Great looking car – hope you enjoy it!

I’ve ordered a 85x sportline SUV in raceline blue – please let me know if you manage to source a black bonnet badge – I’ve seen some online ( all black, blue & black, red & black etc) but apparently the Enyaq is 110mm and these were only 100mm

        thanks

I ordered an Enyaq 85x SportLine plus last week and was told it would be mid December at the earliest – possibly January 25, so does this mean the car will be a MY25 and if so what is the difference in specification if any?

          thanks

How you have described using it still seems beneficial to me – this technology ( auto parking –  granted not with the key ) has definitely improved since i first used it probably over ten years ago

Thank you – I will look into  changing one of our outdoor sockets or adding the higher output one

My commute is 30 miles return total hence why I considered the plug in Tucson-  was worried about charging every night with a granny cable to our outdoor sockets ( std 3 pin for lawnmower etc) and was worried I may have to pay to upgrade our electrics if we changed to / added a special socket

I did read something about a new 5008 which will offer hybrids/ full EV – it has a smaller boot apparently- don’t think it’s coming out until 2025

Did seriously consider the Tucson, the FHEV would only marginally reduce my fuel spend, The plug in would need charged every night to provide electric commuting and or I’d have to pay for a home charger to reduce charging times. It’s a great car, my chair fitted with rear seats tilted slightly forward

in the end the full EV cars seem to offer the best value just now on the scheme especially with the standard installation of a home charger included – hence why we ordered a Enyaq

I did see those cars on the website but dismissed them due to lack of  hybrid engine choice and or poor equipment specifications

We did look at the Kuga and you did have to move the rear seats to have as much boot space as say a Tucson ( but this impacts ability for rear seat passengers) also the PHEV model is £7.5k ap against £4.6 for the tucson

the 5008 when in 5 seat mode is over 900 litre capacity – ( it’s not on the scheme just now and we ruled out extending our current lease due to electrical gremlins it’s had since new and they can’t seem to fix) it’s a shame cars like a sorento,  Santa Fe, superb or Octavia estate aren’t available as these can cost less rrp than the Enyaq we ended up ordering.

Boot litre capacity doesn’t tell the full story either a lot depends on shape, height depth etc as to how useful the boot space is

ie the Ioniq is 520 litres and a wheelchair fits with back seats moved/tilted  forward – but my wheelchair was then taller than the  rear seats which obstructed the rear view

this Enyaq suv boot is a good height for me which at 585 litres is actually less than some tucsons

you do seem to need a large suv/ 7 seater to offer the same practicality as an medium/large estate car.

If you get to the hospital and all the disabled spaces are full, you have no choice but to park in a standard/narrower space.  Although far from ideal this function is better than trying to get out  of your car in those spaces. Wherever you alight ( put hazards on) and other people should be driving slowly enough to reduce the risk/danger.

                          This feature can only improve.

I test drove an Ioniq 5 and the way the salesman pitched it to me was – if all the disabled spaces were full I could get out the car and use the feature/key to park the car in a standard size parking space from the comfort of my wheelchair

Forgive my naivety but can’t you renew the online services for a fee after the 3 year subscription? Otherwise without this functionality the car is less appealing secondhand

I test drove an enyaq suv 85x Sportline plus today – really like the practicality of it ( wheelchair fits in the boot with the wheels still on and the parcel shelf  in place) I also like how it looks more like a “normal” car

considering ordering it in race blue with the advanced package and sunroof. Salesman said it could be December 24/ Jan 2025  delivery but that potentially Škoda may build a car available for stock before then  that I could get.
