with Q2 upon us Motability has announced they will be producing their pricing as usual on the 1st April, although you can’t order until the government restrictions are relaxed.
with the current economic climate we could see some changes, hopefully even some new additions filtering on the scheme. With Q2 starting next week I know any advance changes may not make a difference at present but the thread is for reference and pricing for when we can use the information.

ThargAlfa Giulia, Beemer 3 series with decent engine and who knows what else. Welcome back to fantasy motoring! First wish – what about a 2-series coupe with the same 2L in the 3-series?

AndrewNew model starting price £33,000.
perhaps too high to go on scheme .
looks much better than the 2019 version

DBtruthNissan Leaf looks quite good value for an EV.
Skoda Octavia looks good value.
Ive also noticed a few Mini Cooper S for quite a low ap. haven’t looked at the specs but I’d imagine the ones with a low ap only come with a cassette player.
id imagine there will be more comings and goings as per usual so I’ll be keeping an eye on things.

Yet cheaper (£4) than the hybrid Skoda Superb estate. ??
? I will be remembered for nothing but had great fun doing it ?

Thanks for that, so order next Monday then cancel 1st July if the price goes down more than say £250 & re-order I guess.
June 4, 2020 at 12:29 am #114353I really fancied the Toyota Corolla 2.0 GR Sport hybrid. Pre-covid, it was £875 AP.
Fast forward 3-months to today… and the AP has suddenly shot up to £2,095.
Either Motability has got that wrong… or Toyota are taking the p*ss already and trying to claw back losses due to the pandemic.
If it’s the latter, then sorry Toyota but it’s the first car to be crossed off my list.

ScottI think mb will be quite annoyed at that tbh but leaves a car for someone else to grab if its built etc.

JohnPretty sad to see the A4 has been taken off the scheme, was a big contender for our next car. Private leases on the A4 are cheaper than ever so it’s sad to see it disappear.
June 4, 2020 at 12:42 am #114356The engine in the 318i is not the 3 cylinder. Both engines are 2.0 litre in size and both have four cylinders, the 318i produces 156hp and 0-62mph is achievable in 8.4 seconds producing 250nm of torque. The 320i has 184hp and 0-62 is a sprightly 7.1 seconds. Both engines claim economy to be 41.5 miles per gallon.
If anyone takes a stock car though, they‘ll probably end up with a 1.5L variant. There’s a lot on forecourts.
For the new 318i, quite how BMW can only get 156bhp out of a 16v turbo charged engine is beyond me. It exactly the same power as my stock 1990 N/A 2.0 XR4i.
Quite good torque though.I’ve just noticed that BMW are making it pretty difficult to find the engine CC on their website! ?

@solent60, these will be the prices already agreed prior to the pandemic. There won’t have been any negotiating between Motability & manufacturers since it started. But either way, that’s a helluva jump and would stop me in my tracks too. ?

It sure is Wayne. Cheerio Corolla. Shame because my current C-HR has been the most comfortable car to drive I’ve ever owned & it’s been a wonderful funky car with all the kit you’d ever need.
Guess I’ll have to wait and see what AP the new Ford Puma 7-speed auto is when it comes on the scheme soon. Third and last car on my list is the Peugeot 208 GT-Line which, thankfully, has stayed the same AP as the previous quarter that Motability issued. Thank you Peugeot!
June 4, 2020 at 6:58 am #114363@solent60. Would you consider another C-HR or have they jumped in AP as well?
The GT-Line is a great choice though. Really smart looking car. ??

June 4, 2020 at 7:12 am #114367
DBtruthMike, it looks to me like the new Leon is on there (£999) for the FR auto. It doesn’t look like the hybrid is on but I know you’d been looking out for the Leon.
June 4, 2020 at 7:14 am #114368When is the proper updated list coming on these prices are silly
Apparently the prices will be updated on the 1st July as usual. If true, these may reflect the present economic climate.
June 4, 2020 at 7:20 am #114370
MikeDB truth it doesn’t look like the new model to me I’m ignoring these prices totally and visiting dealers next week I’d tell everyone to do the same until July 1st
