I was going to order the Enyaq 85x sportline coupe  this month for £3250 payment. now the lower spec edition model is £5199 so very sad.

All I can say is wow! Every electric vehicle on my list has now priced itself off my list with higher advanced prices. Well back to hybrid. Such a shame.

I just don’t know at the moment, I have been waited for the capri because it suited me with looks and boot size. I will have to study the Motability cars for suitability. I have a Skoda Enyak estate as a courtesy car I am pretty impressed with it so that may be an option.

Ok well an update my lovely capri has been in the ford workshop for a month now almost the same time as I drove it in the beginning. the problem with the main screen cutting out exactly every 2 minutes. the Ford engineers don’t know what the problem is! I now have a case with the Motability team to decide what I want to do. I love the capri but I have lost all faith in Ford. Back to the drawing board to pick a car. so sad 🙁

I ordered my car on the 18th February and picked it up on the 14th May, so a little less than 3 months.

If people can get past the name it is really a cracking car and I think its popularity is taking off.

Yes the AP is high but I cant see many low APs for cars around £50.000 mark even the ID5 that it is built on has a AP over £3000

It is a amazing car. I can get past the name. To me it doesn’t matter as it holds absolutely no relevance to the original Capri. Part of me thinks Ford have deliberately caused controversy naming it the Capri as good or bad publicity is still publicity 🙂

Thank you. I originally went to look at the explorer but fell in love with the capri. It even has a bigger boot it is cavernous😎

It took a while to get comfortable with the steering mounted gear lever. I still had muscle memory from my Suzuki Swace hybrid. lol

Yeah to be fair I am very impressed by the Capri. its the first ford I have had on Motability since the days of my first s-max. Probably not important to a lot of people but apple car play cuts out every 2 minutes. To give ford their due they are taking it in for a day to update something lol. The rear wheel drive extended range 77 k Wh battery which I got is scarily fast.

Went to look at the ford Explorer saw the Capri and I was hooked. Test drove one last week and ordered it straight away. Found it strange that the boot is bigger than the explorer. I don’t really understand the hate with the name? I had 2 Capri’s in the 80s and yes they were iconic but they also rusted badly, had heavy steering and had absolutely no grip in the wet! its just a name and pretty much anyone under 50 wont know what the originals were anyway lol

                                getting it early May.

Thanks for all the info from everyone, to be honest I certainly cant pay up to £700 extra on top if it comes to that. I guess the final price would be in a survey before I committed?

pretty good as they are made in the UK it was a 2 month wait for the sz-5 or 6 months for the sz-t went with the sz-5 as we really didn’t want to wait.

believe it or not the colour is phantom brown never thought i would have a brown car but it is a lovely colour.

I cant believe the HS is so popular it was a nice enough car but the bongs telling you your wheels were not straight every time you got in the car started to grate a bit. and the fuel economy was shocking.

not surprised the MH HS is a cracking car

its just endemic of the times, with the advent of social media people don’t now have to write a letter to “points of view” or stand on speakers corner to give their opinion. I do love the fact that information can be obtained by the click of a mouse but unfortunately that then makes everyone’s opinion available to everyone! After all how many people would really be bothered to write a letter to “points of view” if it involved effort?

I am a child of the 80s and if the same actions were made then that we make today then we would probably be committed 🙂

Imagine in the 80s I walked out of my house saw my neighbour told them what I was planning to have for dinner then took a dump in the street and invited everyone to look at it and comment on it and then write down their findings. Imagine the furore if decades ago the government suggested that everyone would carry a tracker that showed you every movement to within a few meters? but we did it ourselves. We have enslaved our conscious thought to machines in under 20 years!

I love the progress we have made with technology but I am glad I am an old fart and don’t have to see future generations with internet chips planted behind their eyes 🙂

Just my personal opinion here but we seem to have lost all dignity, and self respect and given up privacy.

the old saying opinions are like a””holes everyone has got them ( and has to share them like me)

                                              😉
