I was quoted 11 weeks from order to dealer.
I have to concur fully, the interior finish of the Enyaq is head and shoulders above the ID.4.
In my experience, very, very few Skoda dealers offer incentives.
So it’s possible I might be joining the growing list of Enyaq drivers. Have a second test drive booked and, barring anything totally untoward, will take the plunge. The Sportline 85x maxx for me is the best value. The extra £600 for auto park, electric massage passenger seat and adaptive chassis is worth the money, in my opinion. Did look at the Tavascan, but would have had to go for the V2, which at £7k, was way too much.
Interesting thread. I’m probably going to go for the Enyaq. 4×4, slightly bigger and with Maxx pack has a ton of features, which gives it the edge over the Elroq. Both are fantastic cars. Hopefully nobody, whatever their choice, will have to wait the 10 months I and ithers did for their Kona’s!

Good choice, what is the current lead time.
Interesting thread, lots of useful information.
April 20, 2025 at 4:37 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #304556The question is, will the new one live upto the real life economy of the older model! @Tillyman Forgot to add the new Kona also comes witth heatpump as standard.
Interesting question. Having completed just over 20k in the “old” Kona, I have averaged 4.7m/KwH, which is 301 miles on a full charge, against a WLTP figure of 300.
A while since I posted, Q1 2025 does not seem to bring any real stand out bargains.
I have not posted on here for ages, and had a look at the Motability offerings today for the 1st time in ages. We appear to have a much better choice now.
Interesting thread, and as always, pros and cons. Not sure how the maths work out, but I imagine used 5 year old cars are less appealing io dealers who generally buy them at the end of the lease.
December 28, 2023 at 6:49 pm in reply to: What would you like to see on 1st Jan / New Quarter #252508Easy answer. Ssanyong Rexton. I’ll be happy to see a wider range of cars, in all categories.
November 17, 2023 at 2:50 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #244683A long and busy year. I think I would stick with the current Kona. We have averaged just under 5 miles/kWh, which is a real life range of 320. Its way too soon to be thinking about our next car, but its nice there are lots more options now. I see the BMW iX1 is available, but disappointing so many “essential” things come as part of a £1680 package. I have to take my car to the dealer on Tuesday for an upgrade to the sat nav, so will have a good look at the Ioniq 5 and 6. For an overall package, the Kona is still, IMO, the one to beat.
November 17, 2023 at 10:56 am in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #244222I see the new Kona is now available, £2599 or just £299 for the old one. I have notices fast charging is now around 79-85p/kWh, despite a fall in electricity prices. A nicer choice of electric cars overall.
July 23, 2023 at 11:05 am in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #227693Doesn’t having the heater or air con on in an EV take a lot off the range miles ?
Friday reduced from 379 to 363 with air con on.
July 22, 2023 at 1:36 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #227599Latest charge has produced a range of 380 mile, the highest yet. Last 200 miles have averaged 5.7miles per kWh. Nice to see the Ionic 5 and 6 are available but the Kona is still the best all round for value.
July 8, 2023 at 5:52 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #225805The year has flown. Very well, but have been dealing with lots of things. Service on mine is next week, takes an hour. 7500 miles only, average 4.9 m/kwh. Still pleased with car especially efficiency.
July 8, 2023 at 12:11 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #225751Haven’t posted for ages, lots of things going on. Today after a full charge the OBC shows a range of 384 miles.

An April fool from Motability, or are we the Fools!
March 26, 2023 at 12:09 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #216491I see the Kona is back on Motability, have been a bit tied up lately with various bits and pieces. The prices look pretty good, given what else is available too.
March 25, 2023 at 6:33 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #216457Today completed the second part of a 260 mile round trip, on Motorways, early morning in 11c. The onboard computer shows 45 miles remaining, a total range of 305. No need to use air-con or heating, but had Bluetooth audio on and travelling typically at around 60/65mph where possible. Later in the day a short trip into town produced 6.8 miles per kWh. All continues to be impressive. Spoke to a Mazda electric driver in a car park the other day who was asking about range. He told me he gets around 100 miles between charges, official 124.
March 20, 2023 at 12:00 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #215727Further info about my journey and driving style – I didn’t have a/c on – not needed – I still accelerate moderately hard when it is useful in making things both easier and safer ie joining roundabout or motorways – I drive in eco mode and usually set my braking to two bars – I have wind deflectors on all 4 windows which allows me to ventilate car if required for heat control and demisting with minimal drag – I use apple car play – I like my music – also I find Apple Maps and navigation to be superior to the Kona nav. I do not drive in geek mode – got that and sport mode out of my system after the initial two weeks with the car – if I am cold or hot I use heated and ventilated seats and a/c for top up if required – I defrost and pre heat car whilst it is plugged in – it is both quick and efficient. I’m sure there are things I have forgotten to mention – but if you are new to your car – please feel free to ask – there are many generous people on this forum with better knowledge than me – Enjoy
I remeber the salesman saying “you’ll love the car its so fast. I have used sports mode a couple of times. I love the car as its practical, good to drive and above all efficient. Even in this early spring weather and temperatures, efficiency is up to almost 5 miles per kWh, without really trying, with 7 seen on some short journeys into town.
I believe this is the law on the public highway. The badge needs to be displayed as proof of parking entitlement.
March 18, 2023 at 6:32 pm in reply to: The kona electric delivery time thread and general Kona EV discussion #215614Serendipity or what
. Spoke to the Hyundai dealer and the car originally ordered for me back in August 22 has just arrived with them! I’ve cancelled my MG4 order, he’s put the Kona Ultimate EV one through with Motability and I’m collecting it on Wednesday next week. Happy days, I’m over the moon!!
Excellent stuff!
