when he got it in December, cost about £475 iirc which seems extortionate but it cost £0 AP so he got £275 in his pocket, we just asked the sales guy to add it and he did, but when we asked Motability about adding one to our RAV4 that we’d had a while they said no, should’ve done it when you ordered the car…
Just had a quick look at match spec and it loses leather heated steering wheel, keyless entry, tri climate control which is rear passenger climate and match has 65% tint on rear glass! Style pro has 90% and match has no pano roof which we know. Match gains electric boot, no where is style spec it says about electric boot sorry
It still has the Leatherette-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, heated, with touch control and the Keyless entry and starting

Or maybe they just have 10 employees with 3 years experience each
