I had to pay for the hoist installation when it was done, although I believe this is a subsidised price from Motability. I guess I will just have to aske them.

How about the new Toyota Landcruiser? If only!

The Ssangyong Rexton would be nice or even better, the Volvo XC60 back on the scheme.

Definitely had buyer’s remorse with my current vehicle, a Ford Galaxy.

Had a list of problems, from seven software crashes, an engine that cuts out whenever the Adblue level drops below halfway, windscreen wipers that come on on dry days if you put the aircon on high, an oil leak that has been looked at (and supposedly cured) four times and two manufacturer recalls. It also has a really annoying habit of activating collision assist braking whenever a car passes too close in the opposite direction.

My Ford dealer service manager tells me that they just get one like this now and then. That doesn’t help and I will be really happy to see it go once another suitable car comes onto the scheme.

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned how it was better to track your vehicle once you hand it back and then buy it direct from the dealer. Can anyone shed any light on how you track the vehicle?

If you have gone through insurance as you suggest it will go down as a non fault accident. I have previously watched these small dent companies that come to your home, paint several area’s of a neighbours deceased fathers picanto, where they didn’t even bother to tint the paint to make it suit the aged standard red of the car. Needless to say it looked idiotic.

I wasn’t given a choice about where the car was repaired but if I had been then I probably would have chosen the mobile option anyway, as I have modifications to my vehicle and trying to get a suitable hire vehicle whilst mine was away would have been difficult. I just assumed that you would get the same quality of repair wherever the vehicle was.
