It shouldn’t affect your lease, but before you contact the insurance, I would find out exactly what you have been fined for. For example a SP30 which is exceeding a 30mph limit carries a £100 fine (not £65) and three points as does most other speeding offences, but if it’s your first offence and you were only just over they normally offer a speed awareness Course.
Something doesn’t sit right with this – what were the circumstances and what was the offence code?

April 14, 2023 at 11:52 am in reply to: A word of advice on Kia Sportage GPF (Petrol Warning Light) #219153@gilders & @kezo – many thanks for the updates, I was still considering changing to the Sportage after reading @DJP’s comment yesterday, but after reading your posts this morning regarding the other problems you’re having, I think it’s maybe a step too far.
I think it’s probably best to keep our Skoda for the time being in the hope that either Kia find a solution to their problems or something else that’s suitable comes along.
Thanks again

My wife is the main driver and panics if things change and she doesn’t know why, so she is happy to keep the Skoda, as it’s never missed a beat in the time we’ve had it. We’ve extended for two years, so hopefully there’s something comes along soon that will tick all of the boxes. Thanks again

It’s the mild hybrid automatic that went on the scheme last week.
I’ve read through all the posts on this subject and it seem that it’s still an ongoing issue that there may be or not a solution – might be best to look for something different or hang on a while to see if a solution that works comes a long. It’s a pity as the car is pretty well specced and has a reasonable advance payment
April 13, 2023 at 11:21 am in reply to: A word of advice on Kia Sportage GPF (Petrol Warning Light) #218934Hello, first time poster, long time follower
Just a quick question – is it all of the new shape Sportages that are affected with this fault
I’m considering the automatic Sportage GT Line hybrid to replace my Skoda but have only read this post and after a bit hunting around the internet I’m still none the wiser and it’s pointless asking the dealer as they either don’t know or don’t want to tell you and risk losing an order.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
