Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.
So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

August 22, 2024 at 8:20 pm #287301Anyone know what the mark up is that dealers put on Alloys, Heat Pump etc?
There must be a difference between trade & retail costs?

August 22, 2024 at 8:43 pm #287306I don’t think they work like that now they’ve changed models. With move to agency model and standardised pricing

If I correctly remember, the dealer get’s a cut on extra options, ontop of agency fees.
August 23, 2024 at 2:08 am #287321Yeah probably but it’s probably in their contract they can’t use that to do deals whole point of the agency model was universal prices to the consumer
August 23, 2024 at 9:22 am #287333Seems strange that I never got a VIN during the build or even after. So I can’t say that the car that was built for me was actually the car I’m being offered?
We’ll see what today brings and how reasonable they are at compensating my disappointment & the contract breach between us!

I had no VIN. First time I saw it was when the car had been delivered to the dealer (was on a sticker on the windscreen) but the dealer only made reference to it on collection day to get me set up with the online aspect.
Good question about markup. I think though it applies only for dealer fit items because they buy them to sell them whereas the factory fit them and the dealer then takes the vehicles so its all included. Would be good to know though.
What you say about contract breach- you aren’t in any contract yet. I know what you are saying but they may say that you dont enter into the contract until you collect the car. You are saying your agreement to specify the car has been breached and that in making the mistake, you’ve been disadvantaged. You can still walk away from the purchase now as long as you haven’t entered your pin. It’s the upset, disappointment and wait time compounding it that I think you have grounds to make a complaint to the dealer. I would be careful though because if you deep down want the car- they may give you an ultimatum which means you take it or leave it. That would be disappointing for sure but you should be prepared given the reading of disparity in how dealers treat custom for motability.
Good luck and keep us updated!
2024 Skoda Enyaq estate- 85x Sportline plus in Race Blue. Extras: Supernova 21 inch wheels, Maxx Pack, Transport Pack, Heat Pump and Pano Sunroof.
Ordered 31/10/23, Delivery 27/3/24August 23, 2024 at 10:21 am #287335@Solymar do you know for sure and how to do a physical check to see if a heatpump is fitted?
I wouldn’t expect the heatpump a common option and if your car has been sold and it really is a stock car being offered, its definately worth checking out.
August 23, 2024 at 10:37 am #287337Yes, I know what it looks like & it has R744 or something as an agent so there should be a label!
Trouble is, I’ve asked to go and see the car and they’ve refused saying its in one of their compounds at the moment & they don’t know which one! Still waiting for them to call back about the deal we discussed!

August 23, 2024 at 10:41 am #287338Fishy! If true, so much for stock inventory!
Best of luck.
August 23, 2024 at 11:09 am #287341Can’t see it? That sound even more suspicious.
Of course there’s a contract at this stage you literally get it when you order. It’s not the full lease contract obviously but you choose a car and they agree to supply said car at said price there’s signed paperwork an order form ergo a contract. It might be electronically signed but it’s still a contract.
August 23, 2024 at 11:42 am #287346You have to wonder if they’ve sold the original car on to a retail customer and are now sourcing a stock car from elsewhere.
August 23, 2024 at 11:46 am #287347Solyamr when I ordered the Enyaq I got a receipt / contact style bit of paper. It said that it was a contract but had some other clear words on it. It was some random words you don’t see to often like pro bono, I can’t remember them tbh. It clearly stated that I had a contract in my hands but the other wording said not. When I googled the meaning of the word it basically said that the contract I held was as reliable as a handshake and had no legal clout for either party to use against the other if in dispute.
Contacts was widely discussed on here around that time I ordered, so early February. It might be worth searching to see if it helps you
August 23, 2024 at 12:35 pm #287352You’ve really got to remember that a contract is nearly always written to benefit the business. Look at the Disney plus contract saying you can never sue Disney for anything if you subscribe even once.
A contract is a contract it’s enforceable same as a handshake. Whether it says contract or not is irrelevant a contract is merely a written definition of a transaction. Now you can’t sue over this because you have no material loss as such you haven’t paid money and gotten the wrong car so it’s whether you agree to this car or what they’re going to do to make you feel whole.
I suspect you’re gonna struggle as most stuff they’d bundle in situations like this are covered by motability like a free service etc.
I’d outright ask them did you sell my car and replace it with this stock one? If it were me I’d be sorely tempted to go to another dealer but it is kinda cutting your nose to spite your face at that point too.
