Great, I’m not cracking up. I knew I’d read it and not dreamt it 🤣
So, presumably there is a procedure for deactivating the cars charging programme ?
May 9, 2024 at 8:44 pm in reply to: Help Please :Can’t get octopus intelligent go for my Enyaq #277165I am unsure and I will probably have very similar problems when my EV comes,
However, I have read somewhere that you have to let either Octopus control your charging schedule or the car (in your case Skoda) I think there may be conflict when potentially both are trying to do the same job.
I may be completely off course here. But I have read about this somewhere.
Sure someone will be along soon to give you some more specific information.
I took will be watching eagerly.
To be fair I haven’t seen or heard any evidence of anyone ordering life or style and getting a Match instead.
I am the polar opposite to you and ordered a Style before VW changed the spec and was keen to get the style. My VW dealer has assured me that all orders for life or style would be built as exactly that. And there was no chance of a Match coming through in lieu of what I ordered.
Again, unlike yourself I was more keen for the panoramic roof hence the style order and if a match came it wouldn’t have it.
My bet would be on you getting the life that you ordered and not a March and the only way of changing it would be to cancel the original order and reorder the Match.
I believe you are within your rights to do this (despite what the dealer may tell you) but you will probably be intl a factory order and a considerable wait again.
I am always suspicious. Maybe Ohme are trying it on. Seems strange that Motability are not pushing the grant application if it reduces their contribution ?
I don’t trust anyone these days.
I wouldnt be at all surprised if the scam is a company piggy backing on a legitimate install and trying to claim grant money that they are not entitled to.
And, to be fair, the government dept. dealing with the grants would probably pay them as well ?
Seems fishy. The application for a charger install is done by the dealer ordering the vehicle.
Then you get contacted by the install company to complete a straight forward survey about your property and subject to that being ok a date is arranged.
No notification of grant eligibility or having to resend details. The supply and install cost is footed by Motability and nothing to do with being eligible for a grant or not.
I would delete it and forget about it.
Hi sagwala123 i went for white no extras when you say out of port do you mean left german port
Yes out of Germany. Week 10.
Red ? Because the dealer had the GTX in the showroom and it looked so good.
White was next option. We’ll see whose car arrives first. Keep us posted and I will likewise. Dealer told me that it should be the first 2024 style that will have had delivered.
Mine must be side by side with yours then. Because exactly same. Week 10 build date, out of port 3 weeks ago, and that’s the last update I had. So guessing must be exactly the same.
What colour did you have ?
So, slept on it. Pro’d and con’d and decided to stick with the ID4
Although the AP is very low for the car it will still be circa 1500 extra to put down against the ID4 for the model I would want.
I did the right thing and went straight to the VW dealer after driving the Ioniq and viewed and sat in the model ID4 with the same colour combo etc. and I was not disappointed or underwhelmed.
So sticking with our original order and delivery this month. Had the Ioniq come on last quarter at the APs in is in Q2 I think there would be one on the drive, but all things considered sticking with VW.
Few things with the Ioniq ….. No rear wiper, seats although comfortable are not quite as ‘hug’ comfortable as ID4 and just couldn’t settle on a colour combo that I liked with the Ioniq. Whereas absolutely loving the rich red and black roof combo of the ID4
If you haven’t got a rear wiper, use rain x on the rear window.
I use a water repellent coating, I just need to wash the car more often.
I can live with that if it gets me into this level of car.
I was pretty wowed on the test drive.
There is a lot of stock around the country at different dealers.
Phenomenal vehicle for the money that’s for sure.
I think may go 168kw 77kwh ultimate tech pack and take advantage of the £1250 AP
Well, somewhat relieved I think. Will be sticking with the ID4 Style Pro that’s currently on order.
Doesn’t look as though the Explorer is making an appearance, and nothing else has tempted me, AP wise.
Although …… Namsang Ioniq is a huge drop ??
I’m just to excited Dave ??
You are? I’ve just read that the e3008 has dropped to £500. So I think a call to my dealer when it opens to change the order for new price and add the sensation pack. All for £700 after the NCP and GCB. My stomach is doing somersaults lol
Have you actually been able to drive the E3008 ? And what is a sensation pack?
