Wasn’t really thinking about GCB more trying to get a feel for what’s ok. My new car has arrived much quicker than expected and probably not surprisingly, washing is impossible for me and vacuuming my car isn’t much easier. I’ll probably go to local Tesco and get it done!
That’s ok then as my order was out through on April 25th
That’s clearly the facelifted version then on the list so hopefully mine will be but the order was confirmed on 25th April and that price list is effective 28th! Let’s see what my dealer says when they get build date
Yeah I’d originally confirmed my order back on 14th and he then emailed to say they hadn’t been able to put my order through until the 25th as Ford had put a temporary stop on new orders to change things so maybe I’ll get the new one, maybe I won’t but either way i’m happy.
My order went through on 25th April and my salesperson wasn’t sure if it would be the facelift version or not and I’m still waiting to hear as he’s on holiday until next week but given what you’ve been told I bet I’ve just missed out!
I wondered the same thing as I can order from tomorrow and I’ve just had a live chat with Motability and had it confirmed that leases have to run for a minimum 3 years and if my new car was ready early the dealer will hold it until current lease expires and then do handover
I’m going to test drive one tomorrow after my original first choice the QQ epower Tekna went up by £800. One door closes, another opens I hope..
Agreed, I’m currently in a Peugeot 5008 GT line that 3 years ago cost me £3500, the QQ Tekna was a decent replacement with a very similar spec even if it’s a smaller car but now it looks like my 2nd choice which is the Renault Arkana, a lovely car which I enjoyed driving on a test but is absolutely a compromise on what I would want. I hope that that one hasn’t shot up too
I can order on 12th April and really wanted the QQ epower Tekna which at £3199 was just about in reach but if these prices are correct the £800 increase kills that wish stone dead. This is just getting silly now
Hi Mike,
I’ll give that a go. Nothing to lose!
Picked up car on Monday, it was all ready for me, parked out front. Great service from Paulo at Marshall’s Peugeot in Cambridge and the car is amazing, the only thing the same as my old version is the model name 5008! So much tech on it I think I’ll be tinkering for about a month before it’s all set up lol
I’ve had Peugeot’s for the last 12 years and placed an order for a 5008 auto on Friday and gave it a good test drive. The 3008 is pretty much the same car just a bit smaller. I loved the 5008 but then again I’ve got the old SUV version. Definitely give it a try.
I have a hip problem which is why I get PIP but didn’t try passenger seat, I won’t be sat in that one too often. I’m an old cynic so with any sales pitch I assume they’re lying and work backwards from there so absolutely, always try things for yourself. I hope you find the right car for you.
Yes I’ve had one of those and created my account and I also took my entitlement letter with me which they copied so hopefully that will speed things up a little. Like it as soon as, who wouldn’t, but I am in a fortunate position that I have a perfectly good car at present which won’t conk out any time soon!
JS, don’t all new applications “require an allowance check”? Assumed that would be the case for anyone joining
Hi Rox,
Yes my car is worth more than the AP and I’m getting the rest back as cash so don’t worry I haven’t been fleeced. Got a decent price for my current car, within the ranges given by independent online values and good ol’ “we buy” and also negotiated over the factory fitted extra. I’m happy and expect they are too
Hi Georgie,
Yes it is as we have 4 kids. Eldest one is off to uni in September but as she hasn’t passed her test yet due to the shutdown we decided we’d still go for it. Plus it stops our other 3 fighting if ones in the 3rd row lol. I Basically I’m just upgrading to the new version of the car I have. I personally don’t think there’s a better 7 seat option out there and independent reviews seem to beat that out.
Yeah, test drove on trade plates. They had the car there and I think may have been ordered in by a customer who maybe backed out as it had the front camera added or they’d got as a demo car which hadn’t been used as I put more miles on (17) than it had already!
It is and my last 2 cars have been Peugeot across the last 12 years. I know some people have a thing against them re reliability but I’ve only had one issue and that was fixed foc so ca t complain. Went for the 1.5 diesel as both those last 2 have been diesel and despite reviews a 1.2 in such a big car seems a little underpowered. Also the car I’m getting is the one I drove so it’s from stock which’s cut the wait time once I’m approved.
Hi File28,
Peugeot 5008 GT Line Premium. I currently have the old SUV version of t(e same car on a 66 plate so using that to pay for the AP and an extra that was already in the car which I did a deal on.
