Some info at last, I hope they don’t expect cars cleaned inside and out, as i usually do before i exchange. Seeing as car washes are closed and i cannot wash it by hand..or get the hoover to reach.

I was due to exchange 1 month ago and i have had the gcb within a few days of that. Just went to the bank this week to pay it in.. might be another 4 weeks till the first cars are exchanged..

I ordered in jan for april and the dealer had the car by the begining of feb, as they called to ask if i’d like to choose a 20 plate as they had the first batch in..

I’m actually getting my private plate on this car, which is on retention so declined, truth be told.

This car is kinda important to me.. It’s not been easy looking at cars this time, as in 2017 my son passed away and he always loved helping me with my cars, in fact not long after getting the golf the 2017 civic came out and he told me about it.

He was like wasn’t your first car a honda dad, yep, like this one but had blue interior

I was like maybe next time 2020 i’ll get one..It was the only car i had a test drive in this time.. Going to car dealers without him just made me so sad..

How i miss my car buddy. It’s not been the same looking without him and having his input, this pandemic has really put a spanner in that for me and it’s not been easy, not knowing.

A message from Robert Forrester, CEO of Vertu Motors plc

        Updated: 15th May, 2020 @10:38
Following the recent Government advice, I am delighted to say customers are now able to collect a car which has been purchased either online or via the telephone directly from our dealerships in England. Home delivery options are also available.
Safety remains at the forefront of our thoughts and this service will be offered on an appointment only basis. All handovers will take place from a designated exterior handover area and full social distancing practices in place to ensure both colleague and customer safety. Our showrooms and forecourts remain legally closed for sales.

Until we can fully re-open our showrooms,, our colleagues will remain on hand to assist with your sales and aftersales enquiries via telephone, email or live chat and our websites are fully functional with online car retailing capability.
We are also welcoming customers back into our service departments for servicing, MOT & repairs. We have produced a video which covers the details, but to give an overview – we have introduced social distancing measures, an appointment-only system, protective screens at our service desks as well as cashless payments.
Thank you for your patience, and for working with us to ensure our dealerships are a safe place to visit and work.

I take it you don’t drive then.. Seeing as your mum is the main driver.

It is her that has allowed someone whom she knows is not covered to drive, to drive the car. Which is an offence in it’s self..

The boyfriend is liable if he owns up to driving at the time of the crash or the police are already involved if there was a 3rd party involved, if not your mum could of been driving and said it was the boyfriend as she’d been drinking.

At the end of the day if you was not driving or in the car and did not give permission. it’s not down to you as regards to laws being broken, but as the owner you maybe liable as you tookout the lease and agreed to the terms of them.. it’s not something i have to consider as i’m the only driver and owner..

Personally I’d let your mum and her boyfriend take fully whats coming to them. Or it could land  you.. liable

Also the scheme rules have been broken by the named driver in a huge way and thats also on you, however unfortunate that is, so either they will never be allowed to drive a mobility car again or maybe you won’t be able to get another car on the scheme. Thats down to mb i would imagine. There is no hiding from the facts unless you throw your mum under the bus, you on the hook imo.

what a mum hey. I feel sorry for ya. disown her. I would.

Come on Motability, now the dealerships are reopening it’s time to publish the new list.

Sure they are only open for after sales to everyone, most by appointment and can only do online sales and delivery of cars. Till at least 1st of  june. Plus mb have said it will be 2 weeks before any cars are handed over after lockdown and showrooms reopen..

I was due to exchange on april the 15th. Not heard anything from the dealer..  since they rang me on the 24th of march. I’m thinking maybe 15th of june if they open on the 1st. 4 months now the cars been at the dealers.

I may cancel my order if it’s longer than 15th.. But the dealer has my private plate that was on retention, it’s still not showing as on a car at dvla, but if they put it on what then..

That is great news on the 225bhp i had no idea. Why the difference between the two though? Why not 225 across the whole range?

I think it’s to do with the power to weight ratio, I dunno maybe bigger  batterys for longer range of a full ev are heavier than fuel in an ice car and a tank to hold it in.

Also a hybrid has 2 engines which again is more weight.

It’s not something i had looked into as yet, would a hybrid golf be 225 i dunno. Info is vague on this it’s judged by each car that come onto the scheme and sometimes it’s the price cap..

one engine is cheaper than two.. But to meet eu regs car makers are doing it or they’ll be fined, they also removing their most polluting models or making them hybrid.

