yes macca its a solid colour and yes the grey is pale, but it works so well, like you say with the black trim and baging.ive got a feeling it wont be on the list too long but who nows.hope there will be more sportline’s in the future.
I took the plunge today and ordered the 4×4 tsi sport line in grey, looks the part.made an appointment but the disability sales man past me on to another rep and his first words was you won’t get any sport line on Motability.it went down hill from here but I was adamant on getting this car ordered.as me and the misses are both in wheelchairs, we decided to try an suv for another option of car as we usually drive estates but there becoming less choice these days.was origanly going to try the Kodiaq but its huge, cant see the wife getting in it so the koroq seemed the perfect choice.exsspensive but there was no options missing and told me if I wait till September I would get the new reg.seems like things are starting to get better.cancelled the 308 estate last week, things missing, big deposit, too small inside.so I had a big smile on the inside today ordering this.not had that feeling in a long time.so if anyone is thinking of getting one its a nice car.it doesn’t have remote seats but to be honest I find the too slow when getting in and out.comes with panoramic sunroof and remote boot.fingers crossed it turns up in September.
Johnsnow95 you do not have to pay for the paint unless it a special colour which is the most expensive on the list.I ordered mine in Alford Kent and the lady salesperson explained it was no charge, they did try to mess me about with the steering ball, wanted me to have the Logitech Which is an extra £50 + £50 for the hand controls.I went with the cowl push and pull.they said at first the remote boot would be missing and for me that was something I’ve wanted on a car in a long time so was thinking of cancelling, then told me it was a mistake,it will be on the car.I also asked if there going to reduce my deposit for the missing 3d cluster and Wi-Fi charger and they said they wouldn’t.I’m not parting with any money or code unless they do.if I was a private customer they would have to.3d cluster is £1,100 option on lesser than gt premium model.Wi-Fi charger I can’t find how much that is.if you don’t ask you don’t get,but don’t give up your number to quick if you haven’t picked up yet.
hi,@johnsnows95.i waiting my self for the same car.its a very good looking car.after seeing yours I’m tempted to change the colour to white,i ordered it in nimbus grey.im wondering was there any standard specs missing.i was told the 3d cluster screen and wifi charger would be missing.and how long did you have to wait.i was told about the end of October so from date of order it will be 6 months.like your self I’m worried it will be too small in the back of the car.both me and my wife are wheelchair users and my wife struggles to get in the back of smaller cars.normally go for bigger estates, but the 306 sw has a huge boot.happy you got your car.
I ordered a 308 sw and was told 31st October and will be missing 3d cluster screen and no wireless phone charger and at first said no remote boot, after we done all the paper work and paid the deposit.then told me I will still have to pay full deposit.when I said remote boot was an option I really need, being in a wheelchair it was hard to close the boot and might cancel the order, they then said it was a mistake.it was missing on 508 sw.but the remote boot is £850 option so would definitely would need to change the deposit price.its not fair to pay for standard option that are missing.if they are missing what would Motability do?let you cancel or reduce the deposit.if I was a private customer they would have deduct the price of the options.i think its fair the same applies to Motability customers.i would be gutted to cancel as my pip assessment is due soon and need 12 mothes of pip before I can make a new order plus the £250 bonus for ordering this years helps a lot.
ive had a love hate relationship with mobility, joined in 1988.most part was its been ok.but got removed from the scheme once for wheelchair damage on the back of my car seat, got a big fine to replace the whole thing.deposits going up and down when ordered.dealers charging me extra on hand controls while they waited with the car so they say.and now there is not one suitable car on the scheme for me and family.i have a mondeo estate and need the larger estate for two wheelchairs.mine and the wife,so tempted to just come off the scheme as my pip re-assessment is due when I’m supposed to renew my next lease.first time mobility would not let me get a car till it was all sorted out, which took over 12 months.but at the moment second hand car prices are sky high.and so are ap on most cars on the scheme which I really can’t see changing, and now mobility are starting to charge for basic push and pull hand controls.i do think things will get better psuader but like you say not for a long time.and I’m not really being sold on the whole electric thing.takes less than 5 mins to fill a full tank.i think the scheme and motabilty relationship with dealers needs changing.yesterday I read on mobility twitter from Audi that its mobility that are in control of what’s available on the list.but I can’t help but think is the grass greener on the other side.
did they mention which cars Dave.seems strange to just add cars before the next qtr then take them off before the next qtr?
ive not seen any changes at all’so that’s wrong information.is that what a dealer told you.
your missing one thing Brydo, its not on Motability and from a tweet I read by motability its not going on the scheme any time soon.
there are free hand controls like bigdave has pointed out but I’m not sure about them, ive used the same ones for over 30 years now.its not that the £50 is a big asking price.its just more to pay out on top of huge deposits.mobility change the rules as and when it suits them.
