Last night the Enyaq was removed from the motability offers car list on Skoda.co.uk. This morning the Enyaq is back on and the Scala has also been added. Skoda.co.uk don’t have an updated motbility pricelist yet though. Motability site still lists the 60’s and 80’s as before. Fingers crossed that the Enyaq does still stay on the scheme and we hear confirmation soon as well as any change to AP’s.
I notice the page you download the price list from (still not updated) has a picture of the Enyaq saying “AP from £3999”
I hope that is outdated rather than updated!!!
Have ordered my last three from Hendy Ford in Portsmouth. Outstanding service including after sales. I even drove 100 miles each way for the one I have now having been offered a decent discount.

Be interesting if lease!
My worst experience somehow resulted in a minor accident.
I was driving at night down the middle of a 2 way road. Lots of parked cars both sides but plenty of room. I was going about 80mph (40 speed limit). In fairness I was driving a company car – a 5 series BMW making lots of noise with lots of lights flashing.
With no signal or lights on a drink driver pulled out from a parking spot on the near side and did a U turn in front of me. She then stopped in front of me upon seeing me barrelling towards her.
Miraculously I swerved round her but in the process clipped a kerb and burst a tyre. By far my most frightening experience whilst driving and a very close call. Of note it transpired she was more than two times over the drink drive limit and she was subsequently convicted for drunk drive.
Glad mileage thing has changed. I may extend in January for same reasons and I’ll have over 40k on mine.

There are so many variables here – what size, what deposit, manual/auto etc.
Personally I would advise going through the search function on the Motability website and once you have a few suitable cars and a shortlist call some of your local dealers to enquire if they have any stock cars available straight away.
Good luck with it.
I popped into a BYD showroom last week and they advised the Atto was on the scheme and they had already processed a few orders for Motability customers.
Seems odd when it is still not showing on the search……

September 5, 2023 at 10:12 am in reply to: No Motability cars available. Dealers unwilling to offer cars on Motability. #232420Surely available is a play on words and your interpretation of it. As others have said, it means available on the scheme.
Marmite is available in my local Tesco but yesterday much to my dismay, it was out of stock. I’m not sure that was illegal though…..
Edit – if you are new I accept it may be confusing but rest assured, no dealer (to my knowledge anyway!) is doing anything illegal…….

Thank you John
Had the ohme pro fitted last week all relatively straight forward about 3 hours to complete. No feeding through walls in my case as meter is outside and i think a 5m cable from carger to reach car App is fairly easy to set up as well.
I have an outside metre too (80 amp fuse but only 5 years old) and my fuse box is inside but near that wall the meter is on.
Does that mean I might get away with no drilling too? I thought they had to go to fuse box (or is this where a small extra box is added in meter box?)
If you are with Octopus have a look at their Tracker Tarrif. Electric has varied between 14 and 20p/KWH over the last month saving me around a third on my bill. Variable yes, but you can change back if it gets too high with no penalty. Gas is between 4 and 5p.
I’d be interested too as although probably going electric, the 1.0 Focus Active does look good value.

I did a bit of research before ordering our EV – not due until next year. It didn’t take long to find out that the Ohme Pro Home is the one to go for and is compatible with Intelligent Octopus, regarded by most as the best tariff for EVs. So I phoned Motability and explained this and asked if I could be allocated an Ohme charger. I was put through to another department and explained it again. The answer was along the lines of We can’t guarantee an Ohme but will put it down as your preference. Anyway an Ohme charger was installed this morning, no issues and looks very neat I asked the installer (Plug Me In) about Easee, and he said he always had trouble during the installation of Easee chargers but has never been called back to an Ohme installation. So this may well be the reason that Motability are currently only offering the Ohme.
Can I ask how you got it fitted now please (assuming this was through Motability) when you are not due to change until next year?
Do you get a choice which one of those two to go with?
I’m on Octopus Tracker that has seen my bills more than half. Variable but really competitive rates. I’ve got a code for £50 credit on bill if anyone does want to join them, message me (if I’m allowed to say that, apologies if not, please edit).
No heat pump puts me off this if I’m honest…..

The XC40 was on show at Exeter for all to sit in and peruse with a big banner above saying “Coming Soon”
Not surprised you’re both suggesting Volvo. Comfort wise the XC40 was certainly up there on the day. Just hoping it is not a silly AP when it appears! I’ve been told the Atto will be a zero AP which will be a big incentive if others are much higher. £750 back rather than forking out seems very attractive.
Did you see the BYD Atto? I was quite impressed when I saw that at Exeter, albeit the interior will put some off.
Currently in the diesel ST Line X Kuga. I find you have to drive fairly sedately to get the higher end of mpg but have done 33000 miles in 25 months absolutely trouble free with no issues (I’ve probably cursed that now!)
Will be going EV or Hybrid in the New Year when changing so also keen to know real mpg of the FHEV.
Gas has never been over 4p a unit.
That’s quick and quite encouraging!
Of note I’m with Octopus and moved to their Tracker Tarrif a month ago and I’ve saved a third on my bill.
It’s variable but electricity has ranged from 13.2p per kw to the most expensive of 18.5p on one day. That is 24/7 on that particular day.
Ta and no apology needed!!
Ok thanks. The electrician is a registered EV charger fitter who lives locally.
He’s having a very quick look at meter FOC.
