WhitneyHi everyone, I was wondering what your wait times are for your car orders. I ordered a Ford Kuga St Line X Auto Diesel on Sept 21 and haven’t received a build date yet. Was told by dealer it’d be March/April 22 which I’m hopeful it will not be any longer than that. Very hesitant to cancel the order due to current wait times and the fact that Ford has discontinued the Diesel engine (which was the only Kuga available for under 25s at Q4).

rose skernOrdered my Vauxhall MOKKA automatic on 8th April 2022, was told October then December, last week told don’t know. I am annoyed as when ordered there was £445 upfront payment, but that’s now been dropped for new orders. I still have to pay when I eventually get mine

January 27, 2023 at 3:47 pm #207590My dealer told me last October my car had been built and might have it by the end of December, December came and went and the dealer said two weeks ago I will get it by the end of January and with less than a week to February that’s looking a bit unlikely too.
I just wished they’d be a bit more precise as normally I fill the car with fuel twice during the Winter months but being so close to delivery I’m only putting a few quids worth in at a time as you can guarantee if I fill it up I would get the call to collect the very next day but suppose its good practice for when I’m forced to go all electric in the future.
January 27, 2023 at 3:52 pm #207592@rose skern if the ap has gone down your dealer can change the order to the lower amount easily and it doesnt affect the order with vauxhall its pureley an admin thing. assuming the same car is available now as when you ordered.

Robin HillMay need to create a new post but those who have finally received their vehicles … were they delivered as per the ordered equipment specification or was anything missing?
January 28, 2023 at 12:07 pm #207640Hi Robin
What I can make of it private lease hire customers who have taken delivery of the VW Tiguan’s have all been as specified.
What VW did to help through the shortages apart from increasing delivery times was to drop some of the optional extra add-on’s and when they changed from My22 to My23 they never added or took anything away other than increasing the power to the USB ports in My23.

January 29, 2023 at 4:23 pm #207741Yes my wife has had same message , Must be same delivery. She ordered 2008.
January 29, 2023 at 5:23 pm #207749
LeeMines a 2008 aswell, but mine was one already in compound as it was an unnasigned one,so my dealer requested it as saves waiting potentially 6 months plus from factory.

RachelI’ve been waiting 6 days short of a year for the Vauxhall Mokka. Every time I ring up for an update I get told “the system is down, I’ll call you next week”….they never do!
Just noticed on the motability site it has been updated and says 4-6 month wait. Its becoming a nightmare.

LeeBit of an update
I rang peugeot who asked me to ring gefco and they said my dealer hadn’t specified if they want gefco to do the pdi or my dealership so that’s why my cars in limbo,so I’ve rang dealer and asked him to sort it out because if I can find that out then so could he.I could of been waiting bloody ages and never have known.
January 31, 2023 at 2:53 pm #208019Another update here as well.
Ordered Nov 2021, and is now finally “in transit to the dealership”. So it’s on the truck. Don’t have a handover date just yet, but my guess would be that it can’t take longer than a week or two.

Ann whyteHi I ordered my car in April last year every new date I get to pick my car up Ford put it back another month, I’m just off the phone to them 30 minutes ago as I was ment to pick it up tomorrow and now the same old story it’s been put back till the 14 February so angry ???
February 3, 2023 at 10:54 am #208316Hi can some of you guys name the Make and model of car you have been waiting for as we know some makes and dealers are better than others.
February 3, 2023 at 11:13 am #208317@Ann whyte
Much the same here Ann, ordered mid October 2021, the year before last I have to say because I have to remind myself it is the year before last and not last year.
Anyway I digress, had a phone call in mid October 22, that’s last year, saying the cars been built so 1 year almost to the day to get the car built. Now here we are over yet another 3 months passed and still no car. I asked the dealer the first week of this year where the car is as they said it’s been built only to be told they haven’t actually seen the car but should be with me by the end of January, that’s this year just in case your losing track like me and here we are in February.
Although the waiting is a pita its being told the car is more or less almost here but not arriving but honest its almost here by the end of December, January or February.
Just tell the truth that’s all we need to hear though that’s easy for me to say already having a suitable car but I hate the not knowing that is worst than the waiting.

February 3, 2023 at 2:58 pm #208337Just an update after writing my piece above this morning and it starting to play on my nerves.
I wrote an e-mail to my dealer saying that I’m truly peeved off with the lack of location of my car or even if it exists as for all I know it could still be in the spare bits box at Wolfsburg.
They came back to me within minutes to tell I will be driving the car within the next two weeks for sure.
Fingers crossed its for sure this time.

Fingers crossed for sure, as a fellow VW “victim” i can relate.
If everything goes well, we’ll be driving our GTE off the dealership next week too. I think our header in the email conversation tells it all, lol.

Danielle certainly earned her wage with us lol.
