read this earlier re chips.
When will the microchip shortage end?
It doesn’t look as though the shortage of microchips is going to end anytime soon, and almost certainly not in 2021. Infineon has suggested as many as 2.5 million cars could be delayed in the first half of this year, with other estimates of 5 million for 2021 as a whole.Ford itself has said it expects the production of 1 million of its own cars to be hit by the shortage.
so its gonna take an age; maybe next time the car companies wont just stop ordering them in a crisis

Temperature peaked at about24C with a pleasant breeze. Did some slow lawn mowering, punctuated with idleness in garden seat enjoying the pleasantness and watching spectacular baby thunderclouds wandering down from the north. No thunder, no rain, just views to make Joe Turner jealous.
if thats big joe turner, ive a few of his albums…. great shouter

So when its available i will double check but leave it for a couple of months probably to get the issues ironed out. Ive 2 fairly powerful zbooks and i think both will be ok. certainly this one is.
thanks

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoistI use these day mostly audio books, especially in car(off my phone) and currently on flashman and the redskins. Although not politically correct these days, i dont care as they were set in victorian times and thus are fair game.
But i have a lot of audio books(from audible) and enjoy them.

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoisti think getting an ev, for me anyway, is going to be too much effort, worry etc and going to put me off getting another car. its not the fact it runs on electric, although i do have to say i prefer the sound of petrol, but the issues of getting a charger, changing power companies to get a decent deal, finding working charge points that i ca use if on a run etc.. not to mention the fact that up here in winter its damn cold for a long time and your range will be drastically affected.
I will stay i think with petroleum. Im sure my small mileage wont kill planet and all my home energy is green..
and for the govt, most of the greenhouse emissions come from gas boilers in houses. fix that and you dont have to be silly about banning petrol cars.
rant over .lol sorry

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoistas i say the highways act could be used by councils, but they obviously would need to have the will to do so.
things like Disturbance of surface of certain highways, and penalty for placing rope, etc. across highway.
There will no doubt be plenty more, but if they are not too bothered and your not then it looks like you will mostly get away with it.

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoistyeah well councils themselves have the highway act to fall bck on and can use to stop things like that. and yes as there is bare cable areas on a public footpath, if a kid was playing with it and got electrocuted the person responsible would potentially be in court i’d presume. Possibly the council too if they had given permission, hence why most wouldnt when its like that picture. Legally here your not allowed homemade ramps to cross a kerb either. you HAVE to get kerb lowered at your expense.
Sure some councils will turn a blind eye of course. Adding them to lamposts is the logical way to do this as they are all over most streets

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoisti would say by legal i dont mean national criminal laws. just council ones.

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoistno have to say i didnt but leaving live cables like that permenantly is unlikely to be acceptable .. i mean the shock risk is high. Of course some countries councils may differ, im pretty sure mine would have a fit

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoistPetrol cars are fairly clean now, and economical too in general. Add a small battery pack and economy is much better. I read that in states my car without the hybrid gets what they call good mileage at about 30mpg.. mine gets over 50, sometimes 60.
All these big battery packs they are using now, well even with recycling we will run out of raw materials soon so, and damage the planet tboot. Newer batteries my be the way forward.. solid state(whatever they are) etc.
Make more hybrids and you will spin out the materials further, and improve the whole pollution thig too

Also although i only mostly drive local i like to go down to N Wales and thats further than a charge in most. Also as im in rented accomedation im not sure if they will accept a box.

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoistI heard in Scotland you might be able to add to your pip award with some of your esa if you get it to afford a better car etc. Not sure yet but its to do with devolved Govt taking over the disability systems in their countries.
But yes its an issue for me to afford a bigger car as my mobility requires one, plus adding an auto box knocks price up again. I can drive a manual but that hip is very poor and not sure i would be able to do it for a longish time.
You would think motability and tbh the govt would insist on vehicles like this be on scheme at reasonable ap

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoistmost current windshields reduce light by at least 20% so any tinting added will almost certainly break law as it has to have 75% light pass.
As said above if you have an accident and its found you were driving an ‘illegal’ vehicle then they wont pay out(if at all possible). Also cops, certainly up here test most cars the stop if they think its tinted

Last Car: Toyota C-HR Excel Hybrid...4 way 80kg hoistthink it’ll also depend on what they want to push sell. the id4 will likely sell well in private buyers etc so bump the id3 out at the cheaper rate/ sell the id4 at higher rate until they sell their backlog.
