Disappointed to see the Honda HRV drop off the list. It had a relatively reasonable AP of £1999.
September 17, 2024 at 5:12 pm in reply to: Buying Vehicle at Lease End – Financial Ombudsman Decisions #288756Thanks @BigDave. Have wondered about this and if cars are sold by the dealership where old cars are sold by the dealership where the new cars are bought or if they end up on auction sites. I would imagine these vehicles will appear at some point on Autotrader. I was thinking of buying my current car when the lease ends in Feb but have since changed my mind. Will certainly look out for where it might appear on sale…
Hi all, an XC40 is on my shortlist as I can order a new car in Nov. A friend of mine took me for a test drive in a virtually brand new XC40 he has as a loan car whilst his XC60 is in the garage. The rear seats seemed really firm and not really comfortable (leg room was good and front seats were great) and I am wondering what others peoples opinions were, especially any feedback from those family members who regularly sit in the back?
The car I was in had 20” alloys which didn’t help by the way.
thanks
The new BMW 1 series is now in showrooms in Europe. Seen a couple of videos on it on YouTube and it looks like a great car. I wonder when it will arrive on motability. I would be keen on looking at this but I think the AP may be in the £4K range and is more than I was looking to spend.
Anyone know if the Scenic Alpine will increase /decrease? predictions?
In Q3 the Esprit Alpine was reduced to £999 from £2595 so seems good value. Speak to your dealer and ask them if it drops in Q4, will they match it. I would assume they probably will.

September 4, 2024 at 9:10 pm in reply to: Is previous quarterly Advance Payment pricing available anywhere? #287922I was looking for the same. Nearest I found was the motor clarity website which shows quarter on quarter change. I was interested in seeing if there was a pattern and if there was a ‘best’ time to buy but haven’t come across it yet.
I saw the Karoq 4×4 2.0 DSG – £4K Ap but the high fuel consumption put me off. Smaller car than the Kodiaq so I think the 1.5 engine will be fine for my needs. Looking forward to test driving this soon.
I got a BP Pulse card via Motability over 2 years ago and struggled to get it working and set up. Had numerous calls with BP Pulse and I gave up in the end. It was painful. Good luck and hoping they have improved their customer service.
I saw one on the road just today and told my missus, we should look at one as we can order our replacement car in Q4. Will definitely test drive one now following your post. Thanks
