The dealer has given me the VIN number and I’m sure that I read in the past that you could then use the Skoda app to track its journey from the port to the dealer. But I can’t see a way in the app of doing this. Anyone else any the wiser? Or is it a case of ringing up the dealer every week and saying “where is it now”? Pretty sure he’d get fed up of me!
I tried this when I ordered my Enyaq, got the VIN from the dealer but you can’t use it in the app if you are in the UK, another Brexit bonus it seems. Pretty sure this works fine for European customers.
Just have to keep asking the dealer, their systems seem to have a pretty good idea where the car is at a given time.
March 14, 2025 at 11:46 am in reply to: Electricity tariffs and setting up of EV home charging procedures #299425Have a question regarding adding an EV charger to my current setup, apologies if it’s been asked and answered before!
I have a Givenergy Inverter and battery used to draw energy from rooftop solar panels. We’ve currently got Octopus Go, which I use mainly to charge our Kuga PHEV overnight, and top up the battery, in the 5 hr cheap unit rate that this tariff gives us every night.
Going to order an Enyaq BEV in the next month or so, I’m wondering the best way to integrate the Ohme EV charger into this setup… I’ve seen suggestions that the best way to ensure that plugging in the EV doesn’t drain the battery (usually used to supply the cheap rate from charge to the house the next day) is to get it wired in on the grid supply side so that the inverter isn’t aware of it?
I’m assuming that wiring it on the other side would make it pretty complex or impossible to manage in terms of the inverter talking to the charger and able to supply power at times of my choosing.
In any case I plan to move to Intelligent Octopus Go at the time to get a longer charging window overnight.
Hope this makes sense… still trying to get my head round it all!
New Enyaq brochure available today… https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/c72dfee1-ab36-40e0-b1be-9c99293156c2
Can no longer order Enyaq MY25 unless they are in stock only MY26 if you get Sportsline plus has the variable boot floor as standard and no point with the heated screen just precondition from the app.
I thought MY25 was the facelift version? That’s what I meant anyway – the newest model.
Sportline is too expensive, AP on standard Edition 85 is £1299, transport pack is £300, winter pack is £450. so £2049 all in… sportline is £2299 so more expensive to start with.

I also had a test drive of the Enyaq yesterday, it was nice, although we were stopped by the police …… the dealer had put the rear trade plate upside down, that aside, the officers were interested in the car and agreed with me that Skoda have come a long way in recent years. So, I am now considering the car, lead time 13weeks ……….. don’t think I’ve ever waited more than a couple of weeks but it is what it is. If I was to order the car, Sportline, then the AP is £2299.00, has anybody managed to negotiate this amount down and what extras have you also managed to bag, used to be Mats, Flaps and a full tank on fuel. I think the only extras that I’m really keen on now would be front and rear dashcam together with the carpet mats.
In terms of extras, I have an appointment in about 3 weeks to order our Enyaq MY25, I’m going to order the transport pack so that I can have a level boot floor to easily slide a wheelchair in and out on, and I’m tempted to go for the winter pack which adds a heated front windscreen. I currently have a Kuga PHEV, and find the heated windscreen really handy to demist the screen when driving and not have to use the blowers all the time.
seeing the dash lit up won’t give you much info on how it is to use….
I would disagree, in my opinion this is essential, essentially with ALL the functionality in a lot of cars only being through a central touchscreen, I can easily assess how easy a car will be to use when driving if I can briefly sit in it with the screen active.
I’d rather not waste my time going to see a car that looks ok, but when you turn it on the car is just unusable.

Just some general info for anyone looking to attend these events this year.
I went to the event in Edinburgh last year, and while the venue was easy to get to and easy enough to move around, the selection of cars we could view was relatively poor, and while we were specifically looking to sit in some of the EVs to assess comfort, accessibility, etc – this was not a good experience.
It’s astounding the amount of cars that you could sit in, but not power on, which is essential nowadays to test the aircon and comfort settings with pretty much everything going through the central touch screen. We were told it was a health and safety rule, that the cars were delivered – you could sit in them, but the keys had been taken away so they could not power on and presumably driven off???
I can understand this for ICE vehicles, where you don’t want engines powering off and throwing fumes round an indoor venue, but for EVs – there are no emissions, so what’s the danger in letting a customer turn on the ignition? There were at least a couple of cars we had to walk away from as you can’t get an idea how easy a car is to use with just a large blank inert touchscreen on the dashboard!
Some more thought about how to make these cars more presentable to the public would be helpful, for myself and my wife we wouldn’t go to another event like this – a visit to a dealership is a lot more productive.
Anyone added the transport pack to their Enyaq for the variable height boot floor? Thought this would be useful to slide a wheelchair in and out of the boot with no dip. Worth the extra cash or not worth it?
I got told by my dealer that the current 85 edition and 85x sportline plus would be available to order until the 6th March, on that date it would switch and the facelift would be able to be ordered. My earliest order date is the 13th March so anticipating it will be MY25 by then.
Anyone know if the facelift interior is identical to the current version?
We have done a test drive in the 85 Edition, and the seats and headrests in particular are suitable for my wife’s needs… concerned that if another one comes out then it may be possible that these are different?
Apparently you can still order the 85 Edition and 85x Sportline Plus until the 6th March… after that date it will change to the facelift models. My first allowed order date is the 13th March so not much chance of getting the current model I think!
I’ve been told by my dealer that the facelift is due to enter production mid to end of Feb this year, so would imagine that orders after that date will be for the facelift. My earliest order date is 13th March, so I would expect it to be the facelift, but how that sits with the current pricing I’m not sure.
He said that there will be revised pricing for the facelift, hasn’t been released yet. So even though the current quarter price for the Edition 85 of £1299AP stands, whether you will still be able to order at this price until the end of March I’m not sure. Also telling that Skoda still haven’t made this quarter’s prices available as a PDF to download on their own website yet, still the previous quarter’s information.
I see the Enyaq prices have went up from £999 AP to £1299 for the 85 Edition.
A general question, if you order at the end of the quarter, ie 31 March, could you then cancel/reorder on 1st April (new quarter prices) if the price has dropped again, or is this not allowed? Would there be any charges or allowed as it’s within 24 hours?
Am sure there must be something stopping this or everyone would be doing it?
Hi Imran, interested in your experience of going for the Zappi charger. We have a solar system, and our battery and inverter are both GivEnergy, the same company that makes the Zappi.
If this charger isn’t on the motability list, do they give you the equivalent cost to get another similar one installed? This way you could always get the best one for your individual situation.
Be a shame to miss out on the installation cost being limited to a few specific suppliers.
Our renewal is due in a few months time, so we can place an order from the end of this month.
Going to go for the Kuga ST Line PHEV, AP is £3895 will probably make a decent saving on not putting so much fuel in.
