Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoistthanks both.. i wasnt sure if it was allowed. car has very low miles thanks to being locked up here with covid. i paid a decent up front on it and it has a hoist in boot too. way things are going up here, and the lack of availability(for instance i see mitzabushi have removed all models bar one small one due to lack of cars). Sure in 6/8 months things may well be better so thats good you can change when you wish..
Thanks both again

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoistThe infotainment system on my CHR is terrible tbh. slow as treacle in winter; pad is often unresponsive. bluetooth takes an age too. its the older 68 model and its supposedly a little better now, but my sister in law has a x3 (not on the scheme) as she used money to buy it and its excellent. One of reasons im interested in the X1

Im not really able to wear masks up til now as ive now found a gadget that pushes the mask away from mouth etc (a cage) and im gett better at trying it. by time i get fully protected im hoping i will be able to use it for short periods. Still get out in car by by self.

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoistbest ive managed is over 90mpg but over a short 7 mile journey heading west with a slight wind assist and also very slightly down hill mostly. it was nearer 60 on return trip showing how much these 2 factors alter the mpg, and yes, i was driving like great grandpa.
On average i get about 57mpg i guess bar winter when its a fair bit lower; maybe as low as 49 depending on whats all on in car. Toyota C-HR Hybrid 1-8.
Still its not too bad and apart from me there is my scooter and hoist in car.

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoistalas i read something on these delays a few days ago and it said an awful lot of people will have to stop driving until they get licences back. some folk have been waiting months. a disgrace tbh, but its typical dvla i way they treat staff, and why they are taking action.

is a good price at £1349. and with the big battery and good kit. For price of car its exceeding cheap(dunno if its a misprint) I would deffo consider it if i could get into it

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoistdisappointed the x1 doesn’t have auto handbrake. i find that very usefull and labour saving; same goes for a reverse camera.
the one thing i like about the Toyota is its level of kit. still i will continue to see if i can find something suitible or ask for another year on the car i have. much depends on covid tbh as ive still not had my second jab thanks to nhs scotland cocking the whole thing up. thanks very much nicola

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoistafaik, thats pretty much the case. or its supposed to be. The 12v battery fires the relays and runs the 12v system like lights etc. the traction battery has an invertor and refills the 12v. But when its not used for several days it seems to go wonky on occasion. Ive lost 4 batteries. all were fine and next time i went out and were suddenly below 4v and according to rac gadgets, unlikely to charge.
Toyota have had a lot of issues but they are not interested and just say you left it off too long.
God help anyone who goes away for 2 or 3 weeks holiday lol

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoistToyota C-HR. late 2018, second top version(forgot name). 1800cc hybrid. Pearl white.
This overall has been a good car bar the small car battery that keeps packing in(think im on to number 5 now). It has pretty much all the bells and whistles and works very well. Many dislike the cvt but once you get used to it it works fine, especially in sport mode where its decently nippy for such a heavy car.
Fuel economy is very good and i average about 57mpg except in winter where it goes down to near 50. It is big enough in rear to hold a hoist and a scooter too, although one seat needs folded.
In fact i will be changing this around december and am still wondering what i will get next. size is important especially seat height and door height as i dont flex well lol.
List of possibles come from Skoda, BMW, Peugeot,MG, Audi and Hyundai at moment. Probably not an electric as the charging places are few still.
Anyway, back to the C-HR, This is a very good car and worth considering; styling is of course dependent on your likes etc but i find it nice; rear view can scare folk a little initially but i have to say ive not had any issues and the safety kit on it is superb.
