I’m sure all of you who have one on order, have been eagerly waiting (as of I) for Q1 24 to see what will be updated… and now the msport is available! (With 3 different packs too).
now the question on my head. If we want to switch to the msport model with the dealer, will they have to raise a whole new order with the factory, or will they be able to trim msport with the original factory slot?

Hi has anyone ordered an M sport from Hampshire marshal Bmw? If so how was the delivery time?
March 10, 2024 at 11:17 am #267659Just thought of another question, does the reversing assistant remember after you’ve got out the car or is it just during that driving session? Just thinking it could be handy for getting off a driveway the next time you go out

It remembers it. I’ve used it on my car days later.

It’s a great feature and one I will definitely miss when I change cars.

March 12, 2024 at 11:02 am #268233As you know I’ve been waiting ages…was told a few weeks ago 29th April production date checked today 24th June…cba anymore ffs. Originally ordered sport 2nd sept then changed to m sport 11th jan. Anyone else been pushed back?
March 12, 2024 at 11:17 am #268234Exactly the same as me Ayzee. My build week has been 29th of April for a long time. I checked last week and they told me 1st of April. I checked yesterday and they told me 24th of June. I honestly don’t have much faith that they know what they’re talking about at the bmw genius anymore. It is absolutely ridiculous if it’s June
March 12, 2024 at 11:19 am #268235@ryan they’re mocking it I don’t get how it can be pushed back 2 months a few weeks here and there I get it? I’ve emailed my dealer to get clarification
March 12, 2024 at 11:34 am #26823735 sport ordered 27 July built 29th February delivery week 13 25th March
shuld be at dealers 1st April I hope been a long wait but looking at forums it’s the average time scale 8-9 months ?
March 12, 2024 at 11:45 am #268238@Ayzee please let me know what they say because I think our builds are going through the same thing
March 12, 2024 at 12:49 pm #268245I feel bad for you guys, your dealer definitely messed up when amending your orders or didn’t have the necessary experience. I ordered back in August and soon as M Sport became available he altered it on the same slot because all it means when it’s at 060-090 status is secure a slot for a build. Not specifically for the car until close to production.
My car has now arrived at dealer and I’ve pushed collection back another 10 days no issue. Just seems like it depends on the dealer handling your order, personally have had a great experience at Berry BMW.
March 12, 2024 at 1:45 pm #268248@Ayzee terrible! I ordered at the same time as you 3rd sep and its been a longgg wait. Could you not complain as you changed to M sport solely on keeping the same order number right otherwise you would have stuck to the sports.
I did have a push back as originally it was march build and collection but now its week of 18th build and delivery end of April for the change to M sport. But i have a feeling it might be further pushed back too
March 12, 2024 at 1:59 pm #268249Unfortunately heard back from dealer genius are correct a lot of delays on the e35 m sport. So the movement of 2 months is correct, could of course come forward again but I’m not holding my breath…
March 12, 2024 at 2:00 pm #268250bmw and volvo, whether its dealers or company not looking too good out of this. the chip situation shouldnt be causing so much of an issue as thats supposedly mostly back to normal apparently.
so are they just abusing motability clients, just because it makes them more money and there is perhaps less comeback

I ordered the sport on 24th August and the alleged build date is now 18th March (subject to change) . I have not changed to m sport.March 13, 2024 at 10:26 am #268300I ordred my sport model on 7th August 2023 and collected on 1st March 2024. Glad I stuck to Sport as I don’t think I could wait till June / July. It’s a wonderful car and we are really enjoying it.
March 13, 2024 at 4:17 pm #268346I know Matt gave us a timeline of 22days from when the i4 enters bodyshop to delivery.

March 16, 2024 at 11:21 am #268548Has anyone received their M Sport model yet?
and those who have either sport/m sport what range are you getting in cold weathers?

Cold weather – 210/215 miles.
But don’t get too hung up on the guess-ometer, it’s the efficiency you need to take note of.
Mine is averaging 3.6 miles/Kwh and recently achieved 4.4 on a longer run.
I left home on 206 miles, drove 60 miles and the guess-ometer said my range left was 178 miles, having increased steadily through the first half of the journey, due to mild weather (14C).
Indeed, at 50% battery, the range left was 140 miles, so 280+ should be achievable in warmer weather on cross country trips. However, from everything I read, EVs are not so efficient at constant motorway speeds

To put this into context, I do tend to have a heavy right foot and in my CLA I averaged 31 mpg over 67000 miles. Most of my driving in the i4 has been done as if it’s an ICE car heating set to 21 and I have no need to drive economically, but I must say you don’t need to have it in sports mode all the time as it’s too much at times. I did a little half an hour trip including some motorway driving a few days ago and drove normally, 70 on the motorway and didn’t flood it from the lights, but at no means was I driving sluggishly and I averaged 4 mpkwh. As I’ve said before I feel if I was going on a long trip with mainly motorways I’d easily averaged 4 so that would be 268 miles or more, but I’m sure others could push this much further. Due to my disabilities I can’t drive far without having to stop for a rest anyway so stopping for the odd 20 minutes quick charge suits me. I have no problems with paying to fast charge as it still works out cheaper than petrol and the savings I’m making is unreal. By my calculations I’ve saved nearly £100 in just 2 weeks and have never had so much fun driving.</p>
