Hello guys
Just a quick update to say I collected my i4 m sport pro on Friday
a couple of you had questions
Bmw gave me a bmw charging card for discounted Bp pulse and ionity Charging, you register this through the bmw app
I also got given a motability go charge card and they also fitted in a ohme home pro charger at my house
when I collected the car my salesmen even gave me a gift (bmw umbrella)
My car battery percent was at 93% and 233 range showing when I collected
overall the car is amazing, the seating position is higher up and a lot better than my previous 3 series and the seats are one of the best seats I’ve sat in (m sport seats)

Yes, generally. But of course the lower the pressure, the greater the drag, the worse the economy i.e. range, so it’s finding the sweet spot between comfort and not being too far from the recommended pressures.

Guys how long did it take for your cars to be delivered after arriving at the port?
My status has been stuck on 193 since 8th March – arrived at port preparing shipping to Uk . My estimated delivery date week 8th April

Apparently BMW have requested dealership to stop handover on i4’s due to coolant leaks
this might affect our orders getting delayed further more
For those who choose the M Sport Pro pack and opted out of Tech pack with Harmon Kardon, does anyone know what standard speakers come with the i4? I am hoping it’s the 10-speaker HiFi Sound System and not the base 6-speaker as it makes a difference to the ‘Iconic Sounds’ the i4 will make.
good question! I believe it’s the 10 speaker hifi as standard
The i4 offer a 10-speaker audio system with a 205-Watt amplifier as standard, while a Harman Kardon system with 16 speakers
I have been waiting 3 weeks for the dealer to change my order from the sport to the m-sport. Rang the other day and was told there was 70 in a queue waiting to be changed over.
i recommended you visit the showroom and speak to your dealer. It shouldn’t take 3 weeks to place a new order through motability and bmw ordering system
Make sure you mention to him you are a member on the motability forum group and many people have manage to get this changed over
My dealer changed my sport to m sport in front of me when I visited him, he also updated my order on motability system and manage to get me the same build slot as my original sport order
Just got information for my M Sport order, has gone from status 111 (capacity checked) in Nov and now to 112 (scheduled for production) in Jan, production is week 7 so expecting delivery mid March.

I received the updated MB letter through the door this morning confirming m sport change with a new PIN code
@Mm7 it’s nice to know our dealers made the extra effort for us by manually calling bmw and speaking to them directly about amending our original slot.
I believe others who have been given new slots, there dealers probably did the easy way and went with whatever the computer tells them.
@budest I guess you are right. We will have to wait and see has anyone else on this forum changed from Sport to M sport and been given the same order number and Same build slot? If so which dealer. Thanks
I have changed sport to m sport on 5th January, same slot, both motability and bmw genius showing m sport update
My dealer also sent me a email with a screenshot of bmw ordering system confirming all the info! Happy days March 10 production date and 15 April hand over date
I’ve just been on live chat with BMW and my build went into 150 today, with an expected delivery of week 8 so when you allow the 5 days the dealership has to have the car for I should be perfect for the 1st March collection date. I know it makes no difference to me whether it’s a 73 or 24 plate, but 24 is my lucky number. I’ve just called my dealership and they gave me the VIN number.

Hi all,Sorry for yet another i4 thread but with so mamy appearing this post may get lost. My neighbour received his bmw i4 40 and decided to have the window tints done and had some issues which i thought i would share as i see some are having this option added after factory order. On the the coupe the windows open and close when the door is opened and closed(various settings on how far down the wimdow drops is available via info screen settings and via key). The problem he had was the company he used decided om holding the windows in place using some suction gadget,as a result one of the wimdows when opening does not drop slightly on closing now which has caused an issue that has damaged the motor and that particular wimdow will not open or close at all via controls. So those who are having tints done after getting car, i strongly recommemd to do some checks and better still check the company you use has done the i4(or coupe style) before.

I believe holding the window in place with suction gadgets isn’t the right procedure to tint drop down windows, definitely a inexperience tinter
I have been quoted £180 to get all the rear and back passengers windows tinted by a reputable garage, who does bmw/audis and jaguars dealerships cars
if you do decide to get windows tinted, make sure you do research on the garage prior handing your car over, last thing we all want is having to get our windows replaced
I decided to go for the pro pack aswell just makes the car look much more meaner and nicer imo! Now I’m debating wether to add HK system with that but will bring the AP up another £900 which not sure is worth it as the car is not owned andnwill be going back after a few years, don’t mind payin a little more for Msport though.. Has anyone added the stock privacy windows for extra £250? I have added them but thinking to remove it and get it done myself at 5% as the bmw stock ones are around 20% and only on back sides and rear, 20% which is a bit too light for me i prefer it blacked out to go with the all black color code, whats your guys thoughts on the stock pricacy windows?
Good choice, which colour did you get? Did you go with 19” wheels or 18s?
Regarding the tints, I think it’s better getting them done by third party, it will cost less and you can get darker tints installed which will make the car look more aggressive. I’ve been quoted £180 to get all rear windows tinted limo black
@edd Is your motability account showing m sport update? If so has it shown the new recent date or old date?@candy I believe that’s correct however best to contact motability and find out

Which Msport package did you go for the tech pack or Msport pro pack with the 19″ alloy rims that look gorgeous and spoiler included!
i went with the pro pack. You get m sport adaptive suspension which makes the ride so much better, and you get 19” wheels. Downside to that is you lose around 20 miles compared to 18” wheels
you can’t go wrong with either. Some would prefer the tech pack as it includes Hk system
Yes, they stated delivery by 1st week of March. Honestly, I wanted to push this out further as I’ve been requesting a longer build time haha, quite the contrary to everyone else here. I presume they just got a build slot recently and the change is being done before going on the factory floor to be built. I didn’t privy the details. The salesman sent me a follow-up email regarding my request to switch from the Sport, I’m going on his words being gospel and I have proof if that doesn’t end up being the case.
Seeing couple people having problems with switch over, I would recommend you check with bmw genius and your motability order account to see if changes have been made to confirm you’re definitely getting m sport
@glosguy I had to go in on Friday, mine shows amended to m sport since friday on motab. But on genius its only showing status 105 sport, however this hasn’t been updated since the Friday 05/01 wonder what this means for me?
this to me sounds like the dealership has placed a new order for you and maybe a new build slot
if your motability order shows the recent date change and not your old date from September, and bmw status still showing sport without 111, this to me sounds like they’ve given you a new build slot or order number bro.
I would contact them tomorrow and investigate it further
Just thought I would update y’all. I changed from sport to m sport yesterday. Checked today and motability order showing it’s been updated to m sport with my original order date 24/8/23.
Also spoke to bmw genius this afternoon and they have confirmed order bas been updated to m sport. Still the same build slot which I had for the sport and schedule for week 10 production status 111. Can’t wait! ?
