Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.
So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

There must be a good reason why they’ve done that, maybe it’s to do with the recuperation or something!
I test drove the Sportline plus coupe and believe me, the drums don’t affect performance, I hammered that test car and it never faltered! The breaking was really positive for a car weighing over 2 tonnes, and in regen mode (B) you don’t really need it anyway! It’s a great car and I’m sure we’ll be over the moon when we get them!

January 1, 2024 at 11:36 am #252913<p style=”text-align: left;”>VAGs theory is that all round disc brakes are not required, as the rear drums will hardly be used so its economically cheaper to fit drums than discs Thatto also would go rusty and stay that way due to lack of use.

All VAg cars on this platform have this setup (and no frunk)Re build of Lhd/RHD build changes, its not an issue, ots mire important to batch colours more than hands, as the cleaning of lines and booths is a high cost.
Each car has a build sheet and a tracker fitted and as ut goes past stations, the signal is given to send specific parts to a station ahead to fit at these, so lhd/rhd uis no issue (tge painted door are detached from the car to build them up on a separate libe and rejoin tge car later. Tge dashboards are also built off line
January 1, 2024 at 12:45 pm #252950The Enyaq Sportline plus coupe I ordered last week has dropped to £2599 AP from £2699 but I think I’ll leave my order as it is now and just ask the dealership to throw some goodies in as goodwill, mats, etc. It’s a lot of car for the AP and monthly motability lease, I think my order came out at over £56k. Happy Days! ?
The change in AP has no effect on the dealer, they get a set fee regardless so there is no incentive for them to throw things in . It’s best to just ask for the discount.
January 1, 2024 at 1:07 pm #252956So we’ll be ordering the 85 in the next couple of weeks. Can anyone tell me the difference in the following models, Lounge, Suite, Ecosuite and Sportlune. Am I correct in thinking the Suite has leather seats?
Thanks
January 1, 2024 at 1:17 pm #252962That’s quite a big question to ask, JoJoe.
The Skoda brochure (below) answers all these for you, in great detail.
Basically, the Lounge is the most basic trim, Suite has leather, and Ecosuite seems to be a slightly higher quality interior.
The Sportline is the 4×4 model, with sports suspension and sports seats.

January 1, 2024 at 1:19 pm #252963If you go onto the Skoda website, you can configure your car & it lists everything you get. It also allows you to change colours, wheels etc so you can see what your car will look like. Worth doing so you make the right choices!

January 1, 2024 at 1:32 pm #252966So it’s just the interior design. Cheers ?

Surely the ecosuite has more PET materials?
January 1, 2024 at 2:35 pm #252980Yes, you could be right, Kezo. They do mention that the leather in the EcoSuite uses environmentally friendly leather tanning, etc.
January 2, 2024 at 1:11 am #253092Folks the difference between the edition and the sportline x apart from 4×4 is just styling? So would they have the exact same equipment levels but just look different?
I have asked this before but I’ve forgotten… sigh
January 2, 2024 at 2:06 am #253095<p style=”text-align: left;”>AWD, 20″ alloys, progressive steering, sports seats. Apart from that, just styling as far as I remember

January 2, 2024 at 9:06 am #253120The 85x Sportline also has faster DC charging at 175kw versus 135kw for the 85 Edition. That won’t make much difference though in reality.
January 2, 2024 at 11:18 am #253144Yeah, it’s one of those pointless exercises by a company to make you look. 175kw or 135kw, both take the exact same 28mins to 80%
January 2, 2024 at 12:12 pm #253376Cheers folks. Might nip over to the showroom and see what there. Mind I’ve been to two different dealers to see the 80 and they’ve only had 80 sportline X model in the room. It would be nice to see them in the flesh and beside eachother.
Just had a look on the Skoda website and there appears to be plenty of stock available of edition and a few sportline.
Their words ‘available immediately’ ‘available 1-2 weeks’ ‘available nationwide’. I didn’t dig to deep into it but just incase it helps someone.
January 2, 2024 at 12:17 pm #253377<p style=”text-align: left;”>Just a quick update for anyone with similar build week. I was build week 48 on my 85X Sportline. Just in with dealer who further reduced the AP to reflect the new prices and has let me know the car has left the factory. He was unable to tell if it has arrived in the UK yet but suggested it could have and has just not been scanned yet or waiting to be shipped. Either way at least it is on the way and changing the AP again easy.

January 2, 2024 at 4:23 pm #253443No 85 models yet in our dealership and even worse it was a low spec model. But after seeing the Astral, BZ4X and Enyaq my other half likes them in that order which is the same as me.
Astral is beautiful but not EV so not really happening, bz4x we both prefer on looks, meanwhile the Enyaq at the ap makes the most sense tbh.
So I’ve 6 weeks until I can order but it’s looking like the 85x sportline in black.
But I would really love to see the edition next to the sportline or even in the same compound just to compare.
January 2, 2024 at 4:53 pm #253455Exactly what I just ordered 85x Sportline in black. They had a couple Enyaq in black and it was stunning.
Just gotta email and ask for the £400 off the order now. I was convinced with my luck that it’d go up or get pulled on the first so I stuck an order in anyway. No harm done. Just got 16 weeks to wait now….
January 2, 2024 at 7:37 pm #253505Great rich. I thought black as I think I read that the badging and lettering on the sportline X is black and just thought it would look good. Sorta like a blackout/debadging effect which I believe some folk pay money to do.
Yip I just checked the Skoda configurator and it’s black Skoda lettering on the back. The Skoda badge on the front would be nice if black. And nother quick check shows plenty of aftermarket black Skoda badges, so may do it myself.
The chrome sportline badge on the side looks good so would better that colour I think.

January 2, 2024 at 8:14 pm #253522Yeah that’s very nice. I’m going to take a run out to another dealership tomorrow to see if they have any 85s in the show room.
I’ve another 6 weeks until I can order, it will probably be off the scheme by then lol
January 2, 2024 at 8:19 pm #253526Well hopefully you’re safe this quarter now. I was pooing bricks that it was gonna get pulled when I was finally to order after months of being faffed about but now I get a £400 bonus instead lol
January 2, 2024 at 10:09 pm #253540Mines build week 49 (ordered Sept 6th) dealer (Pulman Skoda Durham) hasn’t given me any idication of delivery apart from possibly mid Jan when I originally ordered it.
However, there’s a chap on the Facebook group who ordered on Oct 3rd with a build week of 48 and he’s collecting it this Thursday, same dealer as mine but different location (Pulman Skoda Sunderland, about 15 miles away).
Currently got a range of 45 miles left on my Ateca and trying not to top it up too far!!, got the electricity people coming on the 8th to upgrade the fuse etc. then the charger being fitted on the 10th.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