It’s not a surprise to me, ai already controls the social credit system and cameras are everywhere, using facial rec even with a mask, they know where you live and the cameras pick you up and track you everywhere, even a secret agent cannot avoid the network. seen a good few docs on on all that.

Boris did a speech to the un in sept 2019 i think it was, at the time he sounded crazy, but very intresting now about nano technology inside us and smart bollards and lamposts watching us and google and alexa knowing everything about us unlike our friends and family who don’t know us at all.. like what i type on this page, what i search for etc. ai creates a file on you..

Watch how tech will be used to enslave us and used against man rather than for the good of man, in the guise of being for the good of mankind, whoops cannot say that humankind. Weaponised robotic solders / cops are next…They’ll be replaced as well in the technoindustrial age.. probabally by 2100. No drivers or delivery persons will be needed. Once robots can create robots and write code most humans are obsolete.

all bets are off on what the future will be.. maybe over any way when 101955 Bennu hits

                2060 close approach

Bennu will pass 0.005 au (750,000 km; 460,000 mi) from Earth on 23 September 2060,[1] and will be too dim to be seen with common binoculars.[69] The close approach of 2060 causes divergence in the close approach of 2135. On 25 September 2135, the nominal approach distance is 0.002 au (300,000 km; 190,000 mi) from Earth, but Bennu could pass as close as 0.0007 au (100,000 km; 65,000 mi).[1] There is no chance of an Earth impact in 2135.[70][11] The 2135 approach will create many lines of variations and Bennu may pass through a gravitational keyhole during the 2135 passage which could create an impact scenario at a future encounter. The keyholes are all less than 55 km wide.[68]

On 25 September 2175, there is a 1 in 24,000 chance of an Earth impact,[11] but the nominal 2175 approach is in February 2175 at a distance of roughly 0.1 au (15,000,000 km; 9,300,000 mi).[1] The most threatening virtual impactor is on 24 September 2196 when there is a 1 in 11,000 chance of an Earth impact.[11] There is a cumulative 1 in 2,700 chance of an Earth impact between 2175–2199.

Point is at some point the earth pull will alter it’s course and they don’t know how but it will hit this planet at least once every 130000 years one does..

Guess not many ppl are thinking about a car so not posting on here and searches are all about traffic and revenue for the search engine.. Like targeted ads, when you search for say a hot tub and then open a facebook then the ads are for hot tubs. Even though you’d bought one from argos, It’s not that smart yet. plus it does depend what you search for on different searches.. where i live there a place in the usa so if i’m after anything local i need to put uk in as well.. even then some still come up then i have to add more words to narrow it down. to find the info i want..

yeah it’s crazy really, how little room there is inside alot of cars legroom wise, my partners mum had a stroke and getting her bad leg in the car not easy for my partner at all and it look as if shes hurting her or gonna break it to get her in always the front, got no chance getting her in the back..

rox is a dude… he he he.. with a real bad back and many other issues. Once you sit on the seat it’s very hard in some cars to then swing your legs in without hitting the door pillar.. The more i have to bend them the more it hurts.. In some cars my seat is so far back no one wants to sit behind me. Many years ago i could not drive a fiesta or a mini without dropping the clutch as my knees would hit the steering wheel..

Jim I’ve had golfs for over 10 years I can’t wait to see brand new shape Leon hybrid when Seat showroom opens

Back in jan when ordering there wasn’t any golf’s to replace my current mk7 golf with.

Now 4/5 months later will the mk8 be on the scheme soon. I just dunno. if so, i may cancel my current order..  Seat and audi dealers are to far away, for me to consider them. Problem is servicing etc, them not being local.

Think the cap is 225bhp for hybrids and ev’s. Seems though alot of cars the bhp is getting lower on ice cars. with less output to meet eu standards. which is why i decided to get a civic sport 182bhp from a 1.5l vw you get 150bhp.

I just wish there wasn’t such a large difference in AP for having a automatic gearbox as I only have a automatic license

Think it’s about £600 to £1000 more for an auto than a manual transmission.

Electric or hybrid cars all have autos. So maybe that’s a good thing. although when they go wrong they cost alot more to fix, but thats not our problem on the scheme.

It’s certain that you will not get the money back (it’s dead money imo) unless after 3 years you buy it outright. Every car i’ve had so far on the scheme has had an ap (highest so far £750) and sometimes it comes down to only a few options regarding my needs etc, which every 3 years increase.

I was due to exchange back in april and this time the ap is the highest so far, although with the increase of the gcb to £600 from £250 and a £200 dealer contribution it’s not that much more than I’ve paid previously.

