Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.
So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

Our dealer changed our order to the lower AP during a 5 minute phone call, no issues or drama. That means AP is £1199, with the £750 taken off this only leaves £450 to pay.
This is the lowest AP we have ever paid and the most expensive car we’ve ever had. I’ve often knocked Motability, but credit where it’s due.
April 6, 2024 at 10:41 am #271757For anyone who is having a frustrating experience with their build date, have heart that the situation may improve!
On ordering the 85 Edition(Loft, no extras) on 25.11.23, I was told build times were looking good and to expect a build date in March and delivery of car in April at the latest.
Time ticked on and the estimated build date moved all over the place, from weeks 12, 16, 20 to 26. The staff member who dealt with the order was very poor at communicating or coming back to emails and you always had to instigate for an update. I called the dealership today and asked for another staff member to take over the sale due to the poor experience. New staff member has been great so far. AP reduced to Q2 price and build date given as week 14 (this week) which they will call and confirm next week.
Fingers crossed, it’s all looking a lot more positive.
April 6, 2024 at 11:47 am #271762My man Scott back off his hols today called him about 20 mins ago to ask him to cancel order and then reorder so i get the £1599 AP,he went off the phone for 10 mins to speak to his manager has he was’nt up to speed with Q2 prices, and he just called to say all updated and he updated another buyers AP at the same time,so he/she will get a surprise.
The system saying July for me.

That wouldn’t be Scott from Pulman Skoda by any chance?

April 6, 2024 at 5:58 pm #271804I’m getting the impression that Skoda dealers aren’t very good.
Never had these problems with BMW.

I would imagine Skoda dealers recently switching to an agency model would have issed them off!
April 6, 2024 at 6:51 pm #271808Remember that forums tend to be more noisy about negative than positive stuff as people reach out with experiences seeking to see if they can be helped. My experience was great- no issues whatsoever. Easy order, good communications and early delivery.

I think it just depends on who the have working at the dealership. The smaller/independent dealers round my area have always been good regardless of what brand.

Skoda has recently changed to a direct agency sales, so the process is completely different, not for the better it seems
April 7, 2024 at 11:13 am #271883My salesman Jason is great. Always respond to my emails or call me instead of sending an email. He try to be as much helpful as possible. Sadly, he is only trainee sales executive so he needs to ask questions/ permissions other more experienced staff members which – in my opinion are terrible. Jason in on annual leave from Thursday and I had to deal with others and omg. I’m glad I have Jason. The rest of them act like motability clients are not worth the time whatsoever. So the experience might be different depending on who is your sales person 🙂

I really really hope that my build weeks which was pushed from week 16 to 18 and now to 24 somehow will be brought forward to maybe week 20 at least ?
April 7, 2024 at 1:00 pm #271897Well I’ve had enough of my dealer so seeing as he never picks up the phone to me I’ve emailed him to tell him to cancel my car. I’ve not paid any deposit so it’s not like it’s going to cost me anything.

It could be that or it could be being a lesser brand they’re not too bothered about customer service.
April 7, 2024 at 1:32 pm #271901April 7, 2024 at 2:31 pm #271904My experience.
our dealer had basic knowledge about the pricing on motability even though we dealt with their specialist. I had done my research so he was only really submitting the order. We opted for the 80 sportline plus as the options suited our needs.
we had little help with the switch over to 2024 models even though our late October order he should have had some information and let us worry for most part of a month while we finally got informed our model would be changed to an 85.
we told him on a few occasions and emailed and text our availability as we were unavailable for around the expected delivery times due to personal reasons and realistically expected it to all run over the dates as it did.
we finally heard from him after another prompt from us that our car was built and in transit to the uk and once again saying it was at the dealership. We was available but he still made a comment of not knowing if we were free.
I questioned the AP as our order price was now the same as the AWD 85x but was told we had the very rare 85 sport line plus which we ordered. He told us we had to pick it up that week and made a big thing of getting it and also said the AP was set by mobility and it would not change. We paid 2099 the same as the 85x but I also looked and everything I found said that as there was no pricing for a non awd car it was a grey area.
Now when we collected the car he did make a comment that if we hadn’t collected it when we did the dealership was closed for bank holidays and the next opening day for collection was April and that meant a problem with the processing as it rolled to another quarter Q2.
only now I am feeling a little ripped of as the cars are now 400 cheaper in q2. Not alone did we pay the same price for an 85x for an 85, if we waited till the next week he should have adjusted to q2 prices.-

April 7, 2024 at 2:35 pm #271906I forgot to add the main thing is the car and it is fantastic.
Just the dealers experience poor and left a bad feeling on the process. Skoda need to sort this out. Our daughter has a car from another manufacturer and dealer and they are everything you should get from a dealer and make Skoda team seem so much worse as compared.-

April 7, 2024 at 3:13 pm #271913How long generally is a car in production for? My enyaq 60 edition started production 2 weeks ago but hit a stalling I think the dealership said, wonder if it’s a part shortage and that’s why the 60 is off the scheme now.
April 7, 2024 at 4:06 pm #271917We got told it’s in production then about 2/3 weeks later it’s at the docks waiting to be shipped. In past experience from build to dealer anything from 4-6 weeks for us. It all depends what process it’s in during your notification it’s in build week. Where your dealer is and shipping schedules and finally parts etc. but usually they will not part build a car as it means storing it etc. kid it’s in production it should be built from start to finish complete. They would normally just delay the start of the build if they needed something for it.
April 8, 2024 at 11:50 am #272136I was also told “around 4-6 weeks” after build date for collection.

April 8, 2024 at 5:12 pm #272162my car was built last day of February and I collected it from my dealer on 27 march. Hope this helps. 4 weeks is possible as it happened with me. if its any longer then its due to some kind of delay somewhere in the system be that train transport, boat transport or road transport.

Very nice sometimes you have to play hardball, our dealer has been very helpful and adjusted the AP without question. We simply phoned him and asked to cancel the order and resubmit it so we could get the lower AP and he was like no problem. Under no circumstances would we have paid the higher AP we would have sat in the dealership on collection day refusing to put our pin in if that was the case lol ?
April 9, 2024 at 1:23 pm #272301Dealer just phoned to say car is built and sitting at docks awaiting shipment to UK. He’s still hopeful to see it before end of the month but I’d expect that to trickle into May given current transporter issues in UK
