Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.
So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

I’ve just test driven a coupe and it’s got a rear wiper!!! 73 plate 80 suite, so not a Sportline Plus or VRS and it had a rear wiper. I know because I put the car in reverse and nearly left through the sunroof as this wiper blade introduced itself.
85 has no rear wiper unfortunately, on any of the Coupe’s.
December 14, 2023 at 5:07 pm #251531Email from my dealer today that my 80 Sportline Plus order, build week 49, has now been built and is waiting to be shipped from the factory. Delivery to dealer expected towards the end of January. Order placed 13th September. Interestingly, confirmed as an 85 and not the 85X. Suggests that all orders (irrespective of Motability or otherwise) are being converted as per the document that was released by Skoda. So even though the 85 (non-X) isn’t available as a new factory order in the UK, they are manufacturing them – I guess as they’re available elsewhere in Europe it makes sense.
December 14, 2023 at 5:34 pm #251533Saw on another forum that there are 85 series vehicles available on the Skoda website. this include the 85 sport line plus checked and there are quite a few cars showing delivery within a few weeks.
@Nathan did yours change on the dealer system as an 85xSL before changing back to an 85SL?December 14, 2023 at 6:08 pm #251534@GAMO, I don’t think so. When the dealer told me previously that it would be an 85X that was his assumption based on the fact that the non-X isn’t available in the UK. I think it just stayed as an 80SL until it had been manufactured at which point it changed to 85SL. I think the Skoda stock locator is not always correct – does it list them as “available nationwide”? I’m not sure that means much aside from they are being manufactured.

December 14, 2023 at 6:12 pm #251536The rear wiper was part of the clever pack on the 80

It doesn’t show either in the website configuator, noe in tge 85 brochure
It’s not showing in the L&K car, so I think it’s been deleted

Or added as a standard item?
All I know for certain was the coupe I drove was a standard 73 plate model and had one. Skoda may have given in to the nagging.

December 14, 2023 at 6:35 pm #251540Not sure why all the confusion with the rear wiper?? 80 Coupe had/has one, 85 Coupe does not. @MFillingham the one you drove was an 80, therefore it had one.

December 14, 2023 at 6:50 pm #251542The 80 coupe didn’t have a wiper unless you ordered the option pack.
I ordered an 80 coupe suite back in July and one of the reasons I cancelled and went back to ordering the SUV is I wasn’t prepared to pay for an option pack to get a wiper.
I looked at all the Coupe available on auto trader and all standard ones didn’t have a wiper and all those with clever pack or higher had one.
The dealer was a bit clueless.

Maybe the documents relates to orders that were placed before it was issued? Im not fussed either way as the only difference between the 85SL and 85xSL is the front motors which I don’t want/need. I ordered October 25th and the dealer has said on Skoda system its showing as a 85xSL even specified 4×4.
Could the nationwide thing be because dealers are ordering from central stock now?
December 15, 2023 at 12:55 pm #251571My visit to the dealers yesterday must have worked!.
AP on my order has been corrected this morning, now back to £1749 🙂
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

December 16, 2023 at 7:28 pm #251632A couple of 85x SL Coupes have appeared on Auto Trader at Skoda Cardiff. It doesn’t specifically say they’re at the dealer yet but it does say they’re in the UK. If they were built right at the start of the factory changeover then that’s about 6 weeks from factory to UK. Obviously it could be shorter than this. Based on this, those with build weeks up to wk50 should all hopefully see their car at the dealer by the end of January.
December 16, 2023 at 8:39 pm #251640Is the 85 in, or when will the 85 start appearing in dealerships?
December 17, 2023 at 9:40 am #251655Is the 85 in, or when will the 85 start appearing in dealerships?
The 85 is in production npw, tge 80 finished end October.
The left hand drive has been available in some markets since Octover.
If you look at YouTube, you will see that two weeks ago there was the press event for the new 85 L&K and VRS models, so thet should appear, depending on Chrietmas holidays, very soon in the dealerships, but that will depend on how the production ramp up has gone
December 18, 2023 at 9:25 pm #251745Hello, is there anyone who ordered an iv80 before the switch over that has had any info from the dealer on which model they will receive. Ie 85 edition? Mines should be delivered start of January but unsure what model is arriving
December 18, 2023 at 9:43 pm #251751Yes, there’s a few of us on this forum who have had confirmation from their dealers. My Motability account was updated to show the change shortly afterwards.
Mine was build week 49 but not had any update, apart from the upgrade confirmation, from my dealer. Going by what others have posted here and on a couple of other Enyaq groups it should be on it’s way over and at the dealers mid to late January.

December 18, 2023 at 9:48 pm #251752<p style=”text-align: left;”>Hi Phaedra, my dealer is unable to confirm if I should get an 85 edition or some sort of 85 base model like the table says. He is confident it will be an 85 edition but has nothing to show that. I originally ordered an 80 suite. My account still showing that. Dealer was also to rang to say would need to pay more for the AP but then called back to say he wasn’t sure.</p>
December 18, 2023 at 10:04 pm #251753He sounds really useful 🙁
This is the Skoda upgrade guide,
It is possible you may get an 85 Edition as the base 85 model has been closed for ordering.

December 18, 2023 at 10:18 pm #251759@Phaedra, closed for ordering doesn’t mean not being manufactured. I’d take a guess that an 80 order without any extras would be built as a base 85, as per the table. I’m basing this on my order as an 80 Sportline being built as an 85 Sportline, even though it doesn’t technically exist in the UK.
December 18, 2023 at 10:22 pm #251760I ordered an 80 Sportline plus on October 9th and i contacted my dealer today who said as far as they know it will be an 80 Sportline Plus that ill be getting. Still says this on my motability account too.. No build date as of yet they said too
December 18, 2023 at 10:22 pm #251761Yes, there are a few odd reports of “non-standard” cars arriving, depending on the build week it may be a base 85 or he may get an extra upgrade to the Edition or as you say a Sport Line that’s gotten through!. His dealer should know as Skoda will have confirmed the exact model on the build schedule.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
December 18, 2023 at 10:26 pm #251762@Houndog6105 I find it amazing that so many dealers are so clueless. 100% will not be an 80 unless they’re taking it from imaginary stock. It’ll be an 85 Sportline Plus. Mine was ordered as an 80SL+, now confirmed as built as an 85SL+, but still showing as 80SL+ on Motability account. I can’t see the Motability side changing as there is no non-X model on Motability.
