Has anyone ordered a MG HS recently? We’ve been told by one dealership that demand is so high that if we order now it might not arrive until next year but another dealership said there’s no issue and that they usually have them in stock, they’d just sold 15 from stock! Wondering what delivery times people have been quoted.
We intend to order the auto in excite spec. Not sure on colour, despite how popular they are I am yet to see any colour that isn’t blue.
Also has anyone managed an AP discount? Every dealership I try says they cannot, no full tank of fuel either. £10 fuel at the most. AP on the auto excite is only £199 so not the end of the world but we’ve managed discounts in the past.
For anyone that needs to know, a standard adult folding wheelchair with folding handles does fit in the boot. The rear seats are recliners and I had to move them upright a small amount.

Hi has anyone ordered a blue HS ? What has your dealer told you why blue not available at moment, I ordered early July and the reason I have been told is MG are changing the colour blue to new shade but that was August so are any of you being told the same or something different, also if anyone else waiting do you know that on MG UK site Northern dealers have a number of blue HS ready to go in showroom, it will be interesting to hear what others are being told , also is anyone else being pressured to change their order ? By their dealer, mine is

I’ve just had a thought maybe this boat coming in to Bristol soon is full of black and white cars this maybe why my dealer is pushing for me to change my order as they won’t get any payments until we receive our cars, or is this me over thinking things ????

Hi my brother in-law has ordered a Honda civic in December and he had a call from his dealer 2 weeks ago to say his car was on its way and should be in uk 25th February ready for collection after 6th March, perhaps Honda dealers are a better informed than MG or a better calibre
Hi Martin I ordered a black one maybe the dealers are playing snooker with the colours to see who can get the most points I hear the police do that from time to time
MG dealers (imho) know so little – partly as MG U.K. have dire communications and logistics !!!
It’s definitely pot luck but definitely worth phong around & being prepared to travel to dealers that may have stock.. It would appear from various online / social media MG HS forums etc… that where new dealerships open up – they get a decent supply of demonstrators & new stock
– I know a few ppl have posted they got stock from the newest dealership in southend on sea, Essex which opened mid / late December 21. Worth a punt???
When I order my MG HS on 5/3/20 I had phoned a visited various dealers & went with the one who could supply what I wanted quickest. good luck to those trying to source a new one ???Update, HS Exclusive (white) has arrived at dealers this morning, rear windows being tinted ready for pick up on Monday 31st January

I have been pestering MG uk for a while to try and get to the bottom of why they will not fulfil a order for a blue HS ,well they have answered today as follows
Unfortunately MG customers are unable to place orders for this specific colour Holborn blue andare only subject to stock availability MG dealers across UK, they finished email with also we cannot confirm when the MG HS will be available for customers to order, we would advise you to contact your purchasing dealer to make changes to your order and run you through your options,
Not what I wanted to hear but they haven’t said that they will not be making blue HS again, I’m in two minds now do I sit it out or see what MG are willing to offer as sweeteners for me to change order at no cost to me plus goodies for pissing me around for 7 months
What do you guy’s think , also anyone else waiting for blue

I know , still can’t get my round that MG are only able to make black and white cars , I think must have bigger problems than whats being let on , also MG Uk are really slow to reply to emails, but a lot better than Southampton dealership they don’t even reply at all, I feel like I’m stuck in middle after doing nothing wrong apart from ordering a MG , between a rock and a hard place, perhaps its MG new sales pitch you order and pay for your car and we will decide what car we will let you have. It hasn’t got much of ring to it
I’m beginning to think I’m running out of options, I see there’s another ship coming into Bristol on Sunday I wonder if they have remembered to put cars on board and what colours will they be, its a lottery
I know mate it’s a poor service to have if you want repeat custom. I a newbie to this so not a great start hopefully things will sort itself out soon
Just heard from Martin the mg dealer at Southampton he said my car not on a ship but it is awaiting shipping so got a eta of mid to late march. Martin b did you get anymore about what’s happening with yours
Hi Colin heard nothing from MG been waiting for replies from emails to Martin Sent 20th January and email to MG uk sent last Monday, think I’m in for a bit of a wait, think I may have to change my colour to maybe white but this is dependent on what Martin and MG are willing to give as a good will gesture, have spoken to another dealer and they have been told to only take orders for black or white in HS , I have come to conclusion that MGs logistics and management are as useful as a chocolate fireguard or couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery
Hope you get sorted soon . When I ordered my last car a VW tiguan you could follow it being built in factory to it being shipped and unloaded in docks, with a app ,MG have a long way to catch up with European companies

Ordered a red Exclusive last week been told inital delivery date will be May/June looking at others comments this could be a bit optimistic.
HI All,
Picked the wifes HS Exclusive up yesterday, as it was her first motability car, process was very quick.
There was no talk through of the functions of the car (blamed on covid protocols)
Once home I talked her through the basics, programmed her favourite radio stations in, paired her phone up etc.
Managed to get out in it myself, to fill the car up. Car drives nicely, drivers seat comfortable
Dealer was saying this batch of cars was unexpected, they were not expecting cars in until mid Feb, but were notified 2 weeks ago they were getting a shipment, they had 33 HS’s in all have gone straight out.
