New prices are live on website now. Volvo XC40 pro plus dark has reduced from 3199 to 1999 if anyone in market for aN SUV. Very decent price.
Thanks MF. Hadn’t clocked there was one in Truro, which is closer. Will give them a ring.

If you need one best to go with a spec that has it as standard. If you add it as an extra you will generally pay full price but only get 3 years benefit. Many SUVs have it as standard on their higher spec models – quasqai, Tuscon, australe, etc
And not a single car to get me excited. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but why does electric need to be do boxy and ugly.
You have no obligation until you enter you PIN at collection. You may also want to consider the increased time delay in Hyundai supplying a vehicle.
The Kia dealer may not be chuffed but as you say, the AP gap between the EV6 and the ioniq 5 is now very significant. And they can shift your ordered car to another customer.
Correct, bought only for stock cars in old model. For new model and factory order, the AP is 3995
Thanks Kezo. I had signed up to keep in touch with kerbo. Problem is that the house is a listed thatch, and even if the authorities permitted a box, my wife would not be very happy as not ” in keeping’ with period of property, and struggling to see how we could hide it Not prepared to have the argument!
Thanks for the various advice. Our local councillor lives in the village and will start with her. She’s a Green party councillor so should be interested. Hopefully she will point me in the right direction.
March 17, 2024 at 9:04 pm in reply to: How much tech do you need and do you use it when you have it? #268660Never use cruise control as I feel out of control. Also lane assist is dangerous. However really value blind spot monitoring on motorways, and did initially miss parking assist until I relearned parallel parking!
Looks stunning. Enjoy it.
Must admit I’ve always had great service from the mobile team in the southwest. Typically done within 24 hours for worn tyres. No complaints. Given the volumes I guess it will always be a mixed bag.
I ordered a petrol ultimate with manual transmission on 27th June. Was initially quoted January for delivery, but they had a build slot for a colour/interior combo I was happy with for November delivery. Your dealer seems more optimistic than mine was (Exeter).
In terms of current lead times, I ordered a tuscon ultimate petrol this week and standard delivery dates were given as January 2023. Dealer did advise of pre build slots and was offered one with November delivery.
Nice to see the Focus back, and APs not too shabby in the current market. Kuga rates also unchanged from Q2.
Don’t believe so. They want to be satisfied that the car meets your needs, but no specific requirement of a test drive. I ordered my current (and first) mobility car without a test drive, and have seen comments on here where people have ordered in advance of cars getting into showrooms.
The AP on the Tuscon is noticeably cheaper – 1300 below the kuga and around 800 below the skoda. Most of my mileage is out of towns. The car is for my daughter, so I have no physical issues around manual, it’s just an ease and convenience thing. There wouldn’t be much difference on a 3 year cost basis.
Around 65% less cars on the scheme from 3 years ago, and I’m still indecisive!! Now steering back to the Tuscon. The no cost option of a light leather interior is another big uptick.
