Car collected and it feels really good. Solid and sturdy, lots to learn about controls and various bits but very nice. So pleased this pantomime is now over!
Sorry you didn’t like it but I’m looking forward to collecting mine even though it’s not the version I ordered or wanted, I just want an end to the wait! I like tiguans too but I don’t like the price! 🤣
I’ve managed to book into K F for the same day we are collecting the car and have pushed the collection time to later. Fingers crossed it all works out!
Thank you. I feared as much! So close and now another delay! 🫣
Update! My car is at the dealership and at long last I will collect it next week!
Down date.. my calendar has just notified me my MOT is due at the end of this month and for the life of me I can’t decipher what the motability site means about handover and mots and extended leases, now I’m worried! Do I need to get one before returning it or not?! Please! Anyone know for certain? Thank you.Hi, personally I would order now if it’s a firm favourite and THEN see what happens or you may find yourself paying so much more if there’s nothing else in the new list you like.
Ah okay thank you. Glad you have the right colour car!! Hope I do too after all this time!
Hi, Did the vin number work? I’ve asked for mine as my car is now in the UK and been told it won’t work until I have the car? If it worked what did it show you please?
I’ve just received an update on my order. Apparently it should arrive with the dealer within in a week or two.
I’m so pleased for you and totally amazed when car orders placed January and February still appear to be on the ‘being made’ list, including mine. Where in the country are you please? Some areas seem to have had better availability than others, maybe down to transporters or some other reason? But then again, that wouldn’t count for the build dates we are being given. I’m so thankful we have our car to use whilst waiting but I hate bad customer service and never expected it from Volvo.
Congratulations! I’m so amazed they didn’t contact you, that’s dreadful but pleased you love the car. That’s the same colour I have ordered too. Have you got a MY24 or MY25 model?
with meet and greet where they drive your car to a parking space such as when you go to the airport the person taking your car to the parking space and returning it to you won’t be a named driver though?
Today I received an email from my dealership! My car is built and making its way from the factory to UK and should be arriving early July, ready for collection some time from mid to end July . I asked for confirmation that it is a MY24 as reassured previously it was and received the reply that it isn’t. If I hadn’t asked I would have still been expecting to collect a MY24 even though I have asked for version confirmation twice before and reassured it was a MY24 as ordered. I’ve been given a list of the good points and one bad point. Surely the good points are only good if you want them and the bad point is bad if it’s something you didn’t want / need?! I feel this situation is really proving how the fact that mobility vehicles for people with health conditions that have specific requirements for reasons other than fashion or comfort is completely lost at most dealerships. In a dilemma now re what to do. In addition to the loss of the camera I hate black interiors, life is hard enough health wise without having a dark and gloomy car interior, another reason why I liked the Volvo when it was a lighter interior and wasn’t part microfibre.
Grumble over. Feeling fed up rather than excited ☹️Good evening!
I received a reply to my enquiry again saying it’s showing on the Volvo system as arriving at the Volvo dealership end of June to early July.Hello and welcome to the most frustrating thread on the board! 🤣
Do you mean two people ahead of you at your dealership? Surely it’ll depend on what colour and spec they’ve chosen? If they ordered black and a blue one comes along it won’t be assigned to one of them just because they’re ahead of you?! It seems to be much more of a lottery according to this thread than whose name is first on the list! I hope yours turns up soon!
May 26, 2024 at 3:12 am in reply to: Facelifted Tucson Now on Motability – Better choice and no AP increase #278416We test drove the H T when we were looking for a car and really liked it, now with the Volvo fiascos I wish we had ordered one then but looking at the A P prices for an automatic now I sadly can’t justify spending that and swapping my order now. Shame.
I really hope I don’t get the black seats, they were a no for me. Golden retriever and black seats 🫣
Ordered mid January now told expected May build and depending when in May, May have it June. I’m not expecting it just as I’m not expecting a MY24 despite my dealership saying that’s what I’m getting. Maybe, but can’t see how if the factory was retooled. Still hoping to be surprised and agree, am sure non MB customers don’t get the same treatment from Volvo. It all started so well and look now!!
Actually I recall it was the same with my previous car, a Ford kuga, a third party was used for tinted windows, I’m sure that was what they said or am I dreaming it!
White. I always have white cars! I like to be seen clearly by other drivers! I’m a worry wort!
The camera was one of the important factors for me so I would really like to know which version is being built for my car. I understand my dealership can only go on what they’ve been told but I’m doubtful they’ve been updated on the latest facts. Just hope I’m wrong.
I have asked the question about my May build and MY24 v MY25 today and the reply was that my car was confirmed as MY24 and will arrive as ordered!
So I’m confused about the retooling, is that 100% correct? If so then I’m not sure how the MY24 build can happen? Any further info on that please?Oh I so wish you had!!! Take no notice of the children! They’d do it if they were adults!! 🤣
We all want the answer! 😀
Are private buyers getting this level of ‘service’ from Volvo? Sign up for a MY24 and get delivered a My25 without any discussion beforehand? I’d be interested to know.
It just seems you enter a contract whether it be with Motability or Volvo for a car with x y and Z and you’re given a car with a b and c without any consultation! I don’t go into curry’s to collect my pre ordered fancy fast spin washing machine and happily accept one with a much slower spin just because they assumed I would and they could! It’s the principle of it that really grates me!
