Ive noticed a problem with the original thread, taking me to page 1 of the thread. Assuming its the same problem as my original Brexit thread (stolen by WMC lol) that there were too many pages, i have started another weather thread (stolen from lightbodyae55 lol).

31c and sticky.
August 14, 2025 at 9:26 am #311223Better than yesterday, so far. Doing 23C now, sky shows signs of adhering to forecast and clearing of cloud. Reckon it’ll make 25/26C by late lunchtime.
Talking of watching flying stuff from garden, which we were, how about this beastie…

Snapped by Marg a couple of days ago on our Yew bush, this is a Jersey Tiger Moth. It is about 2cm wingspan so quite a large chap, looking larger because of the striking “Vulcan with Art Deco” camouflage colour scheme. Quite rare in mainland UK but observed to be colonizing Dorset and, recently, Sussex. The beast is actually poisonous – picking up toxins from its food which will create a nasty skin reaction in humans fooling enough to handle it.

Things flying in or over the garden, part 2: was buzzed by sparrowhawk this morning, so close I felt the vortex from wings.
August 17, 2025 at 9:34 am #311406Not clear sky, but soon to be by the look of it..
went for a drive yesterday, came across a sea wall, tide in so always keep a short spin baitcaster in the boot, had an hour or so spinning for bass, no fish but great to get fishing from carpark straight over the wall..
Might have another drive later..

Mean while it’s is very over cast and mainly gray skies. Threats of the wet stuff, but managed to avoid it on a quick dash to Asda’s. Temps of 17C out doors.

Met Office says it will not rain and will brighten mid p.m. My Mk 1 Human Eyeball says these clouds coming from the northeast look to be toting a fair bit of water in them. Some of this will probably fall upon us.
August 19, 2025 at 9:41 am #31155215*C and overcast, a bit of a chilly breeze.

August 23, 2025 at 5:32 pm #311721Sun, cloud mix, warm, hardly a breeze ..
August 24, 2025 at 9:02 am #311728Cool cloudy morning, hopefully getting better throughout the morning, might try popping out for a drive..🌤️
August 25, 2025 at 11:06 am #311758Started well fresh – 14C – but has already soared to 23C and we expect a bit more later. Perfectly clear; jolly good summer day. Probably the last for a few days as forecast says rain, cloud and glum misery as one would expect from a normal Brit summer day
August 25, 2025 at 11:25 am #311760August 28, 2025 at 2:32 pm #311885Rain, overcast, cool 16*C 😞

Today started well chilly; 14C at 7am, now clawed its way up to 16C. Much rain; chucked it down most of the night. Nasty, sudden and heavy showers now. Only happy bunny right now is the lawn – looking greener already.
August 29, 2025 at 10:28 am #311943Not great 16c, with intermittant heavy rain for past couple of days.
