Yes the Ioniq5 Ultimate does have memory seats.
You can heat and defrost the car using the Bluelink app on your phone. You can also lock doors and close windows. Many times in my last car av been in asdas and thinking, did I lock the car??…lol.
Yup. Mark its a steep learning curve. Trying 2 charging points an failed miserably. The first one, you needed a card. Moved on to an instavolt…great it accepts swipe…done that then pulled out the charging pistol, it couldnt reach the port. I installed the app for the first charger, and it charged fine. 30 mins and charged it to 88%. Right next to a Starbucks…lol.
It just keeps you on your toes, new technology…lol.
The 249 reading is from Bluelink, when I went out and switched it on, it dropped to 212…lol. i was sitting a while as it was doing a system Update.
Still learning…lol.
I m sure its 2.5 or 2.7.
Edit..just checked an its averaging 2.9..
Its at 83% battery an indicating 249 miles.
I dont yet know how accurate the readings are.
I.ll know the next time I go out and go a couple of miles.
The range estimates do tend to fluctuate as the power draw is variable i guess. I.ve not tried the heated seats yet, its plenty hot inside.
I.ve not done a great many miles, but it says 2.7m/kw thingy.
I have the heat at 22-26 and the heated steering wheel on…its marvelous. I have the regen paddles off, unless going down a steep hill. Am still trying the thing out.
I was gonna ask you a technical question Kezo.
I have a smart meter fitted, and its only single phase, but have 3 phase into the house.
Will my power supplier upgrade the meter to 3 phase if I asked?
Dont know if you do residential stuff or commercial.
You just got to ask the dealership to search if there are any available.
You got to be quick and willing to travel.
I was fortunate with my car, the sister dealership had my Ioniq in stock and wasnt very far away and they transported it to my local dealership.
But the Kodiak cars will go like hotcakes an you got to be quick.
I bagged an Ioniq 5 Ultimate for £1500.
You get the info from Motaclarity.
I find it much better that the motability list. It gives you as above the historic ap list and the vehicle dimension.
Its like MG are trying to capture the market by dropping prices.
You can lease an MG4 long range SE 2 years with 5K mile cap for £219/ month. 8k miles is £240. Thats with 2k AP.
These numbers are getting close to Motability rates.
I.ve had my Ioniq 5 for a couple of weeks now, and it really is a spaceship. It is less intrusive than my last car, which was always tugging the car into the centre of the lane. No more DSG gearbox lag.
The view out the car is very clear and unobstructed. I never use the rear view mirror and only the side mirrors, after driving a lorry and vans. It has normal door mirrors, not the digital ones. They blind spot cameras activating on the indicator stalk is brilliant. I guess the HUD is the best part..that should be standard on every car.
I dont have any problem with range. When I had my petrol car i topped it up when it got to 150 miles left and do the same with this.
I thought my last car had good tech. But 3 years later and the Ioniq blew it out of the water.
@glos guy
Insurance companies will use any excuse as a get out clause. But you are correct, its a grey area.
Nowaday everyone will record the one who tries to go through water and put it on Fail Army for all to see.
It is entirely hypothetical unless another member has done this.
However, Motability are very careful to leave any insurance problems for the customer to deal directly with Direct Line. I fail to think why anyone would be treated any differently because they are a Motability customer.
But willful damage to the car, no doubt if Direct Line washes their hands of the claim, then the customer would be liable for the full cost of the vehicle.
No doubt that scenario will be in the agreement document you signed on the vehicle lease.
You are both correct.
What the numbers mean is there are 620,000 active Motability customers and that the 700,000 are the total number of customers who have used the scheme.
The difference of 80,000 are the people that have left the scheme or have died since Motability Operations started.
A better descriptor is that 700,000 customers have used the scheme.
Most of these questions your HA put to you will be answered by Ohme or their contractor. Just forward their email to Ohme, they should be conversant in dealing with HA,s.
BTW i briefly lived in Bearpark in late 90,s…lol@kerzo
I recon you should go camping and let us know.
Oh I will do. It is one of the reasons I got the Ioniq for overnights in the mountains.
Heat on 26 when i had an ICE car…lol. but not the heated seat as well. I think its pretty much normal.
As others have suggested, the Ioniq 5 has the big boot at 570 litres.
Quite a few vids on people using the ioniq 5 for camping and overnight its used 4 to 5 percent battery in Utility mode.
But you take the vids with a pinch of salt. The ioniq 5 Ultimate has memory seats etc.
You are not alone Jacko.
I had ordered a car, 3 months down the line, the dealer couldnt give me a build week date. The factory is shutting down for a month because of lack of parts.
So I went looking at some dealerships and bagged a stock car. Cancelled my original order, and 2 weeks later have a new ride.
@glos guy lol ..I know.
The Ioniq 6 is a weird car, a mashup of everything.
But the Ioniq 5 is absolutely stunning in my opinion. It was designed by the same guy that designed the Lambo Murcelago and Gallardo, so it has the provenance.
It is still down to personal taste. The Ioniq 6 looks superb from the back, but any other angle its horrid. Its like they gave the design to the new apprentice and said…fill your boots.
I did ask my mobility sales person if the car would be charged to 100%, and it was.
Still, an Ioniq 5 or 6 Ultimate for £1500 incl dealers 750 and Motability 750, then 250 GCB is a steal .
Forget supermarke Soss.
I go to a local-ish butcher who has won a ton of awards. He sells a tray of pork, 50mm round, and is heaven. Much like black pudding sized rounds.
Easily air fried and blows the supermarket stuff out of the water.
Give your local butcher a try for soss , you wont look back.
Never seen standard cars that can outperform a Ferrari F40 away from the lights, like we have now.
The dual motor EX30 does 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. There is nothing ..boring about that.
The handling and instant power on an EV is incredible.
No doubt the law will catch up and EV,s will be restricted at some point. But a 2 tonne car with that performance is crazy. Having a medical emergency behind the wheel of these vehicles will make spectacular press, or a thieving thug joyriding in an EX30??
Reckon you got to be quick if you want a Kodiak. You got to be right on it as soon as its announced.
Stock items usually quick delivery…lol.
It wont take very long Lynz to get your new car. But give the dealership you ordered from for a definitive update.
If the dealer suggested installing the Phone App, then its a good sign.
Lynz, it probably wont mean the car is at the dealers. But phone them and ask for an update on your order.
They usually let you know when the car lands in the UK, and its a few weeks after that before it lands at the dealers.
Well done finding the site and congrats on your first Motability car
Mark, its common sense to create your list, not nerdy at all.
Used to do that with pen and paper to see where you stand…lol. Now its a spreadsheet.
Once you got an idea where you gonna go with your scores, then you go where your heart tells you.
Fortunately, its only a 3 year lease.
Who knows where we will be in a years time as age and health takes chunks out of us.
I would always go with the military thinking of decisions. There are no GOOD or BAD decisions… Its only A DECISION based on that moment in space and time.
No point in looking at hindsight with regrets.
I hope you get a car that works for you. Its only a temporary material object.