Who knows if i’ll get it though, no joke it’s now been at the dealers for 3 months now.

Personally the cars gotta meet your needs and for us that varies.. As i need an auto now, I have gone back to cars rather than an suv or mpv that higher. As the ap is not as high and i cannot afford to pay a really high premium Every 3 years.

The max i will pay is around £250 per year which is £750 in total which is just over £20 a month.

As soon as my new lease starts i start saving £20 a month..

I do not add any options, so options i need like adaptive cruise control, needs to be standard as well.

bmw , mercedes and alot of other makers do it as part of a pack some are £1500 for the pack alone. it how they make money. everything on the car i was getting is standard and not much can be added and all for less than £1500 for one driver assistance pack. which includes the acc. thats crazy imo.

This time it was a choice of two cars and i only drove one and decided the other was to small as the battery was in the boot. plus you got to live with the car for 3 years. so is a huge decsion.. right now i have a golf and it has done ok. I’d not get one with same seats though.

No car is perfect especally when you have long legs some higher ones are not easy to get into. It’s a trade off

Well like i said when this all started,  It will be used as an excuse for a new direction, Because of lockdown we have seen the light and the new way forward.

The new normal and a new healthy world, One where no one ever dies, unless we decide to put a DNR on you and Is a chance to good not to be missed, one for generational change. I call it social engineering.

One agenda they scaring everyone into believing. climate change… which was gobal warming.. but it ain’t warming.. so it’s been changed..

The car is the enemy of the United nations, as it is freedom to travel where you want, when you want. especailly for us disabled people. I ain’t heard one thing about us in all of this. In un agenda 21 it states. The people must pay for the demise of the car..

I was mowed down by a car when i was 9 years old. it’s why i’m now why i am why i am…

Do i blame cars, no I don’t…I’m lucky to be here.. but there are those that do, they’ll hate elctric cars to.. it will be the drone or the electromagnetic field, that will be bad for health, something like that. it’s how they roll it out. for our good and safety.. at first with a carrot then with a stick.. you will conform to the new normal one way or another..

Pretty much the same thing is going on all over the world. One where the people / citizens are being treated like cattle. Told what to do and how to live and if you break the rules.. your peers are the 1st to say so..

Are these the people we trust to be honest with us or are they out to exploit us, sell us down the river for their benefit and that of the 1% er’s… They’ll be the only ones able to fly, more than once a year, if they allow us to at all. why do the think the WHO loves China… as they already have a social credit system in place.. The WHO’S masters the UN role out the agenda and all ngo’s implement it from grass roots to the goverments at top….if only it was that simple.

We are following the science they say, the only thing is it’s what they choose to allow and dismiss any other narritive, theory, even before any hard data or facts. infact they go out of their way to not share any data used to make the calculations. So others cannot check the results..

They just say our model shows this or that..

You cannot protest against it either it’s now banned.

Soon a crime thats not a crime and is a non- crime will be a crime.. you will got to jail for just saying what i am saying now..

Only one view is allowed, that of authoity, who those at the top decide is key and what info is allowed or not allowed to be thought never mind said or written..

Boris is like all the rest, he’s only where he is, as he is allowed to be there.. like saddam hussian was until he went against them. they call it wanting regime change. Their excuse there was wmd, umm lies and a cover up. hillsborough more lies for 25 years,, grooming gangs more lies… The report findings are not in the public interest to release. In another abuse case the files was sealed for 100 years. How long before people wake up to what’s really going on..umm, They won’t till it’s to late and is nothing anyone can do about it then. it’s to late..

like now…So lets see what he says.. I’ll be watching live on youtube, as i need to here the whole speech not just what the msm propaganda spreaders push.. Everything is interconnected. thats how it works so well and people say there’s no way, your crazy, well everyones lockdown who healthy and not infected. to not overrun the nhs, every year because of the flu it’s overrum… in fact on average everyday 1300 ppl die everyday in the uk, if we all say in and never go out again..it will drop to 1000. we can saves 300 soals.

300 now that was agood movie.. Ban all warmongering… it will save alot more lives, but thats just the collateral damage for the spoils of war.. It’s a price worth paying they’ll say… All about the flow of the money not the actual money. who controls the flow has overall control..

The goverment borrows from the private BOE and pays back from the sweat of the citizens.. who are the cattle they will slaughter if needed.

BTW sorry if this offends anyone it’s a view of my observations of a global scale.