February 4, 2022 at 9:56 am in reply to: £250 Payment Towards The Cost Of All Customers Next Lease #176071I think there should be a like button on this forum to highlight people’s opinions so we can see what matters to people without having to write something because sometime its hard to put into words what we think.like I personally think everything glos guy says is absolutely relevant to how Motability is at the moment.not sure who the moderator’s are but I think it would be worth considering.
wow this is such a relief to see this back on the scheme and a amazing price, due to change soon.thanks for the post.
I see your point bigdave.think I will browse the auto trader.
I don’t comment that often here but Ive read lots of comment about the good and bad of Motability.its a great scheme and a life line for the disabled but things are getting very worrying for me and my wife who are both wheelchair users.my problem is I don’t think Motability show these dealers that the cars need to cater for lots of different disabilities.we drive estate cars’ so its easy for me to put my wife’s chair in the boot.i usually go for the larger estate, mondeo, passat, skoda superb size but the deposit is sky high and now the mondeo is no longer, my options are Skoda or Passat if there even on the price list.and now I really have no idea what to do other than try going for something much smaller as suv’s are impossible to get in.getting a second hand car seems to be the next option but having hand controls make it a difficult choice.and everything going electric the options of cars is the suv’s seems to be a popular choice but not for us.i think the price cap and bhp cap need to change to offer more choice for everyone.and stuff the daily mail.
i got lucky, ordered a ford mondeo and the dealer said 6 weeks and i was gob smacked when it arrived on time.from experience and what people say on here it seems to be the vag cars that are taking 6 months.
July 19, 2019 at 12:49 am in reply to: Should certain extras be standard on a new motability vehicle? #82943Chrisk when I ordered my last car I ordered it with cowl hand controls and the adaptation firm added logsons remote for free for the indicators switch and horn.if you had 5-7 options the price went up.for me I just needed an indicator switch on my hand control so I had the option of the remote removed.when talking with Motability they it’s free so why not keep it.i just wanted what I was used too.
July 18, 2019 at 1:00 am in reply to: Should certain extras be standard on a new motability vehicle? #82858As a wheelchair user I would like the option of a remote tailgate.just ordered a mondeo estate and could not have the remote boot as it’s tied in with led light option which would cost £1200.so now again have to use a boot strap.motability are offering remote for free which works horn, indicator for free so I can’t understand why this can’t be classed as an adaptation at a reduced cost.
2015 ford Mondeo estate 240 bhp auto petrol does 24-27 & 32-36 on the motor way.
I wonder how the police stingers would work when all cars fitted with these tyres.
Today has been a good day,Motability had to do a manual cancellation and the mondeo came back on the list plus I got my deposit back in full with no charges.ordered a new mondeo in a heartbeat.but my advice to anyone is don’t go to a dealer unless you know 100% what you want, don’t order anything.speak with Motability first.and never part with any money.now fingers crossed 8 weeks till delivery.
May 27, 2019 at 1:53 pm in reply to: Twice now I have said to dealers there's a new version of this car….. #77950I’m going throughout the same thing, asked about the Skoda facelift and told its available for order and turns they just lied and now stuck between Motability and the dealers lies.they just want a sale when it suits them even though your paying for it lol.
Hi,landyman.the sales rep said it’s the 2020 facelift and not 2019 trying to be smart.thanks for info I will use it if I have too.
I hope so trev,to be honest I don’t no what I was thinking going else where.im 47 and grew up with fords.my dad had fords.i didn’t no what to why the mondeo was taken off the scheme with all of these changes Ford are making.i should of gone back to the focus estate as it a bit bigger now.ive noticed on the mobility website that the mondeo shows up when you search for fords.im thinking of the st-line awd edition.ive got the 240 titanium at the moment.getting test drives is something I miss out on due to hand-controls.i really hope they give me my money back.they never asked for it but I offered due to options.i will let you no tomorrow.
Just an update,I went to the dealership today and asked for it to be cancelled and the bottom line of why he ordered the non-facelift version was because how long it would be before it’s out,not his problem really.motability are helping me with chasing up the cancellation but can’t help me getting my deposit back.i asked the salesman and he said I could have back when the car is cancelled so fingers crossed he does.
Hi,vinalspin 1st love the tag name.thanks for the information, appreciated.i just hope the garage does not try to refuse to cancel the order to make it difficult, but fingers crossed.im definitely going with ford as I’ve had a long stress free 16 years.
