Roger WikcoThere are loads of videos on you tube with range figures actually achieved. Car wow also did a run cars until they die videos.
But evs shouldn’t get looked at the same as ICE cars, the maximum range shouldn’t ge a factor as the mantra for evs is charge frequently and keep the battery between 20-80% unless doing a long journey, then charge to 100%.
As most journeys are on average 25 miles a day, you can keep the battery around 80% by small home charging.
On longer journeys, when you input into the sat navigation you journey and the sat navigation will tell you uf you need to charge on the journey and possible charging spots.

MikeyOnly had mine a month but I reckon 170 miles at high motorway speeds and 200 miles running about (summer temps)

TommyBrilliant thanks, I do mostly shirt journeys, less than 20 miles a day with the odd motorway journey so sounds great, how are you finding the car mikey, is it big enough to take a family of 5 to north Wales with a roofbox on you reckon?

MikeyI absolutely love it – it is so comfortable and I have had Volvos for the last 3 cars and loads of space and very well put together

Tommy<p style=”text-align: left;”>Thanks mikey, just been down to dealership to have another look at it and fell in love with it even more, the salesman said you can’t add options on individually, even though they’re priced individually you would have to add ALL options on costing £8000, have you heard of that before</p>

Mark 55Hi cannot comment on the car (have an ID3).
But charging is great, get home, plug in. Next morning battery at 80%.
I would recommend an Ohme Pro charger and Octopus Intelligent tariff. So far my average cost for all electricity used is 23.35p/KWh over the last 30 days.
August 27, 2023 at 10:05 am #231308If you are with Octopus have a look at their Tracker Tarrif. Electric has varied between 14 and 20p/KWH over the last month saving me around a third on my bill. Variable yes, but you can change back if it gets too high with no penalty. Gas is between 4 and 5p.

OlpkThe majority of additional items are not available individually on an Enyaq so you have to buy one of two accessory packs.
Clever pack is £2755 or plus pack for £4830.
The only real options other than those are heat pump, sunroof or different wheels.
To get thing like electric tailgate or heated seats etc you need one of the above packs.
Even the rear wiper on the coupe is part of the packs which is crazy.

I looked at the 87Kw Ariya Advance which seems to have alot of what the Enyak is missing as standard. Some delers are matching the £2.5k AP contribution seen in the cashback and offers page.

Roger WikcoOlpk,
The similar cars with similar specs on the scheme are all with APs of £7,999. The Enyaq suv with the 80 battery, the plus pack, the travel pack is about £8,000 the coupe £300 mire.
That us with the current 23MY, I’m awaiting the 24my spec announcement which will gave a bigger battery, latest mib4 software and battery preconditioning.
So,nasty far as I’m concerned, is a compatible xar, I don’t like the Aryia after test driving it and the similar spec us only a 63kw battery.
To me, i
The Enyaq is a much superior car, but of, course, we all have different opinions and I’m glad Motability gives people the choice.
August 28, 2023 at 9:52 pm #231436
Roger WikcoSorry, I forgot to add, the big issue for the Enyaq is ( as with all cars on the scheme) that any additional extras you add to the car are NOT covered by Mitability insurance, so, if the car is stolen ir an accident write off, you will only get vack, pro rata, the AP cost, not anything for the additions you add.
August 28, 2023 at 11:39 pm #231456I don’t like the Aryia after test driving it and the similar spec us only a 63kw battery.
I popped into Nissan as it was next door to Mazda, primarily because they were offering £2.5k off the Ariya AP. Most of what you get on Evolve is mainly cometc bar the adaptive matrix headlights but neither here or there if you don’t do alot of night driving. – glass panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a head-up display and an upgraded Bose stereo with 10-speakers oh and HUD i think. Other than that the Advance has all the safety featurers.
I highly doub’t I’ll have an EV yet but, for £4250 it wasn’t bad and I much prefered the interior over VW’s group bland big box littles box theme. I also liked the Q4 Etrn especially as it had leather/vintl and again I the nterior was a step up from the rest of the group.
As you say we all have different opinions!
August 30, 2023 at 7:56 am #231529
OlpkMy comment was responding to Tommy asking if you can buy options separately.
I have no opinion on any other EV as I have an Enyaq on order.
However I do find something as essential as a rear wiper a bit of a stupid thing to leave out of standard spec.
My car is expected to be delivered as MY 24. But there is nothing in Skoda’s press release to indicate MY24 will get the upgraded batteries yet.
The press release confirms 4.0 software and battery preconditioning but only says “subsequent” models will receive the updated batteries and it avoids a definite statement. Something as significant as that would definitely see a brochure change and a more confident press release.
August 30, 2023 at 8:44 am #231552
Roger WikcoI’m nit sure where you get that on the standard Enyaq coupe, the rear wiper us an option, as it doesn’t show as available in any option packs or individual option.
I did a build your car to see, as the lack if rear wiper put je off both the Kua ev6 and Ionuc 5, so that would push me towards the suv enyaq 80 instead of the coupe.
They gave been slow this year pushing out the MY specs, the L&K still doesn’t show.

OlpkA combination of things.
Firstly I asked the dealer when I ordered my iv80 coupe as the brochure pictures show cars with no rear wiper.
That was after I visited 2 dealers looking at newly arrived demo models which all had no rear wiper. Both my local dealer only received coupe demo models recently.
Then lastly I viewed all the iv80 coupe on Autotrader. Only ones with either the clever or plus pack have rear wiper.

Thats clever!
August 31, 2023 at 8:12 pm #231886Won’t be long before they start charging extra for a steering wheel.

TommySo I’ve ended going for the Nissan ariya, it was £2500 ap but Swansea Nissan knocked off £1000 from that then my grant covered the rest, so nothing to pay, it comes with rear view cam, sat nav, HEAT PUMP, intelligent cruise control, led front lights, rear led lights, led fog lights to name but a few, the base spec blows the enyak out of the water, added a comfort pack with heated front seats, power seats, heated steering wheel and leather interior, it’s got everything I’d ever need, Nissan Swansea have been amazing, big shout out to kieron and Nathan, plus the fact motability give me a free home charger, I couldn’t have asked for more.

What trim did you go for 63kW Evolve?
September 1, 2023 at 10:55 am #231904
TommyNo mate 63 engage because I was limited by my grant but I’ve added the comfort pack so it’s basically just the advanced trim now
September 1, 2023 at 1:20 pm #231949Had several sits in one yesterday, all quite nice apart from the seats. I’m a big bloke, 6′ 5″ and 18st, my current Ateca seats are excellent as were my previous Yeti’s. The Enyaq’s felt very narrow (base) and the side wings were pushing into my hips/bum area and were quite uncomfortable.
Been to look at an ID4 today (same build platform) and the seats were a lot better.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

Mate go and sit in an ariya in the advanced trim, I’m not tall but I’m heavy and I’ve never in my 30 odd years of driving sat in a more comfortable car
September 1, 2023 at 5:46 pm #231985As I said in my other “wasted afternoon” thread I’ve sat in an Ariya, the steering wheel is literally on my legs with the seat right down and the steering wheel fully raised., and that’s the flat bottom part!, I’d have a real problem turning it!.
I have very long legs!

September 1, 2023 at 6:29 pm #231991Does anyone know when the MY24 coupe will start production? I am interested in getting an IV 80 but deffo want one with the ME4 software and associated updates.
September 1, 2023 at 8:00 pm #232006
TommyPhaedra I’m only 5.10 and it’s perfect for me, my wife is only 4.10 so when the driving seat is in her position I can stretch my legs out completely behind her haha, hope you find something suitable mate