Maybe because of my brain injury, i look at everything logically and this is all illogical. They wouldn’t lie to us would they.. quarintine the healthy those at hardly no risk, for there own good or for others. when it’s a bad cold one of over 200… everytime there a cold or think you have covid lockdown .. from symptoms. everyone i know has had it  but don’t know and thats exactly how they want it.. We’ll accept any solution while we scared out of our minds..

I’m not scared of covid, i’m more scared of man and his desire to engineer us and force us to accept the narritive. Using aggression when the people rise up against tyranny.

Personally I should have my 2 kids in my sight and never sleep 24/7 as one died, in his room at home, where you think they would be safe. 1 out of 3 / 33.33% of my kids gone.. between lunch and dinner.. Two sisters without an older brother, but would that be fair on them no it would not..life goes on..

If i go out and have an accident my kids will be without a parent, should i stay in, no i should’nt.

5% of ppl who get covid 19 die that’s from those tested and hospitalised, I believe.  Could be alot less and  The london borough of Newham has the highest Covid-19 death rate, a study has shown the borough has an age-standardised mortality rate of 144.3 deaths involving the virus per 100,000 people, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS). lets look at that 144/100k = 0.00144‬.

So no i won’t be downloading the app..

All this info i heard on the bbc and Personally i think we all being railroaded by the anti capitalist, global warmimg activists the ones who modelled 500k deaths but then have their girlfriend who married round as they know it’s all scaremongering.. Next thing is we’ll all be on lockdown for anything that has a slight risk..

The common cold which there’s no vaccine for, oh what is covid.. lets see

You know the drill. Your throat feels scratchy, you start sneezing and coughing, and pretty soon you’re in the grip of a nasty cold. To add insult to injury, all that big-time misery is from a tiny invader — a living thing called a virus.

And it’s not just one you need to dodge. There are more than 200 that can lay you low.

It’s likely that someday you’ll have a close encounter with one of these types:

                                      Rhinovirus
                                      Coronavirus
                                      RSV and parainfluenza
There are also a lot of viruses that doctors haven’t identified. About 20%-30% of colds in adults are caused by these “unknown” bugs.
                                      How and When They Strike
Cold viruses have a lot in common, but each type has its own style, too.

Rhinovirus. This bunch is most active in early fall, spring, and summer. They cause 10%-40% of colds. You’ll feel plenty miserable when you catch one, but the good news is they rarely make you seriously sick.

Coronavirus. These tend to do their dirty work in the winter and early spring. The coronavirus is the cause of about 20% of colds. There are more than 30 kinds, but only three or four affect people.

RSV and parainfluenza. These viruses cause 20% of colds. They sometimes lead to severe infections, like pneumonia, in young children.

Pretty much when we get a cold we don’t go see the oldies in the family, as they both have underlieing conditions and any cold could give them pneumonia and sepsis..

Plus they not testing most people and one can self diagnose..So many think they’ve had it already but have they or not that is the question..

Plus some say if you have a cold you will you test postive for the test they doing.. some say yes you will.. thats why pablo dybla some footballer has tested positive 4 times in 6 weeks, i myself have had 3 colds since xmas day, the one in jan was very nasty, was it covid 19 i don’t know..

Wowww rox anything I say in reply to your post is likely to upset you, so all I will say is that its optional so no worries.

Nothing will upset me, I don’t go round telling people there views are wrong, or what they should do.. apart from trying to inform myself and i persoanlly don’t think the mainstream offer much apart from doom and gloom.. I try and look at things from many perspectives, from the realms of posabilities out there..

if you’d asked most ppl if this would be the case before the virus people would laugh and say it’s all a conspiracy your crazy. We won’t all be lockdown in our homes for months maybe.. it will never happen. but it has, anything is possible and it is the pll that always suffer… We lucky in the uk. Is alot worse in other places around the world..

It’s a no from me, why maybe along on, in the uk, NHSX are planning to store all our data on their server, so it can be used for research etc.. do you know dvla sell ppls detail and so did hmrc to private companies.  gchq is involved and on the same day they released info about it being centralised, on the bbc i read how gchq needs to use ai alot more and for that they need data, lots of data and ai can only work with the data it has access to…

I watched some doc about ai, and they already using it in some countries, pure crazyness, even to decide if you get a loan or not for instance, as ai can look at alot more than a human can.. including do you let your phone battery get low, if you do you deamed more of a risk taker, i not saying it’s decided on that but you can see, where did that data come from to put in the algorithm, If we are not careful, we’ll all be barcoded or chipped and tracked, like in china with there social credits scheme, It’s a great excuse this to roll out more UNAgenda21. scaring ppl into accepting their solutions and based on science of the who, big pharma etc causing the chaos so they can offer the solutions is what they do over and over, to enslave the general public to the debt.. They control the flow and creation of it.. but never create the interest that must be paid back. so there is never enough to pay back all the original debt and then ppl default. it’s a system one they control..