The Ford Explorer could be a serious game changer depending on APs. Will be very interesting to see what they are set at.
Is the ID4 about to get cancelled ???
Watch this space.
Manual seats and basic six speaker audio kills my interest. I sat in a ID5 yesterday.
Just wondered how you know the ID5 is £1000 cheaper AP in match trim.
I’m eagerly awaiting the new price list on Monday to see what happens with the ID4?
I currently have an ID4 Style on order and was interested to see if the Match trim came on and more interestingly if the GTX makes an appearance.
I don’t think I’ll switch to the Match as I really love the Pano roof but a GTX would definitely tempt me.
They’re not leather in the Tekna, it’s some form of cheap looking plastic.
Yes, some vegan alternative ? poor carrots ?
I had many test drives of the e-power & e-4orce and have waited since it has joined the scheme for the Tecna trim to join, which looks less likely every quarter that goes by.
Yes the highest trim level is currently the NConnecta. Still nice though. Think you lost the glass roof, 20″ alloys, HUD and elec leather seats.
Still a cracking car though. What was your thoughts on the test drives. I haven’t driven one ?
@phaedra my husband had the same issue in the ariya. It was very odd as it certainly looked initially like it’d be big enough but it was properly squashed in there for him. @sagwala123 I absolutely loved the xtrail and if I hadn’t got a massive bee in my bonnet about going full EV this time I would have definitely ordered it.
It does tick a lot of boxes for sure.
I looked at thw Ariya as it had the highest roof height, couldn’t get in it without my head hitting the roof and the steering wheel jamming on my legs (but I am 6′ 5″). However, for the trim level and that AP I think the X-Trail is overpriced. Bear in mind that if you can go full EV there are alternatives (Smart #1, Enyaq etc.) that start from £0 AP, even the Enyaq 85 Edition is only £1,499 and could also save you around £1000 to £2000 in fuel over the 3 years depending on you driving, mileage etc.
Yes, I tend to agree. We currently have an ID4 EV on order and think the deposit on the X-Trail would have to be much better than it is to be tempted.
It is, however, one of a dying breed of, what I would call, your typical “4×4” style and shape, rather than a crossover or SUV. Which I think it has in its favour.
As such, access both in and out is so much easier because of the ride height and the flatter threshold.
Does anyone know of any dealers that physically have an e3008 in stock to view ?
Difficult to order without seeing one in the flesh. My local dealership isn’t going to see one until at least April
Ordered an ID4 Style 6 weeks ago. Was told April/May delivery, but as yet we haven’t even got a factory build date. So I’m not holding my breath. I have had it in writing from the dealer that the order will 100% be the Style and not switched to a Match. We particularly liked the panoramic roof, which the Match wouldn’t have. So I wanted the assurance we would definitely get the Style. Will be disappointed to receive the Match and I wouldn’t complete the order if it turns out that is what arrives. However if the Match and GTX come on the Motability scheme to order, I would be tempted to order the GTX
Yeah i wont be accepting the car if its a match that turns up. It was the glass roof that swung my decision over the enyak and also few other bits like black headlining, nicer alloys.. What colour did you go for? Id like the id7 to appear for £1499 ?[/quote We’ve gone for the red. My wife liked the black but I liked the contrast red to black roof and obviously you lose that with a black car. Sound like you ordered similar to me then, so hopefully good news. Will watch the Motability website closely though to see when the ordering changes to Match and see whether the GTX comes on and what price ?
Red was my second choice but the dealer said id have to pay £800 extra for it?? I always thought premium paints was just few hundred extra and not the whole cost ? I can see the prices increasing next quarter now they have filled their order books up with motability customers especially with the enyaq! When i was looking late December the enyaq was 2 months wait and now its 7 months.
Well I was told an extra £150 I think so I went for it. I’ll double check because I ain’t stumping £800

I think given the ID5 is really an ID4 coupe I’m ok to post here that my car order is confirmed!! ID5 style pro moonstone grey currently 4 week wait as a car from stock. ?
That’s interesting, which dealer. I might check for ID4 stock. I still haven’t had a factory build date yet. It’s been four weeks.
is it ok if I direct message you the dealer? I prefer not to give my location out on a public forum
Yes of course, please do. Do you need my email address ?
