Ive noticed a problem with the original thread, taking me to page 1 of the thread. Assuming its the same problem as my original Brexit thread (stolen by WMC lol) that there were too many pages, i have started another weather thread (stolen from lightbodyae55 lol).
The only person who got all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe.
Anything i post over three lines long please assume it is an article lol. - CreatorTopic

GeorgieHorribly muggy this morning, but now it’s cooled off and it can’t quite bring itself to rain. The cloud is just sitting there like a stalled whale.
Currently enjoying a nice cup of Earl Grey and contemplating 1 minute chord changes: ‘C – D’ and ‘C – Dm’, followed by a bit of strumming and the riff from ‘Come as you are’. Trouble is the effects of going out on Monday have kicked in (always takes 48 hours) and I feel a bit knackered.

GeorgieVery nice start to the day – light cloud with sunny interludes. Having finished doing the laundry there’s not much going on outside or inside at the moment, which is making me feel sleepy.
Tum-ti-tum.
Think I’d better find something to do . . .
July 8, 2021 at 9:55 am #157750Grey. Very grey. No sign of sun-thing. Temperature at 18C. Hmmm…
Why not have a cup of Caoofe while finding something to do?
Think we should try to get the word into the language, like scrotnig.
July 8, 2021 at 1:26 pm #157790
Georgie‘Caoofe’ – makes me think of trendy faux drinking chocolate made from carob. On the other hand ‘scrotnig’ is a rather nasty disease of sheep, possibly involving mites. (Knowing sheep, it probably is a disease of sheep. There are so many, who can remember them all?)
Still low on energy. Made bacon and mushrooms-fried-in-the-bacon-fat on toast for lunch and jolly tasty it was, too. Certainly not something to have on a weekly basis, but a nice occasional meal. But the energy boost has already worn off and now I’m tired again. Time for a bit of The Burning Man, me thinks.

ajn?? 22* afternoon, hope your nights sleep arrives soon @Joss, knew mine wasn’t to far away when I spilt my
Caoofe
my jeans yesterday on a micro sleep ?first sleep through, well it’s been a while..
July 8, 2021 at 3:37 pm #157800That bacon/mushroom concoction sounds divine. Shall copy it for brunch tomorrow! All done in ancient cast iron frypan which makes everything taste better.
Scrotnig is not a sheep disorder. Like Caoofe, scrotnig originated as a typing error. Early days of a certain comic, one of the scripts has a scene description which read: “Bill scrotnig captive across plain”. Took us ages to work out that it should have read “Bill escorting etc…” We thought it was such a good word and must not be allowed to go to waste. So started to use it in other stories as a generic word of praise, as in, “I say, what a scrotnig idea, Dredd” etc. Has since been seen as a graffito on the Berlin wall and has been adopted as name of a typeface.
Weather much better here, now sunny and 21C. Some lawn p.m. I think.

July 11, 2021 at 1:36 pm #158071Cloudy mainly. Nicely hot when sun peeps through. Temperature ranges from 18C to 23C. Rain later according to forecast and I’ve no reason to disbelieve it! Small bit of lawn-mowering planned using the Brunel.

GeorgieCoolish 17c with light cloud and light breeze. What I call ‘Good dog-walking weather’, but not quite sunny enough for driving. Yesterday the forecast said thundery weather for this afternoon, but alas – that fizzled out over night.
Was given a Mushroom Growing kit for my birthday, so set that up in the bedroom yesterday, safely out of the way on top of a bookcase where it’s usually at least 20c. It makes a change from Candle Making and Peculiar – I mean ‘Exotic’ – Teas of the World. 😀

July 12, 2021 at 7:02 pm #158330Heavy rain, however sun forecast for rest of the week.
July 12, 2021 at 7:06 pm #158332
ajnI did see something saying upto 25* by the weekend, wait and see I’d say though..
July 13, 2021 at 9:20 am #158364Yup. Really tipped it down last night. Relatively clear this a.m. and improving. Some 22C temperature forecast for today and that normally means 26+C for us. A day when a chap goes straight for shorts and light shirt on getting up. But only because couldn’t handle anything more complicated after a crap night’s so-called sleep! Have had to go for two cups of really strong caoofe and take the consequences.
Getting much warmer later in week. Now, everyone make sure you concentrate and observe the hot clear weather because these few days of hot and clear seem to be this year’s summer. ??
