Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.
So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

Still waiting for them to come back to me! The lad that phoned me yesterday to advise me that the car had arrived, did seem surprised when I asked about the Advanced pack, he had to go and double check if it had it or not. My regular contact is on holiday so can’t ask him at the moment what has happened! Either way, I’m still gutted! It feels like that favourite Xmas box you wanted but never got feeling! š

August 23, 2024 at 1:12 pm #287354I think Iāve asked this before, but what level of charge does the Enyaq have when you pick it up?
August 23, 2024 at 2:18 pm #287356Mine had 100%
And I love it we get well over 320 miles from a charge,Ā except for when we go to ManchesterĀ at 80mph and it’s 310 before we topped up ,the average seppd was 70Ā between one top up.

Cheers @ Pertrol-Head, youāll need to change your forum name to Electric-Head.
August 23, 2024 at 3:47 pm #287361Mine was about 93% when I picked it up and I’m getting around 4 miles per kwh on a long trip with aircon blasting and not being very careful
August 23, 2024 at 4:43 pm #287364What range is everyone getting on the motorway? Weāre doing a Cornwall trip in October M6, M5, A30 and Iām working out charge stops, probably going to use Tesla at Cribbs Causway and Camborne.
August 23, 2024 at 7:26 pm #28736885X mainly short trips so around 3.3 to 3.7 miles/kWhĀ Best 100% charge I’ve had since collection was last week when it said 309.Ā Of course putting the aircon onto “Lo” dropped that by about 15 miles.Ā In reality after running about in B mode it was heading down to a realistic 275-285 range.
I have another “long for me” trip in September, about 130 miles round trip but it’s not a good indication as most of it is up the A68, a mainly single carriageway which has lots of traffic, turns and uphill sections.Ā Last trip it struggled to get about 3.3 going up but was back to about 3.6 when I got back home.
Following a short chat with Dominhall Dodds on the FB group I’m running it D mode this week to see if it improves.Ā I’ve seen 8.5 on the real time display in the HUD cruising on a motorwy with 50mph restrictions.Ā It varies wildly doing the same journey from my house to the dual carriage way I use to get to my daughters, somedays it’s over 5 others it’s around 3.5 with no percepible difference in driving style or the amount of traffic.Ā It is a total GOM but I’m not complaining, I don’t drive it for the best economy and I’m more than happy with it reducing my monthly fuel spend from Ā£80-Ā£120 down to Ā£13-Ā£14 š
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
August 23, 2024 at 7:36 pm #287370August 23, 2024 at 7:44 pm #287371It certainly helps the budget!
I only do at most 6000-7000 miles a year, my previous petrol Ateca averaged about 36mpg so 165-195 gallons at £6.35 meant a monthly bill of around £90+ a month, more doing only short trips with worse mpg.

August 23, 2024 at 9:10 pm #287377Hopefully getting mine Wednesday, and looking forward to the fuel savings. Tiguan is going back with less than 33k on it after 4.7 years and seem to average high 30s on the mpg so expecting a similar saving (well hoping for). I have no intention of trying to eke out every last bit of economy, will just drive it as usual, worst case scenario will probably be a minimum of 60% saving which I can definitely live with

August 23, 2024 at 9:55 pm #287383Totally amazing savings I was putting £200 a month of diesel in the grand voyager now the cost of home charging is almost nothing esp on a sunny day with solar
August 24, 2024 at 7:16 am #287385We were Ā£500 a month in petrol into a 23ā tucson, now down to about Ā£20 a month in electric in our 60 Enyaq, I absolutely love the car. Just wish I had the patience to wait for a sportline, only 30 months til change of car date ha

20 gallons a week, that’s very nearly 2 tank fulls or around 600 miles a week?
August 24, 2024 at 12:59 pm #287393Ā£87 to fill it and averaging 340 miles to a full tank, 70 mile round trip school run twice a day
August 24, 2024 at 1:02 pm #287394Yeah when my dad was with us they had foster kids at school over 30 miles each way. Add on shopping, leisure, Dr’s appointment etc it’s scary how soon that all adds up
August 24, 2024 at 4:17 pm #287400I think I may have found out a way to see when your enyaq has been built. Ā Yo need to have it registered in the skoda app but if you go into “inspect” and then scroll down and download the digital cert, look at the graph at the bottom. Mine starts in feb and my car was delivered to me in March which suggests that the graph starts its counting when the car was built. It has dashed lines up until delivery date but I am sure that means my car which I took delivery of at the end of march was built in feb. This chimes with the 4-6 weeks they say it takes to get the car from the factory to the dealer and delivered to the customer.

What do you mean by having it registered?
August 24, 2024 at 7:34 pm #287404That’s interesting!
If I decide to accept mine next week I’ll have a look at that! I’m still gutted that I didn’t get the car I ordered after nearly 9 months of waiting! I’m still trying to find out where it went wrong, for what it’s worth! A deals still up in the air so it could go either way!
If I re order at least it would be a MY25 face-lift model, whatever difference that is?

August 24, 2024 at 7:35 pm #287405So sorry- should have been clearer. You need to have the skoda app and have the car registered to it so be able to see its status etc

The car will look mint I am sure- white coupe with those wheels will look lovely. You could order again and wait but next years model I don’t think will get much tweaks as the Elroq is the star of Skoda’s R&D right now. Skoda also seems to update models yearly so putting yourself in for another unknown wait could just be rubbing salt in the open wounds you have. If I were you I would ask for the car to be sent to the dealership and you get into it- you’ll either love it or resent it- that will help you know if its worth sticking with or not. Be warned though- they are lovely cars!

August 24, 2024 at 10:20 pm #287415There’s not much on the MY25 face-lift then worth waiting for! If anythingĀ they’ve took more off than they’ve added! I don’t think I’ll be waiting another 9 months for one of those!

August 25, 2024 at 7:41 am #287428Has the physical appearance of the car had a makeover? I can see why they removed heated washer jets, remote pre-heating probably does away with the need. 15 watt wireless charging will be useful. Sustainable brolly and removal of air quality sensors, meh š«¤.
August 25, 2024 at 9:35 am #287430No, there’s nothing major being done until the full MY25 is released some time next year.

August 25, 2024 at 10:51 am #287439I dunno when I had the MG I was out in winter and more than once had the jets freeze up during a journey despite being high concentrate screenwash. Not having an engine under there does have the odd disadvantage.
I reckon they’ve removed them as its something most won’t even notice and maybe it’s a part they struggle to get in
