Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.
So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

Same as we were told to be fair it’s just the difference between the two.
January 28, 2024 at 3:20 pm #256554My dealer immediately offered an Enyaq to me for a whole working day, picked car up at 10am kept it until 5pm.
This was important to me as we live in a rural location so driving on inner city roads is worthless to me. I need to know how a car is on C roads full of potholes etc.
The next nearest dealer only offered me 20 minutes with them in the car so YMMV.
I know Wings were offering 48 hour test drives at one point so it is well worth asking
January 28, 2024 at 3:26 pm #256555Oh, when I ordered I was told all colours included. I went for black as it looks super sexy on the Sportline.
Funny how so many dealers have different interpretations

thank you for pointing this out. I’ve checked on their website and yes they offer 48h test drive for enyaq. I’ve sent an email to my dealer and asked about it and if we can arrange this. According to their website this is available only between Monday- Friday. So fingers crossed he will respond tomorrow!
January 28, 2024 at 5:15 pm #256559No worries hope it helps. I was going to go to Wings at one point as the Lynn branch is only slightly further than Norwich but decided a working day was enough
I did consider getting a 48 hour drive from Wings Peterborough and picking up on the way to go to Portmeirion for a weekend away but thought Wales and back might not go down too well, lol.
January 28, 2024 at 8:45 pm #256601I ordered the exact same model on 10th December and was told the extra cost for the Velvet Red was £385 the difference between the cost of Metallic and Velvet red. I think that is reasonable but would not have stumped up the full £1045. It’s strange that there doesn’t seem to be any consistency with what we are told by Skoda dealers.
Just had a look on the Carwow site and they are showing an example of a Enyaq Coupe with colour options including the fact that as part of that scheme Metallic paint is free and for a top up payment of £390 the Velvet Red is available.
January 29, 2024 at 12:17 pm #256631I rang motability this morning, and you are correct ( you pay the difference between metallic and the red )
Please I settled that in my head. Still happy with the white as it makes the roof and other party of the sportline plus stand out .
And I Will have a extra holiday instead of the red and advance pack . ?
January 29, 2024 at 12:57 pm #256638I love Motability’s consistency 🙁
I rang when my dealer told ne it was full price for the red, Motability said it was up to the dealer 🙁
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
January 29, 2024 at 3:04 pm #256646Ok. Ive ordered my Enyaq coupe ? it was hard decision! I could not sleep today as I could not decide which enyaq should I choose ! I tested both estate and coupe. One in sportline other in lounge. And I must say sportline seats were not comfortable for myself. So I went with ecosuite. Estimated delivery today was 15/04 but this might change both ways. Will see 😉 not sure about other dealers but I had to pay £500 deposit today which it took me by surprise as I’m I thought I will pay AP on the day when I will collect the car.
January 29, 2024 at 3:18 pm #256647Different dealers have different rules but I’ve never paid an ap or deposit upfront, mostly because I’ve never been asked to buy if I had I would go elsewhere if and it’s pretty unlikely you paid a dealership say the full ap in advance and before delivery they ceased trading you could be right up the creek (unless paid via credit card with min of £100).
My dealer didn’t ask for a penny of the £2499 upfront and they later did reduce it to £2099 without me even asking and the order date didn’t change.

We decided on Estate for the lower boot access and rear wiper. Does anyone know if the estate delivery times are the same as the coupe?
January 29, 2024 at 3:45 pm #256649I spoke to my dealer this afternoon regarding any update to my order. He said that he hasn’t been given a build date for my vehicle yet, he said as soon as he knows he’ll let me know. I ordered on the 29th November. I’m really looking forward to my new car, but the more i think about it the longer it seems to take, LOL! I’ve ordered a Moon White 85x Sportline Plus. Has anyone else with a similar order date been given a build date yet?
January 29, 2024 at 3:49 pm #256650Hi yes, I have ordered the exact same one and I ordered it. I think on the 20th of December and I was informed about a week or so ago that it will be build week 8 and I should be receiving it in April.
January 29, 2024 at 3:49 pm #256651I ordered 30th Dec and been told I’ll get an update on 8th February with build date estimated delivery etc
January 29, 2024 at 3:56 pm #256652Thanks both, hopefully i’ll hear something around then too.

they said they will take this £500 off my final AP payment and the reason for this is if I will decide to cancel my order they would have to pay this fine and now if I decide to cancel I will not get this £500 back. And I also asked if the AP will go down by the time I will have to collect if they will change it but they said no. ?
January 29, 2024 at 4:24 pm #256654I’ve had Motability cars for over 30 years and have never been asked for a penny before I collect the car even when I’ve had extras fitted, if they’d asked me for £500 I would have gone elsewhere.
January 29, 2024 at 4:26 pm #256655JDA – Ordered same car on same day as you, no build date up to now.
January 29, 2024 at 4:37 pm #256658Well, I had a few issues with ordering my Enyaq.
I tried to get the dealer to match the drop in price for the 85x sportline this quarter. He wouldn’t so I went elsewhere and reordered. Then I had a rethink and asked if they could source an Edition 85 quickly.
Managed to locate one 2 weeks ago and picked up this very morning. More than happy with the spec and not too fussed its not the 85x sportline I originally wanted.
January 29, 2024 at 4:55 pm #256660I question why the dealer thinks you will loose £500 if you cancel. Your contract is with Motability and only signed electronically when you enter the PIN. The paperwork you signed at the dealers is a retail invoice and only serves the purpose of ordering x on behalf of Motability.
The fact your dealer wouldn’t be prepared to lower the AP, if it went down between now and collection, ontop of wanting £500 would have been enough for me to walk away and orderd elsewhere.
Skoda (VW) dealers act as a direct sales agency for its EV’s in UK and will do the same in the rest of Europe. Meaning dealers profits on selling EV’s will be lower than ICE, which continue to be sold as before. Understandably dealers are issed of, as profits will come from servicing etc – hence they will try anything lol.
January 29, 2024 at 5:24 pm #256661Bogzaf, your dealer sounds terrible, like Kezo I’d have told him where he could stick it and ordered elsewhere.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
January 29, 2024 at 5:57 pm #256663When i ordered the dealer said they usually ask for a deposit but if i agreed that the £750 would be paid direct by Motability it wasn’t needed. I just paid balance when we picked it up last week. The reduction in AP was done without asking prior to pickup. Tell them to jog on.
January 29, 2024 at 9:13 pm #256680I already ordered this and paid 🙁 I’m new in scheme. Been awarded high rate for a first time as my condition went worse. My dealer said they can’t do anything if AP will go lower as they once asked notability and been told that they have sick with the price which was on time when ordering.
January 29, 2024 at 9:59 pm #256690They are talking utter cr@p
Motability have no say in it.
If the AP drops before you collect the car all the dealer has to do is cancel the Motability order (not the factory order for the car) and then resubmit it. Takes 5 minutes, doesn’t cost the dealer anything, they don’t lose any money.
All that changes is the amount you pay to Motability via the dealer when you collect the car.

I know ! But unfortunately looks like I made a mistake and order enyaq with wrong dealer:( so yeah for future reference be careful on wings of Škoda Peterborough.
