With Q3 upon us and the negotiation team finalising pricing, keep your ear to the ground, push dealers for info etc, a lot of dealers will be having meetings and discussions and the revised prices pinged to their inboxes, and some updating their websites before the 1st, it won’t be our usual heads up but let’s see what we can find out.
Good Luck

£3399 for a CLA 200 is ridiculous.
June 29, 2020 at 5:23 pm #116531
Matt LloydLooks like the best value Merc is the B200 AMG Line Premium Plus at £2349. A lot of car for a reasonable AP.
June 29, 2020 at 5:46 pm #116538Sorry Matt, but when did a AP of £2349 become a reasonable Motability AP.?….. just my opinion

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
June 29, 2020 at 5:49 pm #116544Come on @WMC give us a heads up on the BMW prices.
I wish I could – The 3 series M-Sport 320d would really put the cat up your pigeons!
June 29, 2020 at 5:55 pm #116546Is that model really on @WMC.

AnonymousI’m in a bit of a dilemma, my order for a CLA 180 AMG Premium that I placed in January has somehow been deleted of Mercedes build list since lockdown so I’ve got to reorder it ( I know very strange). Apparently I will still get the q2 price as I’ve had the confirmation and pin from Motability. Do I totally walk away from the Mercedes garage and order a BMW 218 Msport Grand Coupe or stick with it, I feel totally let down, they only told me this last Wednesday. While I appreciate things have been totally unprecedented during the last 3 months surely in this day and age someone keeps a check on stock and orders coming and going even if its remotely from home.

Alan StephensCome on @WMC, even a hint on the BMW 218i Gran coupe AP? Having looked at everything from Audi and the CLA/A Class it’s streets ahead and we are crossing our fingers it stays the same or only goes up slightly. A
June 29, 2020 at 7:31 pm #116569I don’t have the bmw prices, I’m trying all I can. Honestly.

Alan Stephens@WMC Thank you…waiting with baited breath on news of the BMW prices, hopefully they dont arse about and price it out of the reach of most folk..might be the cost of a sale to Mercedes for a saloon!

i managed to see the car that you are interested in, it looks fantastic. The colour you spoke of was Scorched orange and was a model called orange edition. The sales person was new to Toyota and wasn’t sure that it was still available and thought it was a limited edition. That would have been my choice of colour. Let’s hope that Wednesday won’t be a disappointment with the Toyota prices.

It’s all relative. When I got my first car on Motability (an L reg Astra) I couldn’t afford any AP however as I get older I am now able to afford a significant AP. On my currently Motability car I paid £4500 AP (which included a load of extras).

Joanna LynleyBoth Clive and I are very keen to see the BMW pricing as we are due on 17th August to order.
As WMC are aware we have a Ford Focus ST Line at the moment, and Clive finds the lack of lumbar support a real chore. This coupled with endless issues with the car and extremely poor fuel economy (average of 34.6 over 8,000 miles) has made us look elsewhere.
We looked at the VW Golf, much more comfortable than the Ford but did not like the layout of the digital screens.
Then on to Mercedes Benz of Newcastle, test drove the new a class both 5 door and saloon at length and found the saloon is much more refined, far quieter with much less wind noise due to the shape and my Clive found that the blind spot in the rear is nowhere near as bas as the 5 door hatch. At £1499 for the a200 amg saloon we were pleased and content as it is a far smarter option than the Golf and Focus equivalents. We then went to Newcastle Audi to look at the new a3 (bloody awful inside, all touch sensitive and too high tech..motab guy said prices will be telephone figures also!
Now the real dilemma when we called into LLOYD BMW, Newcastle. The 2 series gran coupe is absolutely gorgeous, especially in Snapper Rocks Blue. Spoke to the salesman (no motab available) who said that even the standard sport is well equipped. We had a BRIEF drive in a 218i sport which frankly puts the ford to shame, and is a far superior car both to sit in, and drive than the A Class. Engine again seemed as perky as the a200 petrol, and the average mpg was showing 44.6! Seems a win win…the standard equipment even on the Sport level is far more generous than the AMG line mercedes, so I can only hope the £999 stays firm, or a slight price increase.
Come on BMW..enough of the waiting game!! Jo & Clive

Jan Atkinson-CarrSnapper Rocks Blue seems to be a popular choice here!
Hope BMW don’t price me out and therefore have to cancel.
June 29, 2020 at 9:14 pm #116594
Nathan SpeersAgree with Joanna on the Focus, we have been majorly disappointed with the interior quality of ours.
We are due to order 29th but my wife is stuck out in Spain..so it will fall into Q3.
Hoping that VW Prices for the T Roc R line are semi reasonable, we looked at the Grandland X but its too big and the T-Roc is much sportier looking/nicer inside.
Would love to see the New A3 Saloon on the scheme Q3 but bob hope and no hope of that!
June 29, 2020 at 9:19 pm #116598
Eleanor MeenahanJan the Snapper Rocks blue is lovely, I completely agree! We ordered our 218i gran coupe automatic this morning. Misano Blue with Oyster leather, and got £500 off the £1,999 AP from Halliwell Jones in Wilmslow taking us to £1,499. Almost went for the Sport as its also stunning but my husband wanted the Misano Blue. Even the little 1 series looks great in that colour! Far nicer car than our current A3 Sport. Fingers crossed yours all works out!!

Clipped wingsMB small petrol is from Renault and has torsion beam rear suspension. Makes those prices seem a little steep, IMHO
June 29, 2020 at 9:28 pm #116603
Eleanor Meenahan99.9% Of the motability customers are unlikely to care if their car has a torsion beam rear suspension or not, and it certainly hasnt hindered Mercedes sales (esp motability). As far as the looks and interior go, you’re hard pushed to beat the new A Class other than what we saw in the new 1 series and 2 series gran coupe.
June 29, 2020 at 9:29 pm #116604Gordon thankyou for asking at the dealer the orange Chr was the old advert yes special edition the new advert is the one I meant I’ve found the colour satin grey looks fab
June 29, 2020 at 9:35 pm #116606
Bruce Wayne60FIX OR REPAIR DAILY = 2 more customers waiting patiently on the Q3 VW prices after early terminating our FOCUS ST Line X. How can ford keep churning out cars with such appalling interior quality and crappy fuel consumption. Heres hoping the VW Golf R Line or Audi a3 make an appearance in Q3
June 29, 2020 at 9:42 pm #116608
Lynette FranceyHoping we’ll wake up on Wednesday and all of the prices have been a joke!
Are Vauxhall taking the p***. £2,549 for an ASTRA VX Line which was old hat 18 months ago.
Sad state of affairs when anyone pays over double the price of an A200 or 118i for an Astra which has all the charm of a night in A&E….this coming from a current Insignia Owner!