They will never be happy and never stop

If they can drop bombs on people they can decieve the ppl. I do not trust them one bit or the msm now, it’s all propaganda, look at brexit, even now they still trying to change the outcome by hook or crook.

Only today a lecturer at oxford doesn’t want oxford to win the race to create the vacine, why because it means probally white pp,l probally mostly male and they being in the uk not china and that they saved the world and we’ll look good not bad, that cannot be allowed to happen. crazyness but this is what the world has become..

Personally they should be sacked. They do not have pride in our country only disrespect, but if it was me because of this post i’d be sacked. As it goes against their narrative and any other view is dismissed out of hand and called far right, To close down speech and take our freedoms away, why is it ok for the welsh or scottish to fly there flag but if you english you must be a facsist.. stuff like this makes be boil coz who are the real fascists. Who preech tolerance but have none for everyone who disagrees, with them and their agenda.

Rolling out there version of social change.

I hope I’m wrong, but i doubt it.

It’s catch 22.. they got us..well most of us petrified, and most will accept anything, with open arms.

The cure is alot worse than the poison, for generations now it will affect us.. if 1/3 of all deaths have been in care homes, I wonder how many ppl of the overall number of deaths if had got i’ll (not covid related), would of had a DNR put on them, by a doctor not themselves. Nothing so far has changed my mind, man is evil and do you think those in control really care if we suffer. look how the ill and disabled treated by the state with regards to pip/ dla / esa assements all to save money..

Once the Government restrictions are lifted and we have re-opened, we will be in touch with you to arrange a date for the handover of your new car. Motability have explained to us that there will be a minimum 2-week delay between the end of the lockdown restrictions and the first new car handovers.

I reckon dealers will open with special measures in place on the 5th of may, but it will be at least 2 weeks before a mobility cars can be Picked up. So on the 19th of may, maybe I’ll get to exchange, which i was due to, on the 15th of april..

As for taking orders and a q2 list prob be on the 5th of may.. which be real cool..

                                                Updated: 20th April, 2020 @17:15
In following HM Government and Public Health England advice, we recently made changes to the delivery of sales and servicing across our dealerships.
While our dedicated teams have always been available to help customers and to discuss their needs via live chat, email and telephone, in all but exceptional circumstances, we decided to postpone any delivery or collection of vehicles due to the lockdown.

Following recent clarification, we are now offering assistance to key workers in need of a vehicle, who live within 20 miles of the supplying dealership. We will continue to keep these matters under review and to ensure that we prioritise both colleagues’ and customers’ health and wellbeing as our number one priority.

A large number of our service departments have remained open to assist key workers, essential organisations and vulnerable customers with servicing, repairs and tyre needs. We believe that this is an important service to our local communities and customers.

We continue to monitor and follow advice from Government. We are now beginning to plan for the safe and gradual return to offering a full service through both our sales and service departments. This will include use of PPE, social distancing policies and new working practices.

A VIRTUAL showroom and minimal contact, contactless delivery measures could mean picking the car up from the dealers as well.. As they just not geared up to deliver everycar and would add costs to the operational and otr. price.

They been doing online chats on youtube, with those in the trade and they seem to think. online will play a big part moving forward.. soon there maybe car vending machines hahaha, deffo a video etc of a car .. but really you need a test drive especially in our case and maybe a law change as the long distance selling rules maybe a problem, as with no test drive maybe some may be unhappy.. when like with vw ceratin things it’s not clear they not included but on the car like mirrorlink etc gotta pay more to get it unlocked..

All i need to do is collect mein and tell them the pin one weeks gone by now since i was suppossed to exchange.. but if we all on lockdown is no point having a brand new car and cannot drive it..

Prob will be by appointment only.. once i get my new car, i’m going to drive to scotland then drive straight back he he he just because i can..

Thing is if we not using fuel, Then everywhere gets full up. Including the depots / refineries and the filling stations. They cannot buying more oil etc at the lower prices, until they sell what they got.. which they paid a higher price for.. just no where to store it… Crazy times but this has been going on long before the virus as ships sit outside ports for weeks that full up with no where to unload..
