With Q3 upon us and the negotiation team finalising pricing, keep your ear to the ground, push dealers for info etc, a lot of dealers will be having meetings and discussions and the revised prices pinged to their inboxes, and some updating their websites before the 1st, it won’t be our usual heads up but let’s see what we can find out.
Good Luck

RussI really hope the Tiguan SEL doesn’t go up in price.
I’ve been saving up for it for a year.

martinoBrydo yes it is like Christmas looking forward to getting something not getting and having to settle for the next best thing
June 30, 2020 at 4:09 pm #116720That’s good to hear. Thanks for sharing.
I don’t why I’m nervous. It probably won’t even fit. ??♂️?? I will be remembered for nothing but had great fun doing it ?

ZoeI’ve just been to BMW and ordered the X1 he said that it’s likely the prices are going up although motability are trying to keep them similar due to people not being allowed to order, he said he hasn’t got the new prices but his face said otherwise and it doesn’t look good. Managed to get 10% off extras he wouldn’t go any lower and even asked can he remove VAT on them but no luck
June 30, 2020 at 4:16 pm #116723@June Don’t mention Tiguans!, I had an R-Line on order in February with the £600 discount from JCT600 in Wakefield. As it wasn’t built when my Yeti was written off a couple of weeks ago and I need a car now my local dealer said he had one so cancelled the JCT order. They rang me 2 days later to say they didn’t really have one at all! 🙁
So now instead of the £1149 it would have cost me it’s currently £1749 (if it ever gets here) but I can’t place another Motability order until tomorrow. From what I can find online VW, Seat and Skoda prices are all set to rise tomorrow. Just have to hope it’s not by too much! Jeep, Vauxhall & Toyota have all had models go up by £500 to over £1000.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

Zohaib@bionicrusty I feel the exact same way lol fingers crossed you will fit and I hope everyone gets what they want from Santa tomorrow although I highly doubt it

GordonIts a worry about the price increases, you mentioned Toyota, have you seen the new price list?
June 30, 2020 at 5:10 pm #116737@Zohaib absolutely ??
Or possibly grinch instead. ?
@Gordon no Toyota yet. Here’s what’s listed.? I will be remembered for nothing but had great fun doing it ?

GordonThank you so much, I diddnt think I’d missed the Toyota prices, it was a reference a few posts ago to an increase in Toyota prices so had me concerned! Let’s see how things pan out.
June 30, 2020 at 5:47 pm #116745Does anyone know what time Motability update their prices on the car search etc ?
June 30, 2020 at 6:08 pm #116748
JimThose Vauxhall prices are extremely scary god knows what like the others will be, Is this the end of the road for Motability unless we all buy Smart cars?
June 30, 2020 at 6:42 pm #116749I’m expecting above average price increases apart from 1 or 2 exceptions.
But on the plus side, I’m also expecting more dealer offers & flash sale type deals that will come & go, the latter being more flexible & being able to react more quickly to economic supply & demand than being tied into a manufacturer price fix with motability until Q4 price is updated.

AlanAfter test driving the Toyota Corolla Touring Sports Hybrid Excel I placed my order today as the salesman couldn’t get any news on price changes. If the AP comes down then I’ll cancel and re-order. If it goes up then no problems. A win, win situation.
It’s a great car to drive and being a Hybrid it will save me money on fuel compared to my Alhambra. Delivery in 11 weeks time at the end of my current lease.

Lord MucMuadip
It would nice to think that motobility have some magical formula for APs, but I think it’s just a case, of asking a brand how much they want, double it, then run it up the flagpole, and see who salutes it.
June 30, 2020 at 7:25 pm #116755Does anyone know what time Motability update their prices on the car search etc ?
it should be midnight but its normally a no show untill around 6am and then it keeps updating and changing for the next week or so until it finally matches up with manufactures, the first couple of days can be confusing but Jamesg has a new pen and ready to roll
June 30, 2020 at 7:26 pm #116757There is no sense at all lately with AP’s on the scheme and certainly either Motability are raking the money in or being very poor in their negotiations.
New car prices have plummeted massively since the dealers have reopened.

BrydoStrange you should say that Elliot I was wondering if motability were taking this covid opportunity to squeeze the manufacturers and milk us dry.
Call me a cynic but I wouldn’t put it past them.
June 30, 2020 at 8:24 pm #116770Kia x-ceed PHEV added. £2649 AP
I don’t say this lightly- ‘brace yourself – turbulence ahead’

StavHopefully the niro ev makes it on with it differant battery sizes . Hint hint if you have access to kia’s q3.
June 30, 2020 at 8:51 pm #116775Just that tomorrow is going to be a turbulent pricing day. Average AP is increasing quarter on quarter. The COVID break gave us hope that there would be a few deals kicking around, sadly it’s going the other way, up and up and up. Motability are doing their best, but £62.25 per week and a 7-11% discount (plus 20% vat) is not enough to cope with the rising Retail costs of these tech laden vastly overpriced new cars.

No Niro EV but the PHEV can be yours for £2.3k!!!

StavOuchers, that was less than £1000 not so long ago .Also it was about 3500 in the past I think.
Right so that was the bad news…and the good news is ?
June 30, 2020 at 9:03 pm #116781good news is Darcia continues to support Motability
