Hi everyone, I was wondering what your wait times are for your car orders. I ordered a Ford Kuga St Line X Auto Diesel on Sept 21 and haven’t received a build date yet. Was told by dealer it’d be March/April 22 which I’m hopeful it will not be any longer than that. Very hesitant to cancel the order due to current wait times and the fact that Ford has discontinued the Diesel engine (which was the only Kuga available for under 25s at Q4).

Ordered Astra ultimate in may still no build date and dealer stopped texting me to update.
Ordered my Honda HRV in February and pick it up tomorrow 31/10/22 so almost 9 months wait .
Ordered kia sportage gts hybrid on the 4th of April…still waiting and no build date, getting to the point now where I’m thinking of canceling and just walking into dealerships and see what they got in stock that they can do for motability.
Hi anyone waiting for a Kuga if so how long we’ve mean 6 months now no build date
13 months now been told possibly be built in april 2023?
Ordered Focus Estate diesel in Feb, picked it up last week.
Ordered 13th July 2022 Ssangyong korando and it’s due in at dealership this week and should be picking up one day next week (about 4 months total)
ordered my Citroen Spacetourer Nov 2021. Was given a build date of July 2022 which has come and gone. It’s now Nov 2022 and no sign of a build date

I’ve had 3 delivery dates and now I’ve been told that they haven’t got any date on the order it just says order placed at build factory
lts not good has I had to select a different colour because they have stopped doing the one I ordered that was February 22 so I’m hoping that nothing else changes before I get it or it could be unsuitable for my needs
Advised today Skoda Kamiq Se Drive Manual :- Min 22wks, Auto 29 wks, SE-L 52 wks, Monte Carlo 29 wks.

Renault AustralOrdered a Golf GTE with winter pack, reverse camera and HUD (plus some non-electricals) in November 2021.
Went into production two weeks ago, but with christmas etc looming, we’ll probably be looking at end of february/march for delivery.
At that point we then waited around 16 months from order to delivery.

My Tiguan order hit the 14 month waiting spot last Wednesday but told the car has been built and is on its way.
They said there is a good possibility of getting the car this month but with just next week and the few days between Christmas and the New Year time is running out for December delivery.
I got my fingers crossed for next week and thought that maybe the dealer was delaying my order just another week so they can invite me to the dealership’s Christmas party while they unwrap my new car as the centre piece of the party. ?

Fingers crossed – heavily depends on the port, most likely. It could sit up to 3-4 weeks (or more over the holidays) in Grimsby, not sure about Tyne or Sheerness.
Good to see that at least some VWs make it to the customers.. i’ll get there, eventually.

Next: we'll see what's available in 2028.Ordered a vw Tiguan automatic 2.0 r line back in June 21. I am still waiting and being told possible March 23. My friend who ordered the same example, ordered his in Oct 21, being a cash buyer got his in August this year (22). Spoke to vw and they couldn’t confirm but suggested it was because he was a cash buyer. How is that fair?

The order in how they are being built is likened to a tombola and its how lucky you are to have your number picked regardless of how long ago you ordered or what engine, gearbox, lights, electric tail lift etc. you have ordered.
This applies to both Motability and other leasing companies though it does seem odd that dealers often have new Tiguan’s on offer for immediate delivery and can only think that these are cancelled orders.

Ordered a Mokka e up on 20th January 2022 and was given a provisional date of May 2022. Paperwork from motability gave a date of 6 July2022. On 17th June order had to be changed due to the specs I wanted no longer being made. In October contacted dealership and was told delay was then 6-8 months. Am still waiting and no date confirmed yet. Am hearing could be upto a year from now. Yet they have them in stock.
Ordered a Mazda CX 5 on November 16th and it was ready for collection on 8th December. Unfortunately when I went to collect it we discovered it was a manual
The dealer couldn’t have been more apologetic or helpful and he re ordered a replacement in auto and sorted paperwork with Motability. The new car is due in 5th January and he gave us a Mazda 3 demonstrator to keep us mobile until the new car arrives.

Mokka E currently has a build month of July. If you went for the Ultimate spec that’s August.

Ordered a Hyundai Kona electric July 2022, last contact with dealer they estimated February.
