Hi there ,
I have recently took lease of a mobility car in March this year. I have stupidly been issued with a fixed penalty notice of £65 and three penalty point for excess speed. I will be informing the RSA tomorrow. Its my first speeding/points offence. How will this affect my lease?

It shouldn’t affect your lease, but before you contact the insurance, I would find out exactly what you have been fined for. For example a SP30 which is exceeding a 30mph limit carries a £100 fine (not £65) and three points as does most other speeding offences, but if it’s your first offence and you were only just over they normally offer a speed awareness Course.
Something doesn’t sit right with this – what were the circumstances and what was the offence code?
I think as I’m.based in Northern Ireland the fines and code numbers are different. Excess speed is code 50 08 013. I was clocked 85 in 70mph dual carriage way.
I have been caught a couple of times and each time RSA made a note but it didn’t change anything. I would like to think that insurance companies live in the real world and appreciate people make mistakes occasionally.

I had never had a speeding ticket until I bought my first Corrado….I was done twice in 6 months…lol.
