Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.

So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

At £1,599 the 85 Edition is a bargain compared to the Ioniq 5 and 6 let alone the other BEV SUVs. However, the spec is limited although much improved on the old 80, so it depends entirely whether the missing spec items are important to you or not. @Kezo, if it’s more expensive, it’ll be the coupe, they’ve bunged everything together and said little to make it easier to understand, again. I’m Autistic, if I say something you find offensive, please let me know, I can guarantee it was unintentional. I’ll try to give my honest opinion but am always open to learning. Mark

Thanks Mark, just confirmed on Skoda’s Motability proce guide. Just gone the the proceedure building the Sportline Plus… Advance Pack £2035 Canton sound system HUD Heated windscreen, front and rear seats Crystal face. Maxx Pack £3980 Area view (360) camera Dynamic suspension Electric front deats, with memory function Electric lumbar support & massage function for drivers seat. Park assist, trained parking in familar area’s Heat Pump £1025 The biggy for me is the 360 camera and I guess mrs kezo will want heated rear seats, which requires both Adavanced and Maxx packages. Should I be moving to my first BEV, I would like the reassurance of a Heatpump. By my calculations that makes the Enyak Sportline Plus £9,000 car, thats without VAT added to the options.

        @Kezo

The Max pack also includes the Advanced pack items.

I’m really glad to see this back on and little if any ap hike for those that have been through the mill this month over it. I have a question which is baffling. The estate version is cheaper than the coupe, are estates not usually more expensive to buy? Like autos are always dearer than manuals, I just thought that’s how it worked.

They are pretty much the same size. The only difference really is the roofline. On the Coupe it is panoramic where as the estate is a traditional roof. you can option a sunroof on the estate for 900 odd quid.

It would be worth checking regarding the rear wiper on the Coupe.

On the outgoing model the base version didn’t have a rear wiper unless you got the Clever pack.

Since the Edition has most if not all of the clever and plus pack equipment then you would think the rear wiper would be included.

                Happy Thanksgiving all,

As said, the Maxx pack includes everything in the Advanced pack, so only one price not both

The heat pump uis quite expensive and you need to work out if the 10% increase in mileage is worth tge financial outlay upfront. The 85 has battery pre condition, which gets the battery to optimum temperature for charging.

Tge car can also still b3 heated or cooled without the heat pump.

The Coupe has over tge suv, tge glass roof, butno shade, you have to buy a manual shade you have to fit or take out, bit of a faff tbh and with such a large glass it will be noisier and longer to heat the cabin

It also comes with a hard parcel shelf, not a retractable one.

Right, mback to watching the Macys thanksgiving parade……

Remember also that, should you get clobbered by some idiot, you will need to find all the pack money plus whatever AP Motability don’t give you back just to be where you were before the accident.  I’m not convinced that’s a good deal.

Indeed and a valid point, I’m not sure everone on the scheme aware of.

Ventilated seats a blessing especially if you have full leather seats during hot weather. I have enjoyed them very much in my current car. Can I live without them. Probably!

I can remember being able to order a reverse camera and speed sign recognition (enabled other functions to be activated with the right device) seperately on my 2017 Skoda Superb. If only you could still order options individualy, rather than part of an expensive pack!

                    The 85 has a a drag coeffiecient of 0.27, the Coupe – 0.234. The Ioniq 5 0 – 288 and 6 – o.21, so its prety explanatory which are the most efficient.

Having finaly being able to have a quick look at the 6 in the flesh this morning, I’ve more or less rulled it out, mainly due to the dealer saying rear seats are intentially lower. Taking into account the floors are higher in EV’s, low rear seats as well, perhap aren’t a good thing when your wife sit’s in the back seat. The other thing is, I prefer not to stand out in the crowd! Nice car though and does have everything one could ask for.

I hadn’t considered this. I do wonder how MB decide when they will offer cars with packs included. Could you imagine a Sport Line Plus 85x [Maxx Pack] £2999 AP. ?

Save the rear wiper- we clearly need to save this vital feature – Electrfyng 6th Dec 22

Have people who had an Enyaq on order had their agreements updated in their MB account?

Apparently it should now show the vehicle you will receive with your AP you originally agreed too.

                            Can anyone confirm??

No, mine says exactly the same as it did.

It still shows the original order date of Sept. 6th., that stayed the same when the AP was adjusted down after the Oct.1st price drop.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

The rear wiper didn’t appear in the old brochure either.

I ordered and cancelled a base model coupe earlier this year and a wiper wasn’t included but any with the clever pack came with it (you can see on Autotrader site) , One dealer didn’t have a clue and another said clever pack needed.

I ended up changing back to the SUV when the Sportline plus came out.

3rd Enyaq order this year and might actually take this one . Getting built next week .

This extract from the Skoda website is interesting.

We are making some changes to give you confidence that the price you see on our website for our range of electric vehicles, is the same as the invoice price you pay at your chosen Škoda Retailer, wherever you are in the UK. All our electric vehicles will now be sold directly by us, Škoda UK, via Škoda Retailers (who will be acting on our behalf as our Agents when processing electric vehicle orders).

Finally had dealer confirmation of my order coming as an 85 and being built next week.

Funny how the dealer finally has answers on the day I get the response from my complaint to MB.

MB confirmed that existing agreement and issued PIN will be fine for accepting the 85 in place of the 80.

MB stated that following my complaint they approached Skoda UK and they have said that all dealers where notified of changes in October so there should have been no confusion.

At least everything is sorted now.

                                                I ordered a 80 sportline on the 27th Oct.

I advised my dealer to keep the order open until the 85x may come on. However last weds he called to say the 80’s were no longer available and the 85x would hopefully be back on in Jan. Motability confirmed that to be correct and between the two of them, promptly cancelled my order.

The following day the 85 appeared on the site much to my amazement. I approached both dealer and motability who said they had no idea it was coming back the day after the cancellation. my attitude was likely story.

I escalated the complaint and was informed that Skoda had 18, 80 sportline variants and I could have one on changeover day, Jan 2024. Furthermore some 500  motability orders that had been taken by Skoda, were going to be upgraded free of charge by Skoda. Mine hadn’t been accepted as an order by Skoda and wasn’t eligible for the upgrade.

I currently now have a 85x sportline on order for sometime in 2024.
